let me start by saying that I love to support our local businesses. Let me also say that businesses should also support their customers. This is not the case with the store. I ordered a birthday cake a for my son's birthday. I get a confirmation. Presumably from their computer system. But when I went to pick up the cake. First they have me wait about 20 minutes as they look for it. Then they come back and tell me that I must have the wrong store. I my confirmation. The store owner claims that it never got to their computer system. How could I get a confirmation then I ask. They don't know happen and I bought a pre-decorated cake. No offer for a discount. This is a convenient location and has plenty of parking Our group of 5 went inside and the place was pretty packed for Sunday night in the parking lot had just a few spaces left The staff seem to know what they were doing but perhaps a bit stressed as they were busy and ice cream only comes out of the machine so fast Each one of us that got the blizzard got the obligatory turn it upside down and show you it won't fall out move Does anyone know why they do that? I'm very disappointed with this store. The hours are on the door but they don't open until an hour later. This is the second time they messed up my pre ordered cake order. Both times they didn't fill the order. It's bad enough it happened the first time but again this year. This cake is very important as my son died and we are celebrating what would be his birthday and without a cake because the young workers could not get a hold of the owner and didn't know what to do. This location opened mid-June 2018. And this was the first chance I had to visit this location as it has been crazy busy since the first day. I have only been to Dairy Queen a few times in my life, so I am not able to compare what they did to other locations. What I can say is they did what I expected. They flipped the Blizzards upside down to show how thick they are. Everyone had a smile as they took my order and delivered the food to the table. This location should do well. It is located on a major state road and is visible from all directions. Be careful as you enter and exit from this location. There is a large pothole on the side road near the stop sign. read more

This review should be 0 stars. We went in to pick up a pre-ordered Father's Day cake. There were only 3 other customers also waiting to order. No one acknowledged that we were there. There were people cooking who could see us. There was one person delivering orders to tables, and another person supposed to be fulfilling orders. They all saw us and did not even bother to wait on us. We then decided to go through the drive through- also a joke. It took us over 25 minutes to wait in line behind 4 cars. After waiting that long, they messed up the cake order. I ordered a drumstick blizzard cake- they tried to give us a peanut butter cup cake- that is the only flavor that my husband doesn't like. This is so wrong. Management needs to be better- staff needs to be better. This is not acceptable. read more

This location is rather new to the Inverness scene. The store opened in an accessible area of town that appears to be the next big region for development. The store is consistently busy and it appears that this prevents the store from dedicating the appropriate amount of time to properly clean the store. I typically pick up the occasional mini blizzard from the drive-through with my wife, but one evening we decided to meet some friends out for ice cream. We went in and I immediately noticed that the floor was sticky. I went to the bathrooms and they were left dirty with a paper towel dispenser lacking paper towels. The dining room was also messy with various tables that required a staff member to wipe them down. The restaurant provided a consistent product across my entire party of four. We were all pleased with the evening but wished that the environment was better kept. read more

Shut this place down. I come to DQ for its ice cream cake and blizzards. I do not know if the owner/ manager wants to cut cost or if they run out of ingredient. There is NO choccolate crunch in the icecream cake. There is something like orio coolie crumbs instead. This totally ruins the taste of the cake . Totally unacceptable. Food is over priced and has zero flavor. Trash all over the ground outside and trash cans over flowing. The drain pipes on the outside of the building have mold and black slime growing in them, can only imagine what the kitchen looks like! The staff wasn't very friendly, paid $7.19 for a chicken finger basket and then was told I had to pay .53 more for gravy!$7.49 for the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, the tomato and the lettuce was like mush by the time out food came to the table! Over priced and ZERO FLAVOR! Ask if I could have a side of gravy and was told "you will have to pay more" not telling me how much more or anything. Went there last night. I had the best Blizzard I have had in Florida. Most Dairy Queens in the region are downright cheap with their ingredients. My Blizzard here was excellent. The only reason I did not give them five stars is that they do not accept prepaid orders on the Dairy Queen app. read more

I'm new to Inverness, today I happen to need a place to sit while my car was being worked on, DQ next door was perfect waiting spot I thought!!! Walked over, counter gal was cleaning but instantly greeted me with a smile, I sat down, she walked to my table to let me know it would b a couple more min they just dropped fries, even asked what was wrong with my car that it needed fixed, Walked away saying cook said best coney dog with everything on it he'd ever made, I laughed said he deserves a high five!!!! No this man deserves a raise !!! He made my DLX dog with flavor of every item and yet I could eat it without mess!!!!
