I got the sourdough club and the sandwich had two things missing from it and very old and gross lettuce. The lady working was also not the nicest. Sandwich did come out a little faster than usual though. Not happy with the sandwich, it's usually my favorite but they did not make it right this time. Well went back and still the slowest service around. I watched 24 cars in the McDonald's drive through next door get their food before I did. Subway, Jimmy John's, etc. are similar establishments and they are so much faster than this place. The SF Sourdough on Lancaster is way faster too. Very poor customer service. Talking to one another while we were ordering, did not have a lot of the ingredients for a popular sandwich. When I asked for a bread bowl with the soup, I was given styrofoam bowl with room-temp soup and cold bread. My boyfriend asked for light lettuce and pepper jack cheese, was given lettuce and Swiss cheese. Super displeased. While we were eating, we could hear them in the back talking loudly and swearing to one another. This is a tough one. The sandwiches were tasty. I had a Sourdough Club. But the place itself was a mess. We walked in and there was some problem and they couldn't do orders from the front cashier position, so the guy asked us to get in the drive-thru line. Weird, but ok. Life happens. But that line took... forever. Nearly 30 minutes later we finally got up to order and it took them nearly ten minutes to make two sandwiches. We took them home only to see they had messed up my wife's half of the order. When combined with other reviews, I'll pass. I hit up the one at 95 and Lancaster and they hustle. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in line, plus inside is really nice and clean. Huge difference between this one and the Highway 41 version. Skip the 41 location and stop at the 95/Lancaster spot. read more

I showed up 45 minutes before close and they had already shut the kitchen down and informed us that there's was no soup and we could pick from pastrami or corned beef . Had the #12 tuna. Description claimed it would be "piled high" However, it was a very thin layer of tuna [delicious, mind you] with two tomatoes and a scarce amount of onions. Cant charge over 9 dollars for JUST A sandwich [no drink no chips] and expect to get good reviews or repeat customers.Especially when you're located that close to a McDonald's. We went to the Rathdrum location tonight and although there were only 2 girls working, juggling the walk-in, drive thru and online orders, they both remained professional and friendly even though you could tell they were busy. Great job to those girls! We need more kids like them. read more

we got our food to go and once we got our order our rueben sandwiches there was hardly any meat, no sauerkraut, and it was not even warmed. we also found a couple hairs in our sandwiches as well. we were here last week and the food was perfectly fine. i'm not sure if they switched the people, but who ever made the sandwiches did a very lousy job. we sat down and none of the tables were clean. we had to wipe down a couple tables for our big group as well. this was definitely not a great experience. read more

I ordered two sandwichesv thru door dash pick up. It told me 20 minutes. Then it went up to 37. I waited 35 and no update on the tracker, so I drove over. I asked about my sandwiches because it had been nearly an hour, and he said well, there's other people in the world. This was not acceptable and was very rude. This is not the first bad experience here but it WILL be the last: not only the service but after having almost an hour to make a sandwich you'd think they could get it right; the "hot pastrami with coleslaw" ended up unheated and a few strings of lettuce instead of coleslaw. It was awful. Tried to post 4 times a review (nope, wouldn't go thru) tried the Contact Us link on their website (also four times) and got the same error. Had the soup and sandwich Friday. Great bread. Real sourdough. Compared to The Local Deli up the road, bread does make a difference. Not too hot on soup (loaded potato) which had too much cheese (personal preference). Sandwich however full of flavor, mostly due to bread. Real sourdough taste. Hands down winner against The Local Deli bread. If I want fresh deli sandwich in future, it will be here. read more

I've lived in Rathdrum my whole life so when this place was put in it was a hot spot, sandwiches were amazing, good amount of meat, always had a long wait, but so worth it. They had such good sandwiches on our birthdays our mom would take us any place we wanted for lunch and we would always choose here. Now......it's a joke. I wasn't going to write a review, but today was the last nail for me especially with what my sister told me that happened to her last week. Went through the drive through, long wait as always, don't mind. Order a #20 w/ tomato, lettuce, cheese, mustard, and mayo. Make it a combo w/ Pepsi lite ice, and there loaded baked potato soup. Dad gets an Italian w/ the works no combo. Gal was nice, hands us our bag, and then hands me the drink (covered w/ Pepsi on the outside and so full it's coming out the top and drips on my shirt.) Get home, hungry as every and ready to eat, dad opens his sandwiches and I ask him "are you sure that's a large?" because it was so small in size. Dad takes a bite and starts commenting on how it doesn't taste right and how the bread is "black" , pull the sandwich apart, and there is sooooooooo much balsamic on it that the bread is LITERALLY BLACK and the dough is soggy! It's south dough. That's tough bread! How much fricken balsamic did you put on there to make it soggy??!?! I start w/ my soup. Open it up and it's basically water. Watered down cream w/ potato chunks that's it. It's cold. Like cold, and I live less then a minute from this place so it didn't get cold on the drive. I take a bite....barf. Nasty. And the smell was worse. It was so sore smelling On to the sandwich. Can you say sauce?? THE WHOLE THING WAS FRICKEN MAYO AND MUSTARD. NOT JOKING. Slice of turkey, slice of salami, 1 tomato slice(for the whole "full") thin slice of cheese, and lettuce. There is so much dressing my sandwich wouldn't even stay together! I had to use a napkin and wipe it off! Literally so much. I should have just ordered bread w/ dressing because that's basically what I got. All in all a waste of $18. I will not go back. They take them back in and tell the girl at the register they gave them the wrong order. This is what she does, Grabs bag, unwrapped the sandwiches, RE WRAPS them right in front of my sister, her friend, and another customer, and yells out the other customers order. It took an hour from the time I stood in line, until the time I got our food. I ordered to go, took the bag and drove 5 miles home. When I got home, my Italian sandwich had NO MEAT. It was literally some sauce, a few lettuce shreads and one slice of tomato. Will not be going back. read more

Nice atmosphere to the side of a gas station mini-market, fast food style. I went to the Rathdrum location for this small Pacific Northwest restaurant chain yesterday after church. This is not the first time I've stopped at a San Francisco Sourdough Eatery. I return mainly for the bread and soup. Each time I ordered broccoli-cheddar soup which comes with a bit of warm bread. Delicious! I've also ordered sandwiches. The main attraction is the bread. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and the delicious San Francisco sourdough french bread was part of our special Saturday evening meals. Ever since then I've searched for that unique sourdough french bread flavor and been utterly disappointed many, many times. However this chain of restaurants differs in that it was started by a member of the family that provided San Francisco with the best french bread ever. He used his family's recipe to gift the Coeur d'Alene area with this amazing sourdough, and the popularity of his restaurants spread... there are now many locations. I learned that from one of the restaurant cooks. I wish the restaurants were more upscale and less fast-foodish - that's my only complaint. Some nice cuisine alongside this bread would be great. Fortunately I can buy the bread to take home, where I can feast on it for days. The price is reasonable. read more

Omg...this place has the BEST sub Sammie's EVER! My husband and I are sandwich freaks and when we moved to Rathdrum two months ago we found this place and it is awesome! Great food, bread and service. The guys behind the counter making your Sammie are not only kind and professional...they flat out know what they are doing! I had the #4 sourdough Sammie which had ham, turkey and roast beef in addition to Swiss cheese, mayo, Dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato onion and came with a dill pickle. You can order your sub any way you want it and in three sizes but "Loaded" is always my choice. They even have a drive through and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Oh, you can even get a loaf of their fabulous sourdough bread either baked or unbaked to take home. I'm telling you folks...you have to check out this place. They even serve breakfast subs. Considering that Rathdrum is a small city, we are lucky to have them here. read more
