We were in there the other day and it's a bunch of kids working which is fine everyone needs a job. But they were acting really immature being loud flipping each other off and I just wouldn't want my staff acting like that in a place of business. We then ordered banana splits and they gave us brown mushy bad bananas and I had to ask them to remake it, they had no problem doing so but my question is why would you think that would be okay to serve to a customer.. Frustrated I drove up to the order taker to try for a fourth time and was met with her attitude. I offered to take my money elsewhere and was given the "go ahead" by your drive thru executive instead of fixing the issue. So in closing, I'm not sure how well the DQ brand is doing at the moment but I bet they aren't willing to lose customers like this by the minute. This place used to be a must and a favorite. Now and for some time the service is always questionable and time delayed messing up orders .. up to 20 min waiting in drive thru then told pull around ... I think they still haven't recovered from COVID and lack of employees, the ones that are there ... aren't very happy or energetic, blizzards hve been not full last few times and always majorly repeating a lot of order over and over the speak system needs redo or something! Childhood favorite and my kids now it's like just drive over the bridge and back to avoid it if u really want a night and day experience. Worst Dairy Queen on the planet is in Swansboro North Carolina. I have given them the benefit of the doubt for at least six months, they are slow, a minimum of 20 minutes from pulling up to order til we get our order. When you pull up to the window there are no less than three teenagers playing grab ass instead of putting or order together. They all act as though they are doing you a favor by taking your order. To look at the counters it's no wonder they have a 90.5 sanitation rating. I am absolutely astonished that the DQ corporation doesn't pull the franchise from the franchisee. So we parked and went in to order, order time was 113 Out the door time 130. They didn't give us the bread for the chicken basket. Nor the cheese for the pretzels now had to go back in. I keep trying to give this location a chance, but each time I go it's not a good experience. A month ago I came here and waited 45 minutes in line only for them to tell us at the window that they're only doing cash. Would've been nice to know before I waited so long to get to the window. And I think I've only gotten my correct order about once or twice out of the like 10-20 times I've been here. I always order a brownie batter and add Reese's. I either get just a brownie batter, or I get just a Reese's. Rarely do I get them mixed together, like I order and pay for. I had two negative visits this past week. The first was when I went through the drive through and ordered a Peanut Buster Parfait with peanut butter instead of chocolate and I did repeat my order. Simply right? When I pull up to the window they have chocolate & peanut butter on it . After repeating how I wanted it they brought me a second one that was also wrong. The third one was also wrong, but I asked them to just give me nuts in a cup so they don't have to remake it. A few days later a gave them another try. I ordered the same thing and when I saw that it barely had any peanut butter between the layers of ice cream I asked if they could put more on it and she refused. I asked for the manager and a young blonde girl with glasses came over and she was very, very rude to me and told me that's how they come and she could not put more on it. I explained how I just ordered here the other day and it was not like that and every DQ I've been to gives more. The manager refused to give me her name and said it was company policy not to give out names. I have been in management and I don't understand why a manager can't give her name out. The manager comes out, is incredibly rude and extremely unhelpful like it's my fault her employees cannot successfully work at restaurant that in most cases high schoolers excel in. I was determined that I was not leaving without my damn chili dog. It was basic principle at this point. Fast forward to 30 minutes later, the same manager comes out with a cold and sloppily made chili dog. Took forever to get our food. The chicken strips are dry and tasteless. The French fries limp and greasy. My daughter liked her grilled cheese. The hamburgers were oily but not too bad. The desserts however are vintage DQ. (I want to be fair.) My husband's Peanut Buster Parfait was excellent, he was happy with it. My son got the the Jurassic Park Smash and said it was 'awesome'.
