Fast friendly service with amazing fresh food. I like the drive in dine in experience but I'd also wish they had some tables outside for eating as it wasn't the easiest to eat in my car. The onion rings were well battered and crispy but not too crispy where it cuts the roof of your mouth. My double cheeseburger was one of the best I've ever had with generous toppings and the real strawberry milk shake was perfect to wash it all down. I was quite impressed with this burger. I've avoided Burgermaster cause I heard it was mediocre. Ummmm, wrong! lol. At least in my opinion the food was fresh, the fries were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of salt. The burger had some weight to it, and the flavor was outstanding. Even my reheated leftovers were awesome! I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Or if it's been a while and you weren't a fan, maybe try it one more time. We are recently new to Mount Vernon, after moving here to care for a family member. The quality of all the ingredients are top shelf. We have had the bacon burger, regular burger, and fish sandwich, on our 3 separate visits, all were enjoyed to the last crumb. And the side are great, also. French fries done to perfect crispness, and onion rings are lightly tempura battered, and not greasy. Finally, the shakes, done to the right frozen consistency. Went over to burger masters on Monday, April 1, 2024; just now. It took 38 minutes for our food to come out to our car, and it was only two of us in the car ordering. Our car hop Amanda was very very sweet. You could tell they were all overwhelmed, but she never had an attitude once. I expressed my sympathy. When the food finally came, I realized my chocolate peanut butter shake taste it only like peanut butter, and it didn't taste like any chocolate at all. So I called to another carhop, "excuse me, ma'am? " And she literally whipped yourself around and yelled out, "YES?!?!???!!" all stressed out like she was yelling at a family member, and when I flagged her over. I explained that I needed Amanda's help in getting another shake because it didn't taste like any chocolate. Donna just argued with me and told me there's already chocolate in it. even though it had a peanut butter label on top. I also explained that the label only says peanut butter and the label doesn't say chocolate. She said, "Oh well, we just use peanut butter labels only for those with allergies but we don't use chocolate labels." I explain to her I thought the same thing, so that's why I thought I would taste it first (benefit of the doubt), but for some reason it doesn't taste like any chocolate in there. With an attitude she said she'd get me a new one. I just feel like this Donna doesn't handle stress well she doesn't belong here. She gives Burgermaster a bad name. I've been coming here for one year and I've never been treated so poorly where after they want to hold me up for 40 minutes then they treat me like garbage over a milkshake that didn't taste like what I ordered. And we didn't even mention the cold, french fries. my teenage daughter just ate them. Again, Amanda is a gem. Give her a raise and a promotion. We had two burger master burgers combos - one with a chocolate shake. $28. I the grass fed patties were larger than the big bun. I wouldn't say it was a thick patty but not thin either. It was delicious and juicy. The shake was just about as good as you can get and the fries were hot and crispy. Think of McDonald's times 200%. We got to order and dine in our car! The server was prompt and very friendly. Heck we even saw the billboard looking to hire cooks for $20 an hour! The fries were great but I'm not a fry connoisseur so I didn't eat more than a couple. I also ordered a chocolate shake. Food - paid $11 for a really chewy fish sandwich, the flavor was okay but I probably wouldn't order this again. My husband enjoyed his burger. Service - drive up, turn on lights and wait a few minutes for a nice lady to take your order in 5ish minutes your food will be out and on your lap in your car or you can sit at an outdoor table. The place was that fun 50s style drive up & eat in your car type ambiance, I've never been to a restaurant like this so the experience was cool. We stopped here after a nice hike at the state park and it was on the way home. I think we will definitely come back another time when passing through. For fast food it was nice to support a local business, especially one serving grass fed beef. Im still in shock over how quickly inflation is bumping up prices so I'm not even going to go into what I paid for just 2 people and a toddler to eat on the go at a fast food place but it was a decent price considering our current economy. read more
