Why wasn't the cheese burger meal either in a bag by itself or in a box? They all need professional training done all over again, better yet fire them all and get new employees! Drove through for the Zero Gravity Blizzard. The workers were unfriendly--the one who took my order, the one who took my money, and the one who handed out the food. I waited in the drive through for over ten minutes. They didn't flip the cup, but good thing because my blizzard was melting when I got it. There was ice cream and food coloring all over the side of the cup. I didn't expect it to look exactly like the picture, but they didn't even come close. It wouldn't have been so bad if they were nice and at least apologized for the wait and/or the appearance of what they handed me, but I got nothing but a grimace. My friend and I went to grab some lunch here the other day. She ordered the bbq bacon cheeseburger and I had the flamethrower burger, with no sauce. Both have bacon on them. After receiving our orders we pull the car around to the shade to eat some before hitting the road again. We opened our burgers and BOTH were missing the bacon. So we went in and asked for it to be fixed. They quickly obliged. I made sure to hand my receipt with it so they could see the order they messed up. We got our burgers back and head back out to the car. Well. They put the bacon on them, but mine was drenched in the sauce. We didn't have time to go back in and wait for another adjusted burger, so my meal went to the dogs. I dont plan to ever go back here again. It wasnt even that crowded. We were the only ones in the drive through, and there was one group in the restaurant ordering food. read more

Despite waiting in line for over thirty minutes, my food came out wrong and cold. As for getting it made correctly, I'm waiting in the 30 minute line. I got charged 75¢ for bbq when they didn't give it to me. I got charged $1.05 more for cheese curds which I did not receive. The process of getting what is now cold and messed up to fixed is not fair or right. I worked and managed a Dairy Queen for 3 years, never in my time did we have customers waiting 39 minutes to get a simple combo. read more

This is the slowest "fast" food restaurant in Richmond. I've been here a few times and I've never been through the drive thru in under 15 minutes, even if I'm the only one there. You're lucky if you get 10 fries in a chicken strip basket. There was a finger hole in a piece of toast i received. Assuming they were trying to check to see if it was still warm or not. I would highly recommend NOT going here read more

The guy at the window taking the orders was very hateful and being rude to us while we were ordering our food so we then left the line. Drive a large truck and trailer so couldn't go through drive through. So I called, had to call 5 times before someone finally answered the phone then was very hateful when they did finally answer told me to come to the door by drive through window and place order and so I did and was again greeted by a very rude and hateful employee who told me to leave and go back through drive through, I explained why I was told she continued to be rude but finally took my order and gave me the wrong stuff. In my hometown we have two Dairy Queen's, Granted the one by the interstate is a little better. I was disgusted at the service I received today at the one in town. I went in there with my dad, we weren't greeted. There was a line of customers and the employees were ignoring them just talking. Then once we order, we were told the soda machine didn't work(which was a lie). I received our meals, my sandwich was wrong and they didn't give my dad his fries. I proceeded to back to the front, they agreed to fix it. I watched as all the employees just lolly gagged around, they finely got to the point of correcting my order. Only once I got back to my table it was still wrong. I only order a double bacon cheeseburger plain people. First they gave me no cheese. The second time they gave me no bacon. I was too the point I went up there. I told them I wasn't waiting another five minutes for them to sit there with their balls in their hands and not fix my order. I just simply asked them to give me the bacon and I'll correct it myself. After choking my meal down, because I refused to pay for a drink and only get water. An elderly man went to the soda machine and worked. I was beyond pissed at that point. The employees lied, were rude and not even doing their jobs. I will never go back to that Dairy Queen again. I'd rather drive 30 minutes to the town over and get good service and a better meal at a different Dairy Queen. read more

The food was your basic DQ food, no complaints there. The blizzards are always yummy! Tonight was the first time we've gone in to eat. I was beyond grossed out by the inside. What in the world is wrong with people? I don't know who the manager was; maybe the guy who wiped his nose with his shirt in the ice cream area. What was that HORRIBLE smell in the drink machine?! The paper napkins laying out at all the tables came in handy when I got water to wash the gunk off our table. Good thing they were so handy just draped over the other non-clean table basket. Who wants to waste time using some pesky napkin dispenser anyway? Trash was overflowing inside and outside of the building. That worker who kept wiping her hands on her pants and shirt wasn't kidding when she said "that trash is going to be impossible to get out of here!" Hey maybe the 5 employees on break will be willing to take care of it when they're back on the clock. Maybe. Cleanliness is really no joke though, especially if you're going to run an eatery. I would give a 0 but that wasn't a choice. The review is about the owner Ron Lasher and the unjust punishment for an employee calling off to help his mother to move. She was court order to vacate her residence September 3 2019. She had lost two vehicles within a week of each other. The second was because the junk vehicles brakes went out the second day of having the car and she hit a tree in Berea. She lost her job because she had no transportation and her job required a vehicle for daily pick ups. She lost a job in 2018 and her unemployment ran out and her 19 year old son had to pay her rent electric water cable and maybe more from October 2018 - June 2019. And he didn't reside with his mom he lives in a different location 3 miles away. Sometimes you have to do the right thing for your family and he did. She got her job but as I said she lost it sometime around August. She also lost her mother and they was unable to go to the funeral in Connecticut due not having enough money for gas. He was unable to stay at EKU because the FASFA(on other reviews sites I spelled the FASFA wrong)paperwork wasn't done by his mother. So his dream of becoming a teacher was lost at worst but at best many years longer before he gets the $8000 payment for his first and only semester paid off. This family has had a very hard 18 months or longer. He had to call off for the move and he called the day before and he was punished with 5 days off without pay. I also called off from my job to help since I had 5 years of experience working for United Vans Lines as a driver. They have no other family here they are in New York and Connecticut. With my experience I knew it was going to be a all day job. And it took 8.5 hours packing and loading. Not counting the time to unload In Harrodsburg Kentucky thanks to a wonderful family that gave her a room in their home so she wouldn't be homeless. So Ron Lasher the owner of the Dairy Queen at 1007 Sylvia Drive Richmond Kentucky and the Kid to Kid next door. Gave this employee 5 days without pay to someone that had to do the right thing for his mother. Some punishment was expected but 1-3 days was the normal punishment. And this was his first write up at DQ. No way to treat your employees, no way to treat people Ron Lasher. read more

I've been to this DQ three times now. First two times my blizzards were only 3/4 full and now I ordered six chicken tender meal and they only gave me five with no bread. They are cutting corners with there service and meals. I'm pretty disappoint and will not be going back. read more

Do not recommend this location. I asked for a dipped cone with sprinkles and cherries, and the young man replied with, "Well, I don't know how to ring that up, so..." I found this incredibly rude. Then, the woman at the register was still confused and wasn't sure if I wanted strawberries or cherries. They rang me up for a sundae and put chocolate on it as well. Not a happy customer. read more

I went there at 9:30 this morning, that's an hour away from breakfast being over.. first sat in line for 17 minutes. Then when I got my food the gravy was cold, & no sausage in it then the biscuit dunkers we're still doughy!! They was still white not brown at all!! It was awful! This is the 3rd time something like this has happened to me. I will not be going back!! Very disappointed! Needs some district managers who are doing their job watching the store managers to the shift managers to make sure the food is getting done & the store is running as supposed to be. read more

I chose to have dinner at this Dairy Queen today, and was very disappointed. The staff is super friendly, but other than that, I would not recommend eating here. The drink machine in the dining area did not work, so I had to have the cashier to fill my drink. Next, choosing a table that was not dirty, or that had trays with empty cardboard sandwich boxes and drinks on them was a very difficult task. I finally swatted some lettuce off of one and sat down at one. Soon after than, my food arrived. I could tell that the sandwich had been hastily prepared, due to the way the wrapper was poorly folded around it. After inspecting it, I knew why someone had scrapped their lettuce off on to the table. Mine was wilted, and did not look very good. I discarded it, and took a bite. The hamburger patties tasted like they were old, and had been reheated. The at least the fries were warm, and tasted alright. I'm very disappointed that Dairy Queen, the franchise I've always enjoyed eating at, is being represented in such a way. read more
