My husband and I came here together. He ordered a caramel canon ball blizzard and he loved it. I ordered a Chicken BLT Salad with Grilled Chicken. I'm correctly on a high fat diet so I need what I can get. Sadly when we got back to our destination, I realized my salad didn't have any of the bacon on it. That was very disappointing. Drive thru is weird. Menu board is way out yonder, and the drive thru window is a weird revolving thing so you never actually hand them anything so it seems to take longer as they spin it back and forth for payment, change, and then food and drinks. Ice cream and smoothies were delicious but it did seem to take a bit to get us in and out. Pulling back out onto the road can be a pain as the light is right there and the road is fairly busy. read more

Pros -High quality food and drinks -Nice, casual sit down fast food -Friendly staff -Dining places are usually neat -Upside-down Blizzard guarantee -Drive-thru window Cons -Sometimes slow service -Lines get long -Usually only one cashier The Dairy Queen off of Highway 77 in Fremont will make you want to come back to eat more food and slurp more drinks. When I went there with my family after a day of swimming, there wasn't a huge line. But other times, there was almost always a line. There's usually only one cashier, so that obviously slows down business a bit. There were plenty of clean places to sit, though. I always have the satisfaction of the worker flipping my Blizzard upside-down, and hold my breath as they do so, as fear of mess. Although, this has never happened to me. Dairy Queen offers decent looking and priced food that tastes as good as it advertises in their commercials. This casual restaurant will burst your tastebuds with their combinations of Blizzards, ice creams, and distinctive lunch and dinner menus. Dilly bars, bought for just over $1 are a quick snack to eat when craving ice cream and chocolate, while their juicy burgers are right around $5. These examples are great, but the service wasn't. Most of the time there have been lines and only one cashier working, as this might've caused a problem. Other times in drive-thrus it takes a little bit for the worker to even ask for our order. Usually they wouldn't double check to make sure everything was jotted down on their screen to make sure our meal was fully prepared and ready. These time consuming details would probably not be a good thing for you if you happen to be in a rush, or just want your food quickly. My overall rating I would give this Dairy Queen in Fremont would be 3 out of 5 stars. This is because it is family friendly, but therefore has longer lines and impatient parents and children. This DQ offers pretty nice quality food and the staff is friendly and sociable through any chaos. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a casual snack after a day of the Fremont fair or swimming, because it is comfortable and laid back. read more

I picked up a 90 year old past neighbor and took him to DQ for lunch. He and his wife use to live in Norfolk, Ne. which is where I am still living. We each ordered cheeseburger combos, our order #33 called, I went to get it. One order of fries, so I said we ordered combos and paid for combos, gal yells at cook we need another fry, "ok I will put one in. Here's the clincher, pretty sure the burgers were someone else mistake, the bun was not fresh, like reheated or something, yet both the burgers were cold, with a piece of cheese slapped on them and you guessed it not even melted one bit! The "one" order of fries served were done long before we got them, not hot, and very chewy, maybe yesterdays?? Then the other one came and they were hot! There was not one person working there out of 4-5 that I thought could be the manager, or I would have raised a fuss, right then and there! Now get this, My 90 year old fr9iend said some out of town guests took him there on the 4th of July weekend for burgers, same story, cold and not fresh! I said why didn't you tell me, we would not have come here! Now my husband and I travel to Omaha quite often and stop at the DQ in Valley, and I can honestly say we have never gotten a bad menu item, everything is steaming hot, be it burgers, chicken, fries, fish, etc. , cannot believe this experience and was so embarrassed!
