I love this Dairy Queen! I get the sauced and tossed BBQ chicken strip basket, 100% recommend. They make it super saucy and fresh. But that's not my favorite part of this particular Dairy Queen, the staff and service is top quality. Every time I have gone in there I have always felt welcome, appreciated, and like I could take my time, if there was ever something wrong with my meal, they have always been so can-do to fix it and make me happy, these people really don't get paid enough. I have had full conversations in that drive thru with the worker because I was the only one in line, the absolute nicest people. This is mainly for the manager or owner. My son and I ordered chicken baskets. One of the staff brought our drinks to the table almost immediately. We waited at the table for 35 minutes watching other people order and get their food. Finally, we went to the counter to check. They said our order was cooking. I over-heard one of the staff say to another, "This is the order I told you twice about." My son and I decided to go, and I asked for my money back--saying that we had two drinks that came with the meal. The person at the counter took several more minutes trying to get my refund minus the price of the drinks. Most restaurants that fail as badly will usually comp. the drinks. So, manager, I hope it was worth the couple of bucks you charged me for the drinks to our botched meal rather than the money I would have kept spending at your poorly rated restaurant. PS. the last three times i have visited past 10pm. although it is late, all three times I have waited an excessive amount of time. I waited 20 minutes to go through a drive through with nobody in front of me and nobody in the store. I sat there and said "Hello?...Hello?" with the response (eventually) being "what". I waited 40 minutes for an order of cheese curds and a shake with only one car in front of me. However, It seems like the workers were stressed over (maybe) something being broken inside. I need everyone to know that I literally redownloaded yelp after not using it for like 3 years just to leave this review. The food here is wonderful, I highly recommend the cheeseburger. It tastes like what you WANT the cheeseburger from the-place-who-shall-not-be-named-with-the-golden-arches to taste like. That being said, the best part of this Dairy Queen is undoubtedly the people. I usually just go through the drive thru, but even then everyone is SO kind, friendly and funny. There's been so many times that I'm having the absolute WORST day and I pull in to Dairy Queen because I want to eat my feelings in soft serve, and I leave there with a huge smile on my face because of the people. They hit a new low last night. Ordered 3 Blizzards at 6:50. They were a bit busy so didn't mind waiting. After 20 minutes a manager asked if I had been helped. I am the only person in the lobby at this point. I said yes and then five minutes later the girl who had taken my order asked if I was ready to order. The manager said somehow my order had been bumped. My order was the only one on their board for at least 10 minutes at that point. Another 15 minutes went by before I actually had my food. Grill and chill? More like grill and SPILL! It was my FIRST EVER VISIT to a DQ and I ordered 2 blizzards to go. Within 30 seconds of walking out of the store and into my car in the parking lot, BOTH blizzards were melted! Probably the worse Dairy Queen I've been to. Only thing that redeems it, is that they normally make the blizzards really good. What gets me is the incompetence of the employees. When we had the 7 meal deal coupons they didn't understand it and overcharged us. The inside also is just very tacky with the wallpaper coming off the walls. Hot eats and cool treats! On the far side of Pullman unfortunately but the bus system has nearby stops. Drive through and a dedicated parking lot with about fifteen spaces. Inside of the restaurant isn't huge but will fit probably sixty people total. Bathrooms are clean and the staff are generally helpful. Burgers, chicken, fries, hot dogs, cake, ice cream, and smoothies to eat. Nothing you haven't seen before but as far as ice cream goes in Pullman this is it. You could get ice cream at Safeway or Dissmore's. Get ice cream from Rite Aid or even McDonalds but that's what Dairy Queen is known for! This is a Dairy Queen and Orange Julius combination so that could be a plus in your book? Food is relatively fast and your orders are accurate. Food is great!!! Business hours have changed to 9pm despite what yelp & website state. So, if your craving a burger or promised young teens cones...BEWARE. They shut the Grill down at 9pm. As someone that has a nut allergy, having to inquire about ingredients is a struggle. After inquiring about their new item called, Animal Cookie Blizzard, and if it had any nut ingredient in it. Not only did they ask for specifics but also affirmed they were looking into the product to make sure. After them realizing it did, they informed me if I had a substitute item that I wanted to order. The woman took our order, wrote my name down, and set it in line next to another order. 20 minutes later, we had only gotten a Blizzard and a slushie thing (whatever those are called), and NO FOOD. I went up to the counter to ask on the status, where I could clearly see the two orders of chicken strips for the kids and at least one of our burgers under the warmer, but the last burger was apparently not ready yet. They should have brought the food that WAS ready to us and said, 'We'll get the last part out to you ASAP.' But no. It just sat there, getting cold (those warming lights don't actually keep things to temp for long). Just then, the last burger was ready, and she handed me the tray with apologies. I opened up my burger and, no surprise, it was barely warm--no way that was 135 degrees. The cheese had re-congealed. There were now about 10 people waiting in line, so there was no way I was going to wait another 20 minutes for a fresh burger. Went to the drive through to get a mini blizzard (which is stupid expensive) and when I got to the window I noticed 5 employees not wearing gloves. one also had really long painted nails which in the food industry is also a big no.
