Went to the drive thru to order. Couldn't understand the person taking our order because she was slurring her words. After many attempts she finally got our order right. When we pulled up to the window five employees were inside just standing around. One of them sprayed whipped cream on the ceiling. After about 7 minutes my blue raspberry was finally done. Went to the Dairy Queen because my kids wanted ice cream and dinner and the cashier that took my order went right from the cash register to go, prepare the food without washing hands uses bare hands to throw the chicken tenders in the oil very unsanitary I don't recommend people go there they don't use good hygiene when preparing food!!!! read more

My husband just went through the drive thru and ordered 2 blizzards. He asked for covers but didn't get them even when he asked again. Plus the ice cream was so melted from the 5 minute drive home that it was like soup. No cover plus soupy ice cream equals a nasty disaster. Honestly this location has been a huge disappointment. I love DQ but this stores ice cream game is disappointing. Moved to this side of town and this store is consistent at serving a blizzard that's soft and runny. Didn't flip the blizzards upside down and handed them to me and said have a nice day and shut the window and walked away. I get people are busy and brushed it off the first time it happened, but their service is consistent. The "blizzard" did taste good, but I definitely should not be able to drink it. Went through the drive thru this afternoon. Waited 10 minutes behind the car that was at the window. I thought maybe they placed a huge order, but the bag they were handed was of average size. I get up to the window, and I wait several more minutes for my food. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger combo and one plain burger. You know, "fast" food. We were just in Eau Claire yesterday and stopped at the Dairy Queen soon after it opened. The place is well situated with adequate parking and clean grounds. There were already a few families there as it was hot and ripe for ice cream. The staffing seemed adequate on this occasion as we had our order taken immediately and delivered quite quickly. They never double checked my order and when I finally came to the window they did have my entire order. i was told I would have to get back in line behind 6 or 7 cars. If you want to find a sarcastic douche canoe who operates the window and majorly messes up the order, look no further. On 3/9/20 around 9:20 pm , we pull up to the drive thru speaker to order and had put in the order. To be clear, we had ordered four blizzards: two large harvest berry pie, one medium heath caramel brownie, and one medium choco brownie extreme. We were asked to repeat the last two blizzards of the order, which was repeated. Considering he didn't ask about the first two, we just assumed that he understood there would be TWO large harvest berry pie blizzards. Umm no, but stay turned to hear the rest. Anyway, we pull up to the window and were charged the full amount when the bogo for the 80th birthday was in full swing and still going on. As advertised, the deal was "buy one blizzard at full price, get one of equal or lesser value for 80 cents." Did we get one of them for the advertised amount? Of course not! Instead, he didn't know what we ordered so he was told, but responded with a very rude and sarcastic "bless your soul" followed by a window slam. Umm excuse me, but during the long line at that time with a lot of orders and seeing a ton of hot food being passed out that window, he should've been thanking us that all we wanted were the blizzards (I have experience there and the blizzards are the last thing they should've been complaining about. Oh yeah, none were tipped like they are supposed to be!! ) So anyway, it gets worse. Came here with a group of friends one night while visiting Eau Claire. They lost two stars for the service. We stood there for like 5-10 mins before we got served. My fiancé ordered a twist cone with chocolate sprinkles. They didn't have chocolate sprinkles which seemed weird but whatever. He got rainbow sprinkles instead. Now you would think that they would put the sprinkles on the ice cream because that's what DQ does. These people on the other hand, handed my fiancé his twist cone and the sprinkles in a separate cup. He was like "WTF? What am I supposed to do with this?"
