We have tried to be understanding because they're predominantly kids working there, but the epically fail in getting our order correct. The girls we've dealt with in the drive thru have all just been snotty, even irritated when we order pup cups that WE PAY FOR. My suggestion to the owner would be to vet your employees better and have them wear name tags because one female in particular has been obnoxious at least 3 times now. We want to support local, but they are truly failing the customers and especially for the prices charged for any item on the menu. read more

The parking lot is very, very hard to get out of the drive thru. You basically can only turn right, then you've got to be careful, because almost all of the time when you turn, your car goes into the other lane and you've got to pull out far enough to see traffic on the left on the other side of the building. Be careful. The food has gotten so expensive, you could go to a restaurant and get something better and for about the same price, however the other place probably isn't a fast food restaurant. I stopped going there after they got rid of the chocolate ice cream because they didn't have enough room for it. The service is hit and miss as you've got mostly teenagers working there in high school. Typically the inside is pretty clean, but it's really hard to get into the tiny bathroom. They can't get an order right. I get the same things almost every time I am there. I always ask them not to include something in my blizzards. I see the cashiers tyoe it in, but the LAST 4 TIMES IN A ROW they haven't bothered to read their tickets and I've thrown away my blizzards. I'm barely here once a week. I'm thinking once a month they can hire some kids who bother reading their tickets. Not fun throwing away money because they can't do their job correctly. read more

I'm not sure if it's the food or if it's the ice cream that made me sick, I'm not ordering from this location again. Service is, well, it's teenagers they aren't friendly when they want to be, and inside, it's never really clean. The floor has a sticky feeling to it, and ambiance lol.The location is not the easiest to get into or out of, I've ordered via doordash, ordered via app and ordered at the restaurant and either way I still get sick from this location no matter what I've ordered. Service was not good. Cashier was surprised to get a tip. I should have withheld my money. Asked to not have tomato on my burger because I'm allergic to raw tomatoes. Big slab of tomato on the burger. Order not made correctly. Strike 1 Table was very dirty and prior customers left their trash, so I cleaned it up so I'd have a clean table to eat on. Strike 2 Was handed my order and told to leave because the dinning area was now closed. No signs warning this and employee said and I quote" so if you could leave that'd be great, sorry". Strike 3 Sign on door said they close at 4pm. Ordered at 2:57 pm. Should have had plenty of time to eat. Ate standing up using my tailgate as a table. Watched as repeated customers, most of whom were elderly, were turned away because the door was locked and no employee bothered to explain the situation. I recommend any other establishment for food. I will never return to this location. And no, I do not want to talk with corporate privately. You have failed. read more

Classic DQ. Hard to go wrong with that. Service is ok. Sometimes they don't talk to you when you pull up to the drive through so after a several minute wait, you have to pound on the window to get their attention. Sometimes they just chuck your spoon in with the ice cream. Who does that? read more

Never been to a Dairy Queen before because they don't have them where I live but my parents said we had to try it while in Oregon. I was surprised at what a good experience it was. We came for the soft serve but we were also hungry for lunch so we got some burgers. The double cheese and flamethrower burgers were much better than similar fast food restaurants we visited on our trip. My brother also got a strawberry kiwi mist slush because he liked the color and it was probably the sweetest drink any of us has ever had. My brother said everything he ate for hours afterward tasted bad in comparison. I only had one sip of it and I could see what he meant. The soft serve I got was good. My mom has a habit of always asking the server about the food and it's always embarrassing for me, especially here because they girl working the register replied "I don't actually eat burgers." I could have told my mom that just by looking at her. Then my dad decided to say "oh yeah we don't really eat burgers much either" even though he had literally eaten a one the night before. Luckily we could all laugh about it afterwards. As to the ambience of the place I would also say it was pretty good. All of the tables were wiped down (a common problem that seems to be mentioned in other reviews) and there was great music too. Some Cage the Elephant and some of the Decemberists. Two of my favorite bands. Not sure why this DQ and the McDonalds across the street have such bad reviews so I thought Id leave a good one. Maybe people just have high expectations. read more

It's Dairy Queen. So it's nothing special to start with. The restaurant is typically dirty and on the gross side. I've seen far worse, but I've seen far better too. I am always hard pressed to find a table that isn't sticky. The food is OK. Really, just OK. I am not a fan of Dairy Queen in general, and try to avoid them, but end up stopping by here with my nephew periodically. He loves it here. Mostly because they have ice cream. What kid doesn't love ice cream? Lol. Employees are pretty average at best. There is nothing special. No one smiles or goes out of their way to be helpful. They stand at a counter, looking impatient, and stare at you until you order. They ask you about fries, putting a burger in a meal, ect. Nothing special, no being social or going out of their way to be helpful. The parking lot is small, and can be difficult to get in and out of. It's narrow, which is annoying when you're stuck trying to back out with a giant Ford F-350, with the double doors and extra long bed across from you. The drive-thru drops you right out onto the main road in Junction City, and you're forced to turn right, because you can't go across traffic from where it puts you out at. The traffic light is literally ten feet to the side of the drive-thru. I really wish it came out differently, so you could come out onto the side street and be able to use the traffic light. Traffic isn't always willing to let you out either. So that can really back up the drive-thru during busy times. It isn't a place I frequent, and don't plan to return any time soon. If I ever do, I know to stay away from the drive-thru. read more

We stopped into this DQ on Monday on the way to vacation. This is buy far the worst DQ we have ever stepped foot in. The staff seemed very disorganized, and came out to ask some what they had ordered. It took 20 minutes to get an A1 double stack, that had NO A1 SAUCE on it. The bathroom was disgusting, looked as if no attended it for a few hours. The restaurant was full of flys and trash on the floor. Best fast food in town, by far. Blizzards are always extremely delightful and worth the quick trip. Staff is always courteous and efficient. It's a "Pandemic 3 stars" When they get our order right (50% of the time) they get the full 5 stars from us. And of course we are terribly demanding. You see, we actually have the audacity to believe we will receive what we've ordered and paid for. I know, right? When they get it wrong... it's a "pumpkin pie blizzard" that consists of DQ's soft serve vanilla ice cream, something with a texture like sand, a dark chunk of wax that tastes like spiced compost, topped off with whipped cream and a teaspoon of nutmeg. Here's where the "Pandemic 3 stars" comes into play. I can only imagine how hard it must be to even stay open these days. So, in spite of our less than pleasant "pumpkin pie blizzard" experience they still get 3 stars instead of 1. But can someone please tell me why trying to order from DoorDash at Dairy Queen in Junction City is like playing Pin the tail on the donkey with a blindfold on in the middle of a blackout? DQ turns DoorDash off and on throughout the day like it's a light switch. It is way beyond frustrating for this Ice Cream Junkie, especially when I go to place our order and right in the middle of processing I get an error telling me that DQ is closed, when actually it's still open -for four more hours! But they've shut off DoorDash. Thirty minutes later DoorDash is ON. Another thirty minutes and guess what? DoorDash is off yet again. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Ok. I admit it. My son and his girl friend came over the other day and told me that a few members of her family had gotten food poison from this location last week, and this is not the first time this has happened. I hear many people complain about this location being dirty, and I would have to agree. All of the times I have gone that is how it has been. This particular Dairy Queen is always fast and has only messed up my order once in 3 years (we go there probably once every month or two). The employees are always nice. We just got back from this Dairy Queen. We ordered three blizzards. None of the blizzards were turned upside down as they are known to do, none of the three. I brought it to the attention of the person that took our order. She stated that they "were in a rush right now". Really? On a Sunday night at 8:00pm? There was one group of four, and one group of two seated in the whole place, and they already had their food. There was no one waiting at the counter, or waiting for food. Is that considered a "rush" at DQ on a Sunday night? After we ate our blizzards, I went to the counter for a free Dilly Bar for completing a survey from our last trip there. A different person helped me. I brought it to her attention reminding her that it says right on the menu "served upside down, or the next one is free". All she could say was "sorry about that". I don't know the name of the person that helped us with our order of three blizzards. She wasn't wearing a name tag. Neither was the person that helped me with the Dilly Bar. On both receipts, it says "Emma C" so are both of these employees named "Emma C"? I do know that the service this time around was the worst it has ever been in the year and a half we have been going there since moving to the area. I noticed here on YELP! that this location has only a 2 1/2 stars rating out of 5. Now we know why. There is a McDonald's right across the street.
