My family and I visited this Dairy Queen on August 30 a little before 6:00 p.m. There were six of us, and we patiently waited in line. When it was finally our turn, the woman at the register was extremely rude -- no greeting, no smile, not even basic acknowledgment until we asked if we could order. Her negative attitude continued when she brought the Blizzards to our table. One was melting down the side and none of them were made correctly. When my daughter went back to the counter to ask about hers, which looked like it had been made incorrectly, the employee argued with her instead of trying to help. When I went to the counter to ask for the manager, I found out that the same young woman with the bad attitude was the manager. If this is the type of behavior Dairy Queen accepts from its management, it's extremely disappointing. I ordered the chicken strip basket. The fries were greasy. The chicken strips were small. The Texas toast wasn't even toasted and it had like a drop of butter on it. The ambience of this location looks like a construction zone. They had new reader boards, but they didn't take the time to make it look nice. You could see all of the holes that were drilled in the pieces that were removed. The gravy was like water. It appeared quite messy inside however, I did get my food fairly quick that's about the only positive thing that I can say about this location. read more

I went to the Sedro-Woolley Dairy Queen to pick up dinner. I went through the drive thru the lady said she could not under stand me so I repeated my order again and she said I can't understand you while she was laughing I was so upset by the time I got to the window I had tears. I asked the girl if she was the one who took my order and she said no. I said to please tell her it is not nice to make fun of people with disabilities. A different women came to the window and handed me a coupon to fill out after taking a survey to get a free dilly bar because I looked sad. I have work so hard to get my speech back and thought I was doing well but because of your employees I don't even want to speak. I called the corporate office and the said they were going to refer this matter to the Sedro-Woolley owners but I have not heard one word from them. Absolutely disgusting and poor service!! I would give it zero stars if it would let me!!!! I spent over 20 minutes in line waiting for 4 cars orders. The car in front of me received the wrong order and had to be refunded and reordered. When given my food the proceeded to give me the wrong order. They had to redo my order as well. They still gave me the wrong blizzard(which they did replace, and correctly). However, the first bag of food they handed me was cold! I let them know right away and they replaced my food. When I grabbed the bag the bag was warm. I didn't even get out of the drive thru when I realized my food was, again, cold!! I can't back up because of the cars so I pull around front. They apparently have the lobby closed. I called them and they told me there was nothing they could do about my order unless I wanted to wait in line, again, for likely cold food. At this point the line for the drivethru is into the highway!! I was not waiting again. They would not correct my food, nor refund me. Needless to say, I will not be going there again. Make this right! At least give me a refund for the disgusting cold soggy food and wrong beverage you gave me! And train your staff on how to prepare food. I don't know how you could ever pass a food inspection at this rate(this is not the first time I've had this experience there, let alone other people I know!!). The staff was friendly and helpful. Someone was cleaning, and the bathroom was ok. The chicken sandwich I purchased I ended up throwing away. The chicken was rubbery, there was a tiny tomato slice, and the lettuce on it was so so rotten. They even seemed to get the rotten lettuce core on the sandwich without noticing. Seeing as I was the only customer, seems like some effort could have been made to ensure I didnt get sick. I am not sure who will read this review but I think it should be known the owner of this establishment is unreliable. My son has had three appointments to meet with the owner and these appointments were to interview for a job position. Although I am trying to teach my son responsibility and teach him to be a productive member of society, these interviews were important to my son, the owner never showed. Nor gave a good reason to be a no show. Hmmm makes me think hard about where I want my hard earned dollars to go and certainly not this establishment. Burger patties are nearly always cold, but at least they have tomatoes and lettuce and sometimes they are warm - obviously they pre-cook too far ahead like most fast food joints in Skagit Valley. Last time they shorted me a burger patty when I ordered a half pound double cheese burger and instead of two slices of bacon on the 1/4lb bacon burger it was clear they cut one slice in half because I had to dig inside the burger to locate the bacon as it didn't even come close to covering the width of the patty. Then they wanted to charge me an extra $1.71 for two little cups of tarter sauce to go with the $3.89 onion rings which in the past were twice as big. Management or ownership is obviously in rip-off mode here now - thus I'd stay clear and try the other two fast food chains nearby or better yet HAL's Drive in which is outstanding or Skagit Valley Burger express which is good though costlier. read more
