I've passed by this place for years and finally decided to go in. 30 min wait. It was well worth it. It's kind of small but really homey and the staff is really friendly. The food was amazing and the portions are huge. I've never seen a bigger biscuit. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a nice touch. I highly recommend you give it a try. Will for sure be back!!!

The place is a little hole in the wall that serves the biggest and best breakfast. So yummy. The service once we were seated was excellent, refilled our coffee cups at the perfect time and tried to warn us that we were ordering too much food! We didn't listen and ended up taking it home and we had enough for dinner and breakfast this morning .

BIG portions of breakfast food. We both had leftovers for lunch and dinner. The taste is just OK. Don't expect it to be a fancy brunch place. It gets the job done and clearly the locals love eating here. Small parking lot so arrive early on busy days like the weekend.

Went to Mr. T's for breakfast and it was fantastic! The food is hearty, delicious, and the portion sizes are huge--definitely a great value. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with a side of gravy (for dipping) and french fries. The service was also quick and friendly, making for a perfect start to our day. Highly recommend this local gem!

Received burnt toast. I also order two eggs and it looks like I got one....i paid $15 for this. Like what??

It was a long wait, about 45 minutes on the weekend for breakfast. Unfortunately, I would say that the wait was not worth it. The food was good but didn't stand out or make you feel extra happy. The onion rings were good but the Swiss Dip not so much. I think the French Dip would have been much better or just get a cheeseburger but the two combined didn't work. The chicken fried steak was good but it had way too much gravy. The eggs were nice but it was just scrambled eggs. The hashbrowns were bad as they had a lot of the butter flavored cooking oil and they were drenched. The biscuit was large but a bit dry and lacked that fluffiness and no crunch on the top.

Mr T's is amazing! The portions are huge, the servers are very nice and personable as well. They are usually pretty busy but they do a great job of staying attentive and getting food out efficiently. Also if you like biscuits, you have to try theirs! The biscuits are so fluffy and large I never can finish them with the rest of the food. Whenever I pass through I always try and stop by. Overall, the diner is comfortable and has a nice homey feel, I definitely recommend!

I pulled up and the building looks like a dive. One car. Industrial area. I had to look at Yelp again. Yep... it's the place. I walk in and was greeted immediately by a young man. Super nice. Told me to sit anywhere. Brought me an ice water and asked if I had been before. I was told the special as well as menu favorites. I opted for Mike's Loaded Hashbrowns. Two layers of hashbrowns with bacon, sausage, onion, jalapeños and cheese, topped with country sausage gravy and two eggs. For bread choice I had to try their homemade biscuit. This thing is a monster. Loaded is an understatement. This plate was chock full of goodness. I tasted the biscuit without butter. So warm, fresh, soft and delicious! How on earth is this place not packed??? If you want great service and huge delicious breakfast...they serve lunch as well... get in to Mr. T's!

Yeah, that is not going to fit into the package, Get In My Belly! :)

The best breakfast in Skagit! Imagine fluffy egg omelet, massive sides of crispy hasbrowns, biscuits or whatever your heart desires. I have to confess, ridiculously large pancakes always steal my heart. I even ordered extras to take home. My picky kids loved the chicken sandwich and kids tenders. Fries was beautifully spiced! Really "at home" feel. Our server David was 10/10! Highly recommended this place!

While you're waiting you can go to the shop down the stairs or go to the dessert area right next to the waiting area to get some great desserts. Last time i was there I saw frosted cream cheese sugar cookies, and pies, and more. When you get seated there are so many great food options, lots of options, same with drinks. They are only open until 3:30 pm so be sure to manage time well. And don't expect an empty place, it's usually populated. Tight space, so scoot in those chairs as far as you can. Staff were laid back, and nice. When they're busy make sure to be patient with the staff, they're dealing with tons of other orders as well.

We had breakfast there last Wednesday morning, and from the moment we arrived, it felt special. The outside is adorable, but somehow the inside is even more charming. There's such a warm, welcoming energy the second you walk in. Off to the side is their incredible shop, "Re-Feather Your Nest," filled with thousands of unique and beautiful items--it honestly feels like a destination all on its own. To the left when you enter, you're greeted by their bakery cases, and wow--there are more options than most bakeries I've ever seen. Everything looked amazing, and we were lucky enough to be seated right away (always a win!). The restaurant itself is two stories, and our table overlooked the store below, which made the whole experience even more fun. We started with their famous cinnamon roll, fresh coffee (with the cutest little design on top!), and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice--which was incredibly refreshing. For breakfast, I ordered the Calico Benedict on a homemade English muffin with corned beef--so good! And the country-style potatoes? Easily some of the best I've ever had. I couldn't even finish them and happily took the rest home...they were just as delicious the next day. My husband ordered the Breakfast Sampler with sausage and loved every bite as well. What really stood out, beyond the food, was how clean everything was and how genuinely happy the staff seemed. You can tell they enjoy working there, and that makes such a difference. After breakfast, we wandered through the gift shop and found so many unique treasures--big and small. I actually visited Magnolia in Waco, Texas a couple of months ago, and honestly, this is the kind of charming, personality-filled place that would fit right in there (and maybe even outshine it!). If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--even if it's just to browse the shop. It's one of those rare places that truly has it all. A must-visit!

Regulars clearly know each other and the staff, which you don't really see much anymore. Refreshing. Service matched that energy -- warm and good throughout. I went with my go-to order, the chicken fried steak. It's not the best I've had -- the steak itself had more of a ground meat texture than a proper cut, which was a little different. But it was enormous and absolutely hit the spot. The biscuit on the side was solid too. My husband got the ham and said it was juicy and well done. Not a destination spot necessarily, but a great find if you're in the area and want a hearty, unpretentious brunch.

I stopped in on "Black Friday" on my way to a medical appointment…read more The Porterhouse Pub was open and had a few tables occupied, so there was no problem getting seated. I noticed a bunch of slates with beer names and spotted a cider from Terramar advertising a Strawberry Rhubarb cider and decided I wanted to try that flavor combination. It was sweet with a little tart aftertaste. For my meal I opted for the Porterhouse Cheese Curds as an appetizer and the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich with fries for my main dish. The cheese curds were nicely battered and fried and the housemade ranch was a nice accompaniment to the cheese curds. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was only crispy on the outside where the batter was applied! The rest of the chicken was tender and juicy. So tasty . I didn't think the sandwich was all that spicy, but that would be my fault because I eat jalapeno like candy and routinely use habanero hot sauce on my food. Even though I didn't think it was all that spicy I did enjoy the flavor and crunch of the sandwich. There was a bunch of steak fries served with my sandwich. Excellent fries, but way too many for me to eat them all. I think I probably ate only 1/4 of them!! The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were super affordable. I especially appreciated that they had one of my favorite seltzers, from Stemma Brewing, on tap! We enjoyed a couple of appetizers. The calamari was crispy and delicious, and served with a side of tasty aioli. Although not quite enough aioli, as we ran out about half way through the calamari and had to order more. (Tbh I was kinda surprised when I saw they had charged us for the "extra" aioli.) The hot artichoke dip was good, too, though the portion was pretty small for the price. I'd come back again, but maybe during happy hour as it might be a better value.
