The menu is extremely limited! Walked in to a set of kiosk that you order from, not longer a person, but a very friendly older man coming by to assist those who were lost at the idea of ordering like this. The older man could have been hired to take orders so not sure the logic in this idea. They definitely should have removed the chili spaghetti when they limited the menu. Also after this experience just stick to shakes & add protein shakes. Burger are not worth it. Even the steak burger looked like a skinny burger. Thankfully there weren't robots making our food in the back. One man on the grill, one fryer guy, in training putting the orders together & a lady manager at the window. Total of 4 employees doing their best. I am very disappointed at this Steak n Shake franchise & corporation itself. I know this is not Las Vegas, but every franchise should equal each other. Quality of food, menu, staff & service, not at this franchise. Ours in Vegas has not changed, however I will not be back here anytime soon. Good food for a reasonable price! Sorry they don't still have baked beans like they used to. We came in on 12/09/23 and there was no one there......we were skeptical but within 10 minutes the place was packed. Monica, one of the managers, was friendly and had a smile even with such a deluge of customers....and she was working right along side the other staff, not hiding in an office. Jane, the other manager, was cooking the burgers....neither let the grass grow under their feet....lastly i don't know his name but the man who was keeping up with the milkshakes was pretty phenomenal. They have changed so that they no longer have anyone to wait on ypu. You have to place your order on a computer, and then someone bring it out to your table. You are responsibile for getting your drinks, ketchup, etc. Burger was dry, meat smashed paper-thin. Fries wete cold but probably because it was freezing inside the diningroom. The waitress is very rude and one of our friends changed their order when she was taking them up and she rolled her eyes and was very rude. Waited 10 minutes behind one car at the drive through. They finally took their order, and I was told they would be with me in just a moment. 10 minutes later, and I still had not ordered. Took my business across the street. There were only 2 cars in the drive through! I usually do not complain. I just take my business elsewhere. However, there was an employee standing at the back door beside the drive through menu and smoking the entire time I sat in the line...about 20+ minutes. Then as I gave up and left, another employee was walking to the Circle K convenience store across the street. I know everyone deserves a break, but not when one car is taken through the drive through at a rate of every 10-20 minutes. There was just one car in front of me, and it was at the pickup window when I left without my order taken. There may be a good reason for this. They may have been short staffed or had some issues inside that I was unaware of. I will consider that, but it looked really bad. I wonder if the girl taking orders at the drive through was also the cook, waitress, and cashier while her coworkers smoked and went across the street. This was not fair to her or to the customers. The manager should be aware that perception is reality to many people, and when we get frustrated, we often draw our own conclusions. read more

Steak 'n' Shake is what McDonald's/Burger King/etc. could be if they tried and were awesome. And this is one of the better locations I've been to. Normally, I get a burger and/or a milkshake. This time, I was passing through on a road trip and wanted breakfast. So I grabbed one of their skillets and was actually really impressed. It was far more flavorful than the skillets I typically find at restaurants and was definitely filling. Service was decent, and I can't really complain about anything. Open 24 hrs BUT closed drive thru because "they couldn't keep up". Dine in open so walked in and stood there for 10 minutes and no one greeted or offered to seat me. As for the food; I order a fresco melt and it looked like someone threw up some cheese and meat and the put it between two slices of bread. This was honestly the worst experience I've had with a Steak'n Shake. Its not a quality sit down restaurant and its no longer fast food. First found out they no longer do side by side milk shakes, okay I'll get over that. So then I go for the $4 double steak burger with small milk shake. Another promotion was to have free fries so that would save a dollar at the drive through, so I ordered a second small milk shake so I could have one chocolate and one strawberry aka my side by side. Well I waited in this drive through for over 20 minutes which made a long road trip so much longer. Then the small milk shakes were in little Styrofoam cups that were so small I could only assume they were actually for kids or water. If it couldn't get worse it did, no fries and I was not going to wait for them. Again already been over 20 minutes. Well the burger was just sloppy and thrown together. Surprisingly there was a side of cheese sauce in my bag, what for I do not know since I had no fries lol. I will be reluctant to stop at another Steak'n Shake on the road again, but definitely will never stop at this one again. No real customer service and just felt completely ripped off with complete waste of my time. read more

So basically we came in and order on those mechanics and it was going smoothly and then the machine quit working as we were putting money in it but luckily we only had put a dollar in then this lady come over and took our order she was nice but they called our order and it was in bags and we said that we ordered in and we asked the manager about and he said yeah that's you're food we just put in bags bc the mechan broke and that's what it said so we got it and all the food was cooled plus all of the orders were wrong besides one and it was cold as heck and the onion rings that we got was not cooked and hard and we got some fries and we all got cheese drys besides one and we got large fries too and they were all different sizes and the buggers we all wrong besides the one ofc and after we told the manager he said yeah you guys got the wrong order and he was all rude about it too and if he said yeah we made a mistake sorry about that guys I would have been fine and understanding and we've been waiting on the 2 burgers for over an hour and it really isnt busy at all there is only like 2 small families here and there all gotten their food and we've had to tell them 3 times about it it really just has gone down hill sadly but I finally got my burger and it was decent I'm glad it was hot but for me I will not be returning sadly read more

Their food is decent, it tastes just like any other Steak n' Shake. The service here is GARBAGE. Probably would have waited in Drive thru for 30 minutes or more if I was dumb enough to sit there. Of course, the people in front of me were stupid enough to sit there for 15 minutes with nobody taking their order. I couldn't get out because of how the cars were so I had to stupidly sit there with them. I've eaten there earlier in the day and they usually have more people during the day shift. i eat at steak 'n shake constantly, it's my comfort food. i always get the same thing, the price is never the same. even when i order extra bbq sauce they do not put it in the bag, i always ask for extra and when i get to the window i always ask if it's in the bag, it never it. it's just super super frustrating because i love steak 'n shake and i've eaten there for years, at least 3 times a month for 4 years. and the past few months have been awful. the food always tastes amazing even if i have to go through the drive thru twice to make sure i got all my fries and sauces read more
