Saturday afternoon; July 19 there was a child operating the register. He looked to be about 11 or 12 years old. I ordered an ice cream sundae . He took my money. I went and sat down. Two other people came in after me . Then my friend arrived and ordered a milkshake and a corn dog The other couple got their food Eventually, my friend did get her corn dog. But no milkshake. The corn dog was burnt , she went back to the register and talked to an adult. She asked for her money back on the corn dog . She got the money back and was still waiting for the milkshake . Another adult came out to see what was going on. My friend told the adult that she did not get her milkshake. We watched as the child made the milkshake. He kept having to ask questions on how to make it. The adult was giving him a step-by-step directions. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for my ice cream sundae Pretty soon another adult came out to ask me what I needed I repeated that I needed my ice cream sundae This time the adult asked what flavor I said what do you mean what flavor I thought it come with all the topping (I envisioned it in a boat shaped bowl or a round bowl. ) But he told me that it was only one flavor So I picked pineapple And the adult finally made my pineapple sundae in a cup. Not a bowl like most Sundays are made. And he apologies for the humongous delay. So my friend drank her chocolate milkshake. I ate my sundae. They tasted OK I left out the part where I had to look at five different tables before I found a clean one to sit at. read more

I ordered two burgers for $5 and they gave them to me freezing cold. So I took them back up to the front and asked for new ones. And this very nice young girl brought me two more cold burgers and told me that the manager said that next time don't wait 10 minutes before you bring the burgers up if there's something wrong with them. I was sitting at the table for maybe 2 minutes before I took a bite and realized it was cold. I then went to the ask for the manager to let her know that it seemed like she just gave me the same two burgers back and she proceeded to argue with me and dig in the trash to prove to me. She threw my burgers away and never washed her hands and continued to work. The manager shouldn't send the co-workers at the front to do her dirty work and be rude to customers. I would rather chew my own arm off if zips and rathdrum was the last place to get food on earth. Beware! read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. I don't even live here, but I came to Radthrum specifically because the Zips website said this location was open until 10:00. At 9:30, the young man working the drive through happily told me the fryer was being "filtered" and asked me to order something that didn't involve the fryer. Instead of playing his game of "guess what's not fried," I left. Super disappointed. If you're going to close at 9:30 just say that, and I won't come all the way to Radthrum for literally nothing. Again, zero stars. Cannot emphasize this enough. I used to work in fast food. This would have gotten me fired. Hope he has the same outcome. read more

I can into this zips today for a burger and some onion rings and I saw the so called "manager" screaming at a customers she was definitely drunk maybe tweaking she had a face tattoo on the side of her face. The store workers were complete jerks! Left us in the drive through for 10 minutes, then told us it was closed. This was at 7:00pm when they close at 8:00pm. As we drove off angry, the store clerk came out the doors and flipped us off!!!! Completely unprofessional!!!! read more

Just went there and was placing order on kiosk and all you could hear were the two teen girls prepping food having a loud conversation with every other word being the f word. I had my child with me which they saw. Not to mention the girl was picking through the onions with her long fake nails. We decided to cancel our order and left. Great burgers! Slow and inattentive service! My daughter and I frequent this location as it is close to home. We always order and share the same thing off the menu, a double bacon cheese burger and fries. Personally, I've never been inside this location. I'm purely a drive-thru patron and am usually ordering around 6pm. On average I wait 10 minutes in their drive-thru. I have waited up to 15 minutes if there are cars ahead of me. Normally I don't care if I have to wait, at least they're making my food fresh! And it's always amazing! My only problem is that the service received from the teenagers that are left to run the place has a lot to be desired. I can't remember the last time the kid even smiled at me, or let me know the order would take a minute, or apologize for the wait. Not even a hello or thank you! Simple courtesies go a long way. 3 stars for poor service. read more

Last week I went through the drive thru and when I got to the window I glanced over at the girl fixing my food and she dropped my bag of onion rings on the floor. She looked out at me and layed them on the counter after picking them up from the floor and then when she thought I didn't see her continued to put them in the bag with the rest of my food.The guy got my food and handed it out the window to me and I ask him," You really aren't going to expect me pay for that after she dropped my onion rings in the floor and picked them up and put them in the bag? He turned and ask her if that's what she did and I didn't hear her answer but I told them I was calling corporate.I will never eat there again.And no hair nets either. read more

Zip's is a small chain restaurant in the greater Spokane area that I grew up with. It's a rare chance for me to come here, and I made sure to make it happen on my last visit to my hometown. The entire family piled out of the van, famished after a weekend of camping in the backwoods of the northwest, and our return to civilization couldn't have been more enjoyable. Some of my family went with the Belly Buster, a signature burger, others opted for the battered fish filets, and we all shared a couple buckets of their classic crinkle cut fries.. The burgers were tasty and juicy, and the fish (halibut) was cooked to perfection - hot and crisp on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. But perhaps my favorite part of the meal was the tartar sauce. Creamy, tangy, slighty peppery, I couldn't help but dip my finger in for a taste (or two or three) while waiting for the food to arrive! Twenty or so years since my first visit and Zip's is still a favorite, I can't wait for my next visit! read more

If I could do negative, starts I would. I make one simple change to my burgers (mustard only), and 8/10 times it comes with everything on it. I have some allergens (hence the changes) and always peel the bun off since I can't have it but they refuse to make it without the bun. Even with 2 cars in the drive up and an empty lobby, you're guaranteed to have a minimum 45 min wait time. Today I stopped for my husband...the girl at the drive up took my card then 5 minutes later tried to charge me again for the same order. The order I received was entirely different from what I asked for and when I took it back, there was no one at the counter so I had to wait for someone. No one in the lobby but there was a few cars at the drive up. I was told I ordered wrong, even though the burger was nowhere near what I ordered and when I received the right order, it was tossed on the counter with a "Here you go" and she walked away. I left feeling ashamed for trying to correct my order. read more

I'm not a person to do reviews, ever. But, honestly, I'm digusted. Rathdrum Zips used to be the best dang one around, period. Few years ago it progressively got worse and worse leading me to here, pissed. At what point did a large tot become 14 tots in a giant empty bag? When did it become ok to serve unfinished burgers (raw or missing extras like bacon/etc.) smashed board flat? And the drive thru? Queue the Irishman on Netflix and by the time that long ass movie is over you may have budged an inch. I swear to anyone reading this, I cannot go there without SoMeThInG being a slap to the face. The amount of care put into the food and service nowadays is borderline the amount of respect shown to a skunk in a chicken coop. I've tried so many times to look past the flaws because Zips is my favorite fast food joint, but I feel like I waste my money nowadays at the one in Rathdrum because it truly is never a pleasant experience anymore. I found 2 bugs froze on ice in my soda. And I also got other food items mixed in with my order. And very bad service. And really slow.

We had previously had a miserable experience at the Ritzville Zips. I gave them a well deserved one star review. On the other hand, we have stopped several times at the Rathrum franchise. Without exception, the experience has been positive--great service, good food, and very pleasant staff. For the Rathrum Zips, it is a well earned five stars. read more
