Today, I wanted ice cream and i wanted a banana split. I know I would've been better of going to Chick-fil-A or a higher end ice cream store, but Chick-fil-A doesn't have banana splits and the others I thought were too high. Sadly, it's that kind of thinking that leads to my mistakes. This isn't the eighties or even the nineties,but I occasionally forget this hard fact. When I walked in, the first lady begrudgingly greeted and let me know some one else would wait on me. I fought back the urge to go somewhere else. The next lady was nice. I ordered the banana split and she looked like she was training another lady. A few minutes later, I was informed that they were out of strawberries, then she said that had them, she would get them off the truck. During all of this, she never offered to make another selection and unbeknownst to me, my ice-cream was in the boat melting! After a while, I guess she gave up on the strawberries and told me she didn't want my ice cream to melt. Sadly, that had already started. Dairy Queen has the best ice cream. But sadly, the service is always mediocre to horrible. The ice-cream isn't worth the crap you will have to go through to get it. read more

Each time I come here I am almost always let down by the service. I ordered a Sunday to go and for some reason it took 10 minutes standing there and I never received it. There was one guy in the attached video making the ice cream and he had zero drive or effort. You can tell he hates his job. After waiting 10 minutes I asked the lady who took my order if she could check on it. She ended up making the order since he never did and I could clearly see my order on the screen waiting to be made. Again, he just had zero interest in anything. They were supposed to put sprinkles on the ice cream and they didn't. When I reminded her, she poured them into a little cup and handed me that. It feels like this location is closing down and that's why nobody cares. Shirts are untucked and worn out with holes. Again, nobody cares and there is zero accountability. This restaurant is dirty and is consistently out of things that are the big promotion on the menu. The staff is not trained to do anything from what I can tell and they have gotten down right rude. Yesterday I was there with my daughter (She insisted) and we stood there for 10 minutes without getting even acknowledged. The employees were standing 10 feet from us in plain view and would not acknowledge us even when we spoke to them 3 times. Went to Dairy Queen (Northport, AL) today for lunch. Went thru Drive Thru. Tried to order Unsweet Tea; they do not offer! Order #1 Bac/Chz DBL Combo, Reg Fry, Tea. $10.77 (Way too expensive for this). I personally witness Kitchen staff wearing regular t-shirts (No Aprons), No Hair Nets while preparing food. Actually saw them make my burger and then put it into Microwave, pull it out and add fresh tomatoes. Burger was horrible, fries were actually good. Tea was horrible. tried to fillout DQFANFEEDBACK.COM on their receipt, but apparently they do not want customers feed backs. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

During my wife's recent hospitalization, the main craving she had was an Oreo Blizzard. Over the course of a week and a half I bet I bought her 7 Blizzards. I also got myself a Backyard BBQ, a double stack, and a Flamethrower burger on different visits. Also, some pretzel sticks. This was done all in the drive through. The staff was always courteous. The food was always as good as advertised. It was extremely satisfying to be able to get her something she enjoyed. Initial order was for chicken strips with fries, flamethrower burger meal with no tomato and a sweet tea no ice, a 2 for $5 of pretzels and a plain cheeseburger, and two regular cheese curds. The woman taking the order did not repeat or confirm items, and was kind of rude talking over me while I was trying to order (ie asking the drink while Im trying to say the drink). The young man at the window was very nice and pleasant. We were asked to pull around where we waited about 5 minutes before going inside to check the status. We were missing the fries for the burger meal, the pretzels, and clearly were rung up for cheese burgers instead of cheese curds. We went in to ask for the missing items and try to get the order corrected. The same young man was helpful, apologetic, and nice. He went to get his manager who would not step around, she threw the pretzels up saying she got them, so she obviously knew she was missing them. I tried to say we were missing the cheese curds and were rung up for burgers instead and she, instead of walking up and talking like a normal, professional person, stood at her station and yelled we didn't get charged for cheese curds. I tried repeating I understand we weren't charged, we didn't order these burgers and I would like to get it corrected. She continued to stand there and yell that we ordered cheese burgers not cheese curds. Not correct, but ok. Still missing the fries and I ordered cheese curds. Got rung up for another order of fries (still never got the first one I paid for) and an order of cheese curds. Eventually received two cheese curds and begrudgingly the fries, but overall an awful experience. I wouldn't have been annoyed if the manager wasn't so unprofessional, combative, and disrespectful on what was her mistake any way. I didn't even complain about the fact that my tea was old and had ice, i didnt get a straw or napkins, or the fact that the two burgers WE DID order were made incorrectly. Such a rude establishment. Last night, my friend and I went in around 9:25(they close at 10 on sundays) and the rude worker informed us they only had burgers. If we had shown up immediately before closing we would have been more understanding, but we were there over a half hour before. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Was in the middle of ordering my food when I was ignored. Finally got the employees attention and was told to pull up to the window because he couldn't hear.
