Our greeter promptly served us chips and salsa along with our drink choice. They have a variety of menu options typical of most Mexican restaurants. We had tacos and a super burrito that were simply delicious. I highly enjoyed our meal and desert. The ingredients are fresh to the look and taste. We will be back soon. We have been here for years and never came to this place. We walked in, were seated immediately, had water in less than a minute and drinks in less than three. They were so on top of it, without being annoying. The food came without delay. The follow up was spot on. The only thing keeping away the 5th star is the ambiance was just off a bit. A little too bright maybe. Maybe because it's right next to the grocery store. Not sure but it was a small thing. Definitely give it a try. read more

I was skeptical because we've tried a few places in CDA and Hayden that haven't been the greatest. My husband is super picky with his Chile Colorado. During the pandemic, we did an order pickup and everything was pretty good. But there's something about picking up your food and taking it home that just can't quite satisfy you the way eating in the restaurant can. As soon as we were able to eat in restaurant we decided to go in. The decor was authentic and had some beautiful artwork. We were immediately sat and given chips and a nice spread of salsa's (hot and mild). My husband ordered the Chili Colorado (again), my daughter ordered a carne asada taco plate, and I ordered the combo plate with an enchilada, chile rellano and taco. I also decided on a peach margarita and was not disappointed. The rice had veggies in it, the sauces were very good. The service was amazing. Between this order and the pickup order we have been able to meet both the husband and wife owners. Super friendly people!! We will DEFINITELY be back. We found our place!! read more

My favorite Mexican Restaurant in Rathdrum. From the food to the margarita it cannot be beat. I am an enchilada verde freak. I lived in Mexico for 14 years. This is the closest to authenticity I can find! The green sauce is so good. The Margie's are really good as well. The service is always top notch, very quick to receive your food but absolutely not rushed to leave. Don't miss the fajitas either. So hard to find good ones. We decided to give this establishment a second chance tonight. Big mistake. Literally the worst restaurant meal we've ever had. We started off by being seated uncomfortably close to the other two occupied tables. With the enormous amount of empty space it came across as inconsiderate to be positioned as we were. I did not feel comfortable with speaking up about it so we stuck it out. The chips were very good. The salsa was awful in our opinion. Way too much chili powder or possibly cumin. I ordered the chicken nachos. My spouse ordered the "cheese crispies" or something like that. She initially ordered the wrong item because the picture was placed incorrectly on the menu. After mentioning it, the waitress brought a different item, also incorrect. We did not argue this because we just wanted out of there. Both of us agreed that the chicken tasted like canned. I only took two or three bites of my nachos. She ate a very small portion of her meal. And we left a huge amount of food on the table. I went ahead and tipped five dollars because I felt badly for the people having to work at this dump. I'm not angry, I just feel sad for the people working at this place. We will never return again. The first time we went there, which was about three years ago. It was also terrible, but we wanted to give it a second chance. Fool me one time. read more

Ok I dont know why the reviews are so low. But apparently theres new management. My bf and i went and got 2 giant super wet burritos. Mine w shrimp his was chicken and guacamole and sour cream. We also got the chips and salsa. This. Place. Is. The. Best!!! So stoked its 5 mins from our house! Also we got ours to go and it was cooked in like 5-10 mins super fast. The shrimp burrito was so flavorful with the cheese, refried beans and seasoned shrimp! We both ate the whole portion which was a giant portion. I have to agree with JT and his review. I'll be a little more generous with two stars just because the waitress and staff were very friendly. Whenever I go to a Mexican restaurant I always get the Chile Verde. It's my favorite dish so I had to get it here. Like JT said, not good at all. Definitely taste like they just used the sauce from a La Victoria can be use it has a very distinct "not authentic" flavor. It's unfortunate because my wife loved her dish but I will not be back and I was very hopeful that it would be good since it is literally just 5 minutes from our house but sounds like we'll have to drive to CDA for Mexican Food. read more

Easily the worst experience with a Mexican restaurant ever. I've eaten Mexican food in Mexico, California, Arizona, Texas and a lot of other places including most in our region and this was the bottom of the list. What wasn't dry and bland was way too salty. The ingredients all looked like they came from a can including the"meat". It looked grey and featureless and met expectations. Service was slow and made our group feel as if we were intruding by being there. The air of indifference was overwhelming. Just reviewing this place as a "restaurant" and not as a Mexican restaurant wouldn't help. I detest fast food, but if offered this or the local fast food place, I'd pick the fast food. I just want to say the food is good here but the blonde waitress 9-25-2015 after 5 pm was so was absolutely so rude and loudly rude to us that if she is ever in there when we go to eat again, we will walk right out. The worst restaurant we have ever been to in North Idaho. Sat down and the service started well but then went for a turn. After taking our order, we waited almost 1 hour before getting our food to us which by the time it came was ice cold. While waiting for our food, it was an inconvenience to the "wait staff" that we interrupt their talking to each-other to get a refill on our water. We planned on eating the food we had ordered but when we told them that the food was cold. They ripped it off the table and said "you dont need to pay for it" and told us we could leave.
