I went here with my American Mom on my birthday, July 15, and we bought a quart of Reese's Peanut Butter ice cream, which we took home and made an ice cream cake for me. The woman helping us find the ice cream I like was so sweet! Pun intended! Strangely enough, she was the one doing all the work that day, despite the fact that there was also a guy behind the counter that day. The ice cream tasted so amazing, especially in the middle of a Devil's food chocolate cake with whipped chocolate fudge frosting on top! I hope to come here again and again, as they have amazing ice creams in any flavors you like! Sure it's a bit spendy, but it's the quality that I've always come to love! You guys are the best! I have been a customer of Baskin Robbins for decades- since going with my Grandpa as a kid. I'm a very loyal customer .. until tonight. I ordered 3 of the 2 scoop cups. The scoops were so small they looked like they were 1/2 scoops. I got what amounted to a single scoop for a 2 scoop price (per item). $7.48 ($27. with DD TIP) is too much for 3 scoops of ice cream. Sadly, I'll be buying my ice cream at the grocery store from now on. I can't afford the return I get for the cost they're asking. It's ridiculous. read more

My five year old son and I decided to stop in to this store on River Road in Eugene to grab a quick treat. There was one person behind the counter, an older gentleman. There was one costumer before me trying to order two scoops of ice cream, but she was a native Spanish speaker and was struggling to get him to understand. I helped her get her things ordered and the guy seemed unwilling to even try and help her out. He just kept saying he could get by in Mexico because he knew "Dos cervezas and donde es un baño ". He was being super racist towards this woman who understood what he was saying and was just having a hard time remembering how to say other words in English. At one point he continued to say, "I don't know. I just know dos cervezas. Dos cervezas?" then he started laughing. She got very upset and started to tell him no cervezas and that she doesn't drink. Then she used her Google Translate to tell me she doesn't know what she did to upset the Lord, but she must have done something wrong. I told her she did nothing wrong. After she left I got one of our three ice creams we were grabbing. After the first was slowly scooped and I handed it to my child, he began telling me out of nowhere that it was "Her choice to come to Oregon, and she shouldn't be so upset when he can't figure out what she wants because she doesn't speak the language well." I scoffed at him and turned the other way. If my child would have not been already eating his ice cream we would have left immediately. I will be following up with the manager, because nobody should be that blatantly ignorant and hateful in any sort of public facing business. read more

I don't go to baskin Robbins often, because they are very expensive. My guy loves them though, so we stopped in for sundaes tonight. They were the same sundae, but different ice cream. You can clearly see in the photo that one was definitely much much smaller than the other. Sure, it's enough ice cream- usually when he makes me go I end up getting 2-3 portions off their sundaes. But that also helps me justify the $6 price tag of this sundae. The person who made my sundae was new, which I get, but the experienced employee never stepped in to give guidance and just left him on his own. She then made the second sundae to "train" him. Maybe- train him on the first one so he knows what he is doing? I thought she would try to fix the first one, or offer a discount since she seemed to know that the first one was not made to standards, but nope- full price. I was going to say something, but a group walked in behind us and they were already giving angry stares for the wait time. Dairy Queen is right up the street, and Dickie Yos isn't that far. This is one of our favorite ice cream places in town. We come here just for pistachio almond ice creams. Hubby n I take two scoops each all the time. But this July 31st 2017, I felt like I should never come back to this place. This day being "Celebrate 31" , we came here to load ourselves with pistachio almond scoops. Unfortunately the person who helped us [1691 Dalton] was so not experienced. He gave us such tiny scoops, he did not make an effort to scoop the ice cream from the container. We felt it was such a waste of money. I do not understand why aren't these people trained enough to keep the customers happy ? The old couple here must have earned so much name n fame with their service, but people like Mr. Dalton screw it up in few mins. So I am on this thing that sucks the soul out of a person and it's called a diet. I guess too much yelping has cause my waist line to become... well bigger. However, thank goodness for cheat days. This is my go to for the days I give a big middle finger to dieting and have a bit of pleasure in my life and fulfill my sweet tooth. The folks that were there were friendly and nice to talk to. I only have one thing I always get and that is a two scoop sundae with Pistachio and gold medal ribbon with extra marshmallow, nuts, whip cream and a cherry. Really sad that I have ordered many many times from this store and I was treated like a thief when I went to pick up our mothers day cake. I did what I have always done and grabbed my cake out of the front lobby freezer and asked what they needed from me and they were snotty and rude and acted like I was walking out the door with it (yes I had pre-paid). I wrote to the corporate office and was told that I would receive a call from the store in 48 hours. 4 days later, nothing so I reached out again and was told sorry for that they would get in touch with the store again. 3 weeks later and I finally got a half ass call saying sorry, that was it not what can we do to improve this so it doesn't happen to anyone else which is what I was hoping for, just sorry. I said why did it take 3 weeks for you to respond? She said well I don't check my email every day. How could you not give their ice cream a top rating? I mean come on!! Sure some times I have come in and the dining area has been a little sticky on the table tops from kids, but that seems like it's on busy days when the place is swamped! I mean really, think about it hot days equals long packed lines, and it would make it hard for them to get to the lobby. Besides, in Eugene a lot of places you bus your own tables these days anyways. When I am sick I have my guy come in and he gets me a scoop, and a cone on the side. I feel like a kid again because it reminds me of the clown cones they have there. My parents used to get them for me as a kid. I love their mud pies! Which is weird for me considering I like fruity things better than chocolate. Good thing they don't have strawberry shortcake, or I would really be in trouble!...I'm sure they have it in an ice cream flavor. So I actually might be. This is our family's go to for ice cream! With eight kids, we especially appreciate their weekly Tuesday night special! I've loved Baskin-Robbins since I was a kid. I am never, ever disappointed by my selection. The challenge is limiting myself to one or two scoops! My summertime favorite is Daiquiri Ice - a flavor that reminds me of my childhood - and, the rest of the year, it's either Chocolate Chip and Mint Chocolate Chip or two scoops of Chocolate Peanut Butter! The Nutty Coconut and Oregon Blackberry also cannot be beat. The chocolate chips on the ice creams really are chips, not chunks or morsels, and there are tons of them. Not only is the flavor good, but the chocolate crunch is very pleasing. The Chocolate Peanut Butter really is the ONLY CPB to me. All of BR's chocolate ice creams have a wonderful, fudgy texture, and thus has the added bonus of being loaded with wonderful swirls of sweet/salty peanut butter. The bigger the chunks, the luckier you are! Finally, the Oregon Blackberry is new to me, and I'm hooked. Not too sweet, not too tart, this ice cream really catches the flavor of FRESH Oregon blackberries. The creamy Blackberry ice cream itself is nicely studded with bits of the berries. I knew the original owner of this particular store and you couldn't have met a nicer guy. The current owners are also friendly and professional and, if you make the first move, have great senses of humor. Additionally, when I was in the "corporate world" I hired them to cater two big ice cream socials. They did an excellent job and I'd recommend them to anyone anytime! "31 Flavors" manages to smell EXACTLY as I remember as a little kid in the 80's. They still have the pink sample spoons, which I used to hoard because they are the perfect kid size and they are girly. Daiquiri Ice was my summer favorite in boiling Eastern Washington and when I ordered a pint the other night, to my delight it tastes just as tart and sweet and boozy as ever. read more

I am a huge ice cream lover... I rarely come to bask in Robbins just because it's a chain place. It had probably been 8+ years since I had been here. Anyways.. the flavors were very unexciting. All were the same except little differences. And no cookie dough??? No fruit/berry cheesecake ?? I didn't even know what to get because nothing looked/sounded good. I'm not sure if the flavors are always the same or if they change them up, but I probably will not be back. My husband had the same problem. Zero stars (I had to put one in to get the review to work) Spent 20 minutes with the employee ordering 2 cakes for my son's 5th birthday. Set the time to pick them up and on the day of his party no one bothers to open up the store. Apparently the opening employee was a no call/no show. When the manager finally called me 5 hours after I was scheduled to pick the cakes up, he basically told me "yeah, sorry but what can I do about it?" No offer to compensate me for the fact that my kid's party was a complete cluster@:$& due to the fact that I had to scramble at the last minute for a cake. When it comes to going to Baskin Robin's for a treat, I always get the same thing: a medium pistachio- almond milkshake. This hasn't changed in many years. Partly because I don't eat a lot of ice cream, but mostly because I only have a craving for this milkshake once every year or so. Yesterday's cluster has cost them a customer. I walk into the empty shop and immediately order my drink. As my "helper" was making a mess everywhere, I noticed that my milkshake was 100% not the color it should be. It should be bright green and not mud brown. I asked him twice while he was making it to stop and confirm my order with me to no avail. Only after he's done and hands me something he called a "pistachio almond mocha blast", do I get an "oh my bad". So he goes back to remake my order right as a crowd of fifteen or so people come in. At this point, all I really want to do is pay for my order so I can stand out of these people's way. But no. I have to stand at the front as I watch my "helper" make a mess and have to transfer my now completely liquified soup into a cup. In the end I had pistachio-almond soup in a cup, twenty wasted minutes, and a crowd of people giving the "death stare" for holding them up. Not returning. read more

You know what to expect when you get ice cream here. It's reliable, charmingly neon, and the ice cream is...ice creamy. But I made the mistake of ordering banana something at Fifth Street and my taste buds were assaulted! It was called banana cream ice cream and it was the bomb... and I don't mean good. You could not taste anything but sugar and too much of it, overpowering Somebody didn't load something on the truck bound for Eugene from where ever Handle's came from! Excellent service, friendly staff and quality deserts. Last week I ordered an ice cream cake for a work celebration and the person taking the order walked me through the options as I had not ordered from them before. Upon getting there to pick up the cake I was helped quickly and then given directions on how to navigate cutting and serving the cake. The cake was decorated perfectly and was a huge hit with the employees. While I was there I saw another customer ordering an ice cream sandwich so today in the 90+ degree heat I stopped in to try one for myself. I inquired about the ice cream sandwich at the counter and was told bu a young employee named Emma that I could choose from multiple types of cookies that were on display and then could choose a single or a double and whatever flavor of ice cream I wanted. The cookies could also be warmed but as I was taking it home for later I declined. I went with chocolate chunk cookies and chocolate peanut butter ice cream. What a treat indeed, I will most certainly be back for another round and maybe I'll stay and eat it there and have the cookies warmed up... I went in at 9pm and there were three associates working. Only one of them had put any effort into help customers, while the girl walked around pretending to clean, and glared at me when I pointed it out to my friend. She knew she was being lazy and chose to do nothing to help others. Get out if you don't want to work then lose the job. The other associate was mentally incapable and I mean this in no way to be rude but that's putting it nicely. I continued to be nice and waited for my banana split to be made, and he was trying to be nice but couldn't understand anything. To top it off after waiting around for 25 mins my ice cream was melted before I even got out the door because it took so long to be made. I was already mad at that point. Then I got home and it's leaked all over the bag and in the car. Needless to say is there's one associate here who needs a raise and the other two should not be on the job. If you are incapable of understanding English and making ice cream you shouldn't be working. As well as the girl who was to lazy to even take an order. Needless to say is I'm pissed and want a refund or a new ice cream made. read more
