This place has gone downhill in the past few years. I love icecream and would sometimes get a blizzard here 2-3 times a week. I go about once every 2 weeks now and am always disappointed. Order a blizzard and you are lucky to get 2 or 3 small pieces of reeses peanutbutter cup chunks. Literally, all icecream and almost nonexistent add ins...total waste of time and money. I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the behavior of several staff members at this location . During my recent visit, I experienced conduct that was not only unprofessional but highly inappropriate for a customer-facing establishment. The people were not very friendly to me at all. They lacked manners and overall the atmosphere was not very great. The actions and attitude of the team--with the exception of Crazy Connie, who remained polite and respectful--made the visit extremely uncomfortable. Whether it was the tone used with customers, inappropriate jokes, or a general lack of courtesy, the behavior I witnessed does not align with the standard of service I expect from a brand like Dairy Queen. Although the food was good. I don't recommend. I believe customers deserve to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. I hope this message prompts a review of staffing and training practices to ensure that all employees reflect the values of your company. Thank you for your attention to this matter. This Dairy Queen always seems to be closing early. I don't know if that's due to poor management or lazy employees, but it's always handled horribly. According to the sign on the drive-thru window AND Google, this establishment closes at 9:00pm. I arrived at 8:40 for a late night sweet treat and was met with hostile employees saying they were leaving and refused to serve us or elaborate. Do better. read more

I can not tell you how many times we have driven by here and have never stopped in. Well tonight was our first visit here and I am glad we stopped. Today was 103 degrees outside and when we went here at 8pm it was still 96 on the car temperature gauge. Yes we needed ice cream to cool us down. I also found a coupon in the local newspaper that saved us $3.29 off of our order. Now that's a good deal. I think every teenager in this town works here and were they efficient. Honestly whoever trained these kids did an amazing job. They worked like a finely tuned instrument. In fact, my Oreo Blizzard was made before we even pulled out our money to pay. Yes that is fast!!! My oreo blizzard was blended perfectly. There was Oreo in every bite just the way I like it. I've had other Oreo Blizzards at other restaurants and I'm always let down. Dairy Queen gets it and they should because they created the original blizzard. On a side note I'm guessing they invented it, so do not quote me in a journal or anything like that! The rest of the family ordered hot fudge sundaes and they were all very happy. There is plenty of parking in the back of the building and also a drive thru. I love the neon on the DQ location here. Stick to ice cream, our blizzards were great. But $5.49 for the most GREASY, SALTY. UNDERCOOKED cheese curds is a hard pass. They're lucky we were just passing though and couldn't return these nasty curds cause ew. read more

This place is what you should expect. Bunch of high schoolers and a 21 year old manager running the place. Service is okay. They sometimes forget food you ordered. Take for ever. This Dairy Queen disappoints every time we attempt to get service. Better make sure you give yourself 10-15 minutes in the drive thru and the person in front of you knows exactly what they want. They won't serve you if you come up to the actual intercom a minute after the their closing time even if waiting in the line. Staff is extremely rude, ignorant, and have a whole lot of attitude. This has now happened multiple times with a car load of kids. Drive a few minutes down the street to Straw Hat in Twin Lakes where the staff is always pleasant and offer true Midwest manners. read more

My dad was terribly offended by the people working in this specific location because of his native accent, this is unacceptable and it was the worst service, the woman who was supposed to serve us was completely disrespectful towards him, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone, not only for the bad service but for how unprofessional the workers were. They were eating the products while they were suppose to be serving and the closing hours are never clear and probably manipulated by them. My family is done with this place. read more

If your looking to get actual food here you may want to keep driving and head somewhere else. 2 times in a row I have stopped here to grab dinner on my way home from work (before they closed) and both times was denied service because they "closed the kitchen early". We have lived a block away from this DQ for the last 5 years and eat here more often than I should admit. Anyway, they get our order correct about once every ten times we come. Tonight we went and they had our sundae order wrong. They fixed it, but right when we pulled away we noticed they left out the gravy for our chicken tender basket (which was also missing a piece of chicken). I went back in to get the gravy and instead of apologizing and correcting their mistake they told me they gave me ranch. They did, but we ordered both. Then they argued that I didn't order it and I needed to go back to my car to get the receipt. Finally the girl that took my order said that I ordered it and they gave it to me. I'm done with them. I will drive to Paddock Lake to get ice cream. It is one thing for the teenage employees to get the orders wrong, but the bad attitude and arguing is unacceptable. I have never seen an adult in there and I am sure if I called/emailed it would be the same screw-ups answering. It looks likes our goal of eating there less often will be easier. read more

Save your money and time drive a little farther for service and pleasant experience. I received some of the worst service I have ever experienced on 7/19/2019 at the 927 S Cogswell Drive, Silver Lake WI 53170. The girl taking the order would not listen and then a boy came on and continued the same experience. I was not done ordering and was told to pull ahead for my total. I pulled ahead and he proceeded to repeat the partial order ( I was ordering for 5 people) I stated I wasn't done with the order and he told me he didn't like my attitude. I was the one getting the attitude. Finally finished the order paid over $46 and was given the 4 of the ice cream then told to pull ahead (it was over 90 degrees out). When the order was finally brought out after 15 mins I tried to check the order and was told he was not going to stand there while I checked my order and proceeded to go back inside. I was missing 2 of the blizzards on the order and he became defensive telling me I had all of blizzards already. I had to show him the receipt and he did not turned away in a huff. I think management should develop customer service skills and pass along to paying customers that was 30 minutes of my life that I will not get back and know understand why others have expressed not wanting to go to that location and I will also be passing that along in the future. I've gone to this Dairy Queen in Silver Lake twice this week. The first time an employee smelled like marijuana, was stoned, and was too busy goofing off with his friends whom showed up at the business and were stoned. The second time I went through the drive through the orders were wrong. A Butterfinger Blizzard had no Butterfingers. A cookie dough and snickers blizzard had no snickers and the ice cream was melted by the time it was given to me at the drive through. There was also a third time I had gone through the drive through earlier in the year and the order was wrong as well. Also the majority of the time the wait time is ridiculous. Sad to say but the service at the Silver Lake Dairy Queen is poor and I won't be going there again unless their service changes. read more

I would give them 0stars if I could. We (group of 4) came to the main door at 9:55 which was locked, which hours said closing time was 10. We repeated knocked on the window but noticed the employees conversing and eating ice cream behind the counter and we waited several minutes until we were noticed. Once they did, a woman looked at us and mouthed "drive thru". After pulling up to the drive thru and deciding what to order, we pulled up behind another car. After waiting 5 minutes for the car in front of us to be served. A manager looking woman interrupted us and said they are closed at 9:30. Meanwhile another employee came out while we where at the window and told us that they close at 10. After explaining the situation and how we got there before 10, the woman showed no expression and told us to leave. We've been to this exact Dairy Queen at 11 for food I the past. Went to DQ today to get a burger, I don't go there often so i ask the gentleman on the intercom what comes on their grillburger (a term I saw on the sign, not one I made up.) He left to ask a coworker who then explained to me they do not serve grill burgers. I ask if they have any burgers there, they did. I ask what comes on the regular burger, he says "ketchup, mustard and pickle". So I order a burger without pickle and mustard as a plain burger with ketchup was my goal. After I pay I'm asked to pull into a waiting spot (which is completely fine), where i was harassed by a very drunk man (also fine, not their fault). After a bit the employee brings me a bag with several more items in it than I ordered, I recognize this isn't mine and wait for the man to come back out to swap. He then says "Oh! that's what the number on the cars are for!" Which...like...ya, that's exactly why we have these numbers on our cars lol. So, i keep patient, at this point I have my food, I drive off. Open my burger, there is mayo (which i cant have) lettuce and tomato. Damn dude. Anyway, I'm sure he was a new employee and I should let this go (which i did, i just threw the burger away and made food at home), I just wanted to make sure you guys were aware. read more

I have seriously had better. Everytime I go there, they screw up my order. There is never an adult or manager to talk to, and when you talk to the "manager", they do nothing but argue with you making it feel that it was YOUR fault for screwing up your order, not them. Went in with a large food and ice cream order to go. I understand food can take awhile but the girls behind the counter immediately began making all of the ice cream orders. So when I finally get the large food order all of the ice cream orders have already melted. And by the time I got home they were completely melted. My girlfriend and I stopped her after our cleaning jobs as a food treat twice in the last month. I love Dairy Queen turtle sundaes! I noticed that the women's bathroom sink was dark with rust and dirt! Gross...use some comet please and bleach spray! The woman who was making the sundae kept rubbing her face while taking our order and taking her glasses on and off and her fingers were so dirty! NO gloves were used in making my dessert nor were her hands washed before she made it. She was my age around 50ish??? She got my friends order wrong...my friend asked for a medium chocolate cone and got a chocolate shake???? So she was overcharged as well and my dessert size was wrong.....please make these employees wash there hands and use gloves! I felt bad for her as the ice cream machine wasn't working either...she had to make mine 4 times...but the sundae was good as usual...but health hazards abound here! read more

I have a bad experience every time I go there, so I don't know why I ever return. They always argue with me about getting ranch for my kids to dip their chicken strips in. Today I got a turkey blt with no mayo. They put mayo on, then attempted to scrap it off. I didn't bother to ask for a new one since it took five extra minutes (on top of the 15 I had previously waited for the original food) just to get the ranch. I will NEVER go here again. read more
