I came in here with my husband yesterday. We've passed by this place multiple times and it was never a good time to stop in. We finally made time to check it out. We walked in and were immediately greeted. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were not sure what we wanted, so the cashier gave us time to browse the menu. She stayed close though, so that if we did have questions we could ask, and I appreciated that. We ordered the classic burger with extra pickles, the bourbon bacon burger, and cheese curds. Everything arrived and it was delicious. Exactly as ordered. The restaurant is big and spacious. It was clean, comfortable, and a welcoming space. Would I return? It's a bit of a toss up on that one. Mostly because it's out of the way for me to get to. But, we have family moving to the area, so it may be that we find ourselves nearby more often. Stay far away from this entire company. I was told my complaint would be forwarded to the specific store and I'd get a response. That never happened. I sent a follow up email to request any type of response from anyone and was completely ignored. This restaurant messed up our order, left out items, falsely advertising items on their menu, and can't own up enough to even a decent email. Disgusting old, stale, soggy food. You're better off going to Killer Burger for a delicious burger, or even McDonald's for a fraction of what you'd pay here. First time coming in, the place was pretty busy so we took that as a good sign, but unfortunately it didn't work out for us. We ordered a red velvet shake which was the best thing in our order, but it was missing the cake topper that is advertised in the description. We also got a side of onion rings and fried pickles. Both seemed under done and the onion rings felt stale. We ordered ranch for both sides but only received 1. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with grilled onions. The lettuce on my sandwich was extremely soggy, wilted and looked old. The grilled onions were missing and the chicken was VERY thin. We also got a cheeesy burger which was OK, and a classic burger that was just mid. For $50+ before tip, I expected much better. We, unfortunately, will not be returning. read more

Always a great choice for a good fresh juicy burger. I had the cheeeesy burger with grilled onions. Delicious and so fresh. Truly tastes like a gourmet grilled cheese with whatever types of cheese they use. Truly my favorite. Grilled onions added were the perfect balance. Had the chili tots with it. Meh.... That wasn't very good. The chili was a bit sweet and didn't really go with the tots due to the sweet flavor. But overall, excellent burger and I would come here again and again! read more

This was my first time coming to Wayback Burgers. It did not disappoint, I got the classic burger with everything on it. The only thing that I would do next time is leave off the onions and mustard other than that everything tasted fresh. The service was excellent and very helpful. I will keep it simple. Just a truly delicious lunch. Fresh ingredients and a perfect burger. The fries were crispy, the onion rings crispy and flavorful. Mom has a strawberry milkshake, it took her back to her childhood. (She's hard to impress) now she can't wait to go back. Staff greeted us on entering and were cheerful and attentive. The food was presented perfect. My only thought for improvement would be to add wrapping the burgers a bit. They are big, juicy and no knives are presented to cut them in half. I got the vegetarian burger with friend and my he ordered a burger with tots. The cashier was very friendly and professional. The restaurant was clean and hospitable. He liked his burger but not too fond of his tots. I liked my burger, but not too keen on the fries as they were super salty. The gal working was so high energy and nice. I was on a road trip and craving burgers once we saw them so we stopped in on our way out of town. I got a bacon cheese burger with fries and my friend got the double bacon cheese burger meal too. We both devoured them. Reminded us of Smash Burger here in AZ. I'd definitely go back to this location if I were in the area. The milkshakes looked super good. I was just in a hurry and spaced. It looked clean inside and well maintained. My first time here, and I brought my elderly mother with me. I ordered the A-1 burger with f4ies and a chocolate shake. Mom had the garden burger with fries and drink. I didn't care for the crispy onions on the burger or that it didn't come with Lettuce and tomatoes, however Zack was nice and hooked me up with the garnish. I really, really love Wayback! What awesome food. The burgers are juicy and the Frys are hot. The restaurant seems fairly clean. The food is really really good. Ordered the Buffalo chicken burger (to die for) and Mac N cheese bites, my wife the classic and Frys. Not gonna harp to much, but Frys came on my plate and Mac N cheese on hers, not a huge deal for us, but sure someone would throw a fit about that. My only disappointment was that Mac N cheese bites, 6 pieces. Guess disappointment is a strong word. Shocked... Wasn't expecting so few. Well I was craving a hotdog but didn't want to drive to far and saw that way back serves it here. I've been here before and wasnt impressed with the burgers but thought I would give it another try. I was pleasantly surprised. The bun itself was soft and fluffy. The grilled onions really helped the taste. The bacon added was very little and flimsy. Couldn't taste that to much but overall I was happy with what I got. I am grading this a 3 star only because I wouldn't recommend the burgers but if you had to grab a hot dog this place will do. read more

I ordered a Rodeo Burger with everything, service was great but they gave me the wrong burger, a double cheeseburger with just vegetables and cheese when I arrived back home. I am assuming that they put another customer's order in my bag. I was disappointed and just ate because it wasn't worth going back and waiting for 10-15 mins for one burger. The burger tasted so plain and bland, they didn't even put any sauce like ketchup and I can't even taste any seasoning.. (reminded me of killer burger because of their plain and bland burger.) Not worth the trip!! I should have trusted the Yelp reviews. The food was VERY average yet pretty pricey. It was $6-$7 for just the burger and it tasted like a drive through fast food McDonald's burger. We paid $4 for a side of fries and onion rings and we got a small handful of each. 4 onion rings to be exact! The service was pretty average too. I Would not recommend this place. The "classic" burger was pretty damn good! I ordered it as-is, off of the menu... but I expected it to be more sinful, if you know what I mean? Just downright greasy and whatever? Turns out, it was VERY fresh and current; all natural, taste buds-galore! Super DELICIOUS! Slightly drier than expected, (that's just me), but the "sautéed- chopped onions" DID bring a different player, to the usual burger-house -- very nice!!!! Something you won't get ANYWHERE ELSE! Had I written this review when they first opened I would probably would be leaving a terrible review with a really low star status. I didn't understand why anyone liked this place, I hated my burgers I tried, I didn't even care for the chicken strips, or the sauces. What did I not like about the burger? I do not remember which one in particular that I ordered, but what I can tell you is this. I am not a fan of putting mustard on a burger. Now don't get me wrong I do like my mustard's, but just not on a burger. The sauce or something was really mustardy, and that was a real turn off. I refrained from a review. The chicken strips themselves were okay. I can't remember which sauce it was I didn't like. Probably a honey mustard. I am very picky about them. Fast forward to now, and why the change of heart, and why the 4 stars. Since early spring, or really since Covid hit I have gotten take out from here several times. I found a burger I really like from here, and also really like their onion rings. I know. Sound like an oxymoron to hate onions, but eat onion rings. Truth behind that is I can't have raw onions, but only cooked. The burger I do like is the rodeo single patty for me. It has a really good bbq sauce on it, with an onion ring. They also have really good milk shakes, that I have not ordered in a long while, I am trying to be a good girl. I am glad I decided to retry this place, and also glad I didn't write a horrific review to begin with, and am glad I stuck with my gut on this. read more
