Let me tell you, the employees here are so sweet. They do everything up to status and are so kind and loving to everyone. The atmosphere of the building is clean and looks amazing to me. Not only is the food AMAZING! But the ice cream is PHENOMENAL. I am so glad to have enjoyed such an amazing experience here at my local dairy queen in Channahon. Such kind loving staff! Went to DQ at 8:30. Very busy, not enough staff, and staff was obviously inadequately trained on servicing customers. Received food which was for EAT IN at 8:57pm. 1 minute later a rude young kid stood up and yelled to everyone they were closing at 9 and everyone needs to leave. We had taken maybe 1 bite. A chubby blonde girl feeling BIG harassed us saying we need to leave or she'd call police. They called police. The nice officer said if he were us he'd be calling DQ corporate/Mgt but said we had to leave because it was private and they wanted us out. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS PLACE. We support local business but will NEVER spend another penny at this disgusting place. When a bunch of flunkies are left in charge - what else can you expect? Lousy service, Lazy employees, Crappy food, and DISGUSTING OWNERSHIP! Do not do business there. The Creamery in Minooka, Il is locally owned, well respected, and community loved. Do not support this business. We stopped here for dinner at around 8:30. By the time we ordered it was 8:42ish. Our food came out at 8:57 according to the sales slip. We started to eat and literally seconds later a young man came out and yelled that the restaurant closes at 9pm and we have to leave. We started eating faster. Second after 9pm a young man came to our table and told us we had to leave. We said "give us just a few minutes and we'll be done. He left and moments later a woman came and told us we had to leave or they will call the cops! I told her we are almost done but feel free to call them if you want. She called the police. As we finished at 9:08 we were getting up to leave and the police came in. The officer that spoke to us listened to what we had to say and acknowledged that he understood our actions but they are a privately owned business and can demand anyone to leave at their discretion. Had they let us finish eating we would have been gone at 9:08, but once the police came we didn't get out until after 9:30. As we walked out a crowd of people approached us and said they saw the whole thing and one lady said "I am so sorry for what they did" and gave my wife a hug. There much more to this story but I think my point pretty clear. Supporting local businesses is very important to us, but this DQ is forever off our list. We stopped by for dinner Friday early evening. We were greeted by a friendly cashier. We each ordered the Ranch Double with Bacon combo. V with fries, mine with onion rings. The food was brought to our table by another friendly employee. Each had happy, warm, friendly smiles, and they must be enjoying their jobs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the onion rings are sliced onion rings, not onion bits molded into a ring, and you can taste the onion right away. The fries were ok, but nothing special. Evidently, you have to ask for ketchup. Hmm. V wanted ketchup but didn't want to ask LOL. My double was a tripple oops, well I'm not complaining. Both V and I enjoyed our burgers quite a bit. It stands up well to Culvers, which has high marks in my book. Later at home, V brought up how good the burger was, yummy, for sure. Our meal and the service were about as close to five stars as you can get. A prior review mentioned an odor. All we smelled was the pleasant aroma of cooking food. The one thing that hopefully management will focus on in the future is staying on top of cleaning the tables and floor. With all of the families with you g kids coming in, that is to be expected. During our visit, there were several napkins and food on the floor, as well as nearly all of the tables, needing a good wiping down, this the loss of a star. We'll be back for sure. read more

I took my grandson to get a chicken tender basket and what we got for 11 dollars floored me. I think they actually cout the fries as we only got 12 with this 4 piece tender basket. If you want a drink it's 1.70 more. That's ridiculous. The tenders are soooo small and must be frozen then fried. Horrible to day the least. We can't afford to eat here and not going back. read more

We went to order through the drive through to get blizzards when we ordered a blizzard that wasn't in season anymore. When we were notified about it, we ordered a different one. Another person turned their mic on and said "okay asshole." When we confronted her about it, she claimed to not be talking to us. Clearly the place is not managed right. Stopped in for some ice cream after dinner on 8/16/24 with my family. I wish I could say it was a pleasant experience, but there was a woman in the back by the drive thru window that was using a racial slur (the N word) and said it more than once loud enough for all to hear. Her language was completely inappropriate and UNACCEPTABLE. I am assuming she was a manager because no one told her to tone it down or stop and she said it more than once! If there was a manager that allowed it, shame on them! You have families with young children coming in and I, for one, did not appreciate my children having to over hear it! I intend on taking this to corporate! The Channahon Dairy Queen location has lost my business! From now on, I will drive past it and go to the Shorewood location! read more

Arrived around 2:30 PM. Parking on their lot is not recommended. Park in the Lalos lot and walk over or go to Lalos. The floor was soaked, not just wet, as if someone mopped, but didn't twist out the water from the mop. At least seven people behind the counter, none over the age of 18 I'm sure. 90 percent unsure of what they were doing or needed to do. (I understand they just opened, it's all new to them.) They took the order $7 chicken tender meal, fries, drink, and sundae, to go, with an extra drink. We get our drink cups one gets a fountain drink, I go to get a tea, it is empty. No problem, I inform them at the counter, we are still waiting for the food, I am told he can get it for me, behind the counter, so I wait. He comes back and says the one behind the counter is empty too. So of all the people behind the counter, who's going to make the tea? No one. So lemonade it is. Food arrives, great, oh wait we forgot the sundae. We wait. And then we go to the counter, we wait. I then inquire about the sundae, which was requested to be chocolate ice cream. I was then asked if we wanted the sundae now. Hmmmmm? This is a to go order. Yes, it will be right up. We wait. The sundae arrives with vanilla ice cream, I state that we asked for chocolate ice cream and they responded with it has chocolate on it. Oh my. I laugh because I just can't argue with this. Where is their guidance, owner, manager, somebody help these kids please. I want to say we were not there during a rush. Probably three other customers during our stay inside two came back to get something that was missing and one ordered like we did. I'm sure there were some drive thru traffic. However, there were a lot of workers and not enough working. I must say the individual that took the order was pleasant, just didn't seem to have a clue of what to do or what was happening. I will not be going back for ice cream or food anytime soon. We have options for ice cream and fast food in this area. And let's not forget the smell. I can live without that. read more
