This place was recommended to me so I thought I'd give it a try. Welcomed by workers when you walk in, and there were also patient with me as it was my first time and didn't know how to order. I got the prime steak sandwich, which they said was a new/seasonal item. Also got an avocado turkey sandwich and a chicken pot pie soup with 2 drinks for $30. 5 stars because the food was extra delicious. No complaints except maybe the drinks in the cooler were not as cold as I would have liked, but not to the point of being undrinkable. We sit at a table to be told "since the floors were just washed, we're not allowed to eat inside". I'm writing this as I eat outside and wonder what the owner or day manager would think. Your literally shutting down at 8:30 not 10 or even 9pm... won't come back. It's Potbelly's. Nothing new here just another location, but I am happy to have a location close to our home, in Joliet. It is a very clean location, with a drive-thru so there is your suburban flair added in (city transplant here). I went 5 days after they had open and you can tell they were still working out some glitches here and there. The sandwich order guy was quickly falling behind and the toppings gal was putting things in the wrong bags. Also I placed my smoothie order with our sandwich order and was still waiting beyond 5 minutes for it. A little upsetting when you have a two anxious, and hungry children waiting. Used to be my go-to restaurant because I think the food quality is great and it's by far healthier than other fast food. Lately I have gotten my order and there have been many mistakes. I've always overlooked them, like being charged extra for mushrooms or avocado but not getting it, but last Tuesday was ridiculous. I ordered ONE sandwich in the drive-thru. That's it. No drink, no sides, just ONE sandwich. I was on my lunch break and needed to hustle. I got back to my work and realized I got the completely wrong sandwich. I drove back and went through the drive-thru and was told I had to come in. I go in, have to wait at the register for 10 minutes before someone would even address me. A lady wrote down what I was supposed to have, told me to have a seat and they'd bring it right out. I waited and waited-they were legitimately busy- but I got sick of waiting after about 10 more minutes. The sandwich was done but nobody said a damn thing. It was just sitting there. I asked for it and it was shoved at me, no apology for the mistake, no apology for the 20 minutes it took to fix the problem after my first visit, nothing. I get back to work and the damn sandwich was still wrong. Paid about $9 for one regular sized sandwich that was still missing one of the premium ingredients and lost 1/2 an hour I'll never get back. read more

Have to mention how reasonable and yummy potbelly is. For $5.30 you can get the wreck sandwich, which in my humble opinion is the best thing they sell and one of the better and most reasonable sandwiches you can get somewhere.
