This DQ is finally coming back to life. My favorite is the chicken strip basket with country gravy. It seems the gravy has lost its flavor it used to be thick, and flavorful. The service is good. The owners had their whole family running it. As they all were speaking their native language. The parking lot has a fresh layer block top. Sometimes good, sometimes terrible. Food is hit or miss. When it's good- hot and fresh, despite being fast food. Substituting condiments on burgers is a wallet assault! Who would guess that lettuce and tomato, instead of mustard, ketchup would be so expensive? Most "deals" aren't deals at all. Fried, fried, and fried! Plenty of better meal choices available elsewhere. read more

Definitely has improved over the years. We now receive our blizzards upside down, even in the middle of the summer. Great cookie/candy to ice cream ratio. Also, there was essentially no wait between our order and when we received the blizzards. The employees were very much on top of it. read more

Normally love this DQ but the last 2 times we've ordered blizzards, there just weren't up to par! I ordered a mixing bowl mashup blizzard, it was missing the brownie batter and there were literally 10 pieces of cookie dough bites in a large. The ice cream was delicious but they were mopping the entire floor while customers were there. We had to walk through wet floors and sit at tables with water beneath us. Several elderly customers were afraid of slipping. It was a hazard. If you must mop while customers are there, just do half at one time or leave a dry area to walk safely for a more pleasant experience. read more

This place was rusty, dusty and crusty bro. Like I'm not a person who cares all THAT much about a clean place but this DQ was rink-ity dink-ity bro. Almost died on their greasy floor. Entire floor was like the kitchen floor of Bojangles (I use to work there) you gon slip and die bro. Then I went to take my son to wash his hands in the bathroom and they left cleaning supplies out on the floor right outside the bathroom. My son went to grab them I stopped him. But that could send a kid/baby to the ER or even die if not put away!! I kindly let one of the employees know to put a caution sign on the floor to warn people and they should put up the cleaning supplies she rolled her eyes at me and made excuses of why it was like this that were not legitimate reasons. Some friends and I went to Dairy Queen on ladies island so she could get her kids a ice-cream cone.well I don't eat at dairy queen as their prices seem to me to be a little too much compared to other restaurants. Well when the girls got t heir vanilla cones I became very puzzled as their vanilla ice-cream looked like it had a brown tint to it. I didn't say anything because the girls seemed to be enjoying it..... but I decided then and there that I would never eat from there. That might have just been me .....but not after seeing that . When I was growing up Dairy Queen, was just a place that sold ice cream... The addition of food to their menu surprised me! I was traveling, and no longer in Florida... So i had already had dinner... but a cookies & cream blizzard was a must! I will eventually try the food as well, but omg that blizzard made my night complete! read more

The food came out really fast with great tasting blizzards but most of the food orders were made wrong.

This is my go-to ice cream shop. I always get the usual blizzard with Butterfinger and graham crackers. The staff treat everyone great! They always have great conversation with my kids, and they just have wonderful personalities. I've been in here when the place is jam packed and they always get through all of the orders very quickly. The drive-through is also very quick. I like to get complementary water as well because you know how ice cream is when you eat a bunch of it. Thanks Jay for always keeping this family coming back! read more

Unfortunately, this is not a good review. I have picked up dinner there many times since it was built. My oldest child is 38. Youngest is 18. I and a few of my kids have always ordered chicken strip baskets to go. Of course, the price has gone up. Originally, it was chicken tenders, big buttered Texas toast, gravy, then topped off w fries. Now, little tenders, no toast (Tx toast chgd to regular toast, now...no toast) and very few fries. Equal to maybe a small size, maybe. Previously, I called and let them know. I had not been to DQ in years, but it's safe to say that DQ has gotten better with age. They have so many Blizzards to choose from that they're listed in categories- Candy Cravers, Cookie Lovers, Fruit Fans, and Chocoholics. The Blizzard of the Month had me at hello; yes, I'll have a German Chocolate Brownie Mini Blizzard. The Mini Blizzard is the perfect size... big enough that you get your fix, but small enough that you're not swearing off Blizzards for the next month. The brownie pieces, pecans, and coconut were blended perfectly (still chunky)... now that's heaven in a cup. read more

I walk in and the clerk ask to take my order. As she was looking at me, I was looking at another employee. This other employee was eating out of what I though was a customers box of food. I looked at her in disbelief. The clerk noticed and called out her name. She knew what it looked like so she closed the box and said, " this is my food" I'm like "OH OKAY" and we all started laughing. It was such a pleasant moment. This is the nastiest place you can eat at. Ive literally watched as a roach crawled out of one of their candies. I understand its the south, but at least cover your foods. After not ordering ice cream, I ordered a #5 grillburger and I waited for 15 minutes only to have one of the girls from up front, who was cleaning tables, ask me why I was just sitting there. I told her I've been waiting for my food and she then proceeded to say "well maybe next time you'll go up front and get it." So she leaves and brings me my food. Again, nasty. I took one bite out of my burger and immediately spit it out. The meat was freezing cold and not even cooked all the way, not to mention the rotting lettuce. If I could give this place 0 stars trust me I would. I went out with my family to get ice cream after a football game and we ordered four items from the drive thru. The girl taking our order confirmed the FOUR items and told us "$75... oh I mean $7.75" so we drove to the next window and the girl says "11.85" and we asked why it was $11.85 since we were told $7.75 and she said "oh well it's $11.85" extremely rude and didn't care to explain what the discrepancy was. So we paid and they handed us 3 items and we asked where the fourth was and they said "oh you ordered another? We don't have that so it'll be another $4.75"..... just wow! The price changed 3 times then they tried to charge us for something we already paid for!! We said forget it and left. WILL NOT be going back to that place. The workers we encountered were RUDE and did not care about customers and telling us what the problem was and obviously do not know how to do their jobs by correctly pricing and communicating to their customers. I have worked at a restaurant for 3 years and I would never dream of being rude or charging my customers extra, let alone changing the price 3 times. read more

We just went to this Dairy Queen a couple of days ago after a long hot day out on the boat and it was amazing! We all got different types of DQ Blizzards and while I realize these are all the same at every DQ everywhere, the lady that made ours did a particularly fantastic job. I wish I would have caught her name because she was very friendly and patient with us as the four of us tried to decide what we wanted then she made our blizzards and for some reason they were the best we've ever had! read more

You need to instruct your employees to take care of customers that walk in faster instead of taking care of drive through customers first. My wife and I were ignored on two occasions by one female employee that did not turn around for a while to serve us. We love the food, but hate the current service there. The manager there needs to make sure customers that walk in are not ignored. read more
