The restaurant is attached to a gas station. The staff assisted me right away. I sat at one of the empty tables and waited for my order. It didn't come with a lid, I had to request one. Not a big deal. Just know they are there if you need it. The dessert was delicious. It was vanilla ice cream with Oreo cookies and brownies. It was a nice size. Store had a good sanitation rating, but it wasn't super clean when I arrived. For take out, I would come back. read more

I stopped in after an eye appointment today for lunch. It was wonderful. The fries were the crispies freshest cooked fries that I've had at a fast food restaurant recently the chicken tenders were wonderful. The seven dollar value meal was an exceptional value. This dairy queen is spectacular!!!! The food is really good. They have great chicken tenders and fries. Their ranch is really delicious too. Of course, their ice cream is amazing, too. The price is really cheap for a great meal that will fill you up. The servers here are super lively and friendly. They will get you right. The place was fairly clean. There's a 99.5 Health score, so we stayed and had great Customerservice tasty food made fresh and best of all non-dairy dilly bar! Right across from the Tesla supercharger. We will be back. read more

I've always love Dairy Queen food and icecream but the one in my town closed a couple years ago. So, whenever I am in Sylva N.C. I visit the DQ there. In the past the food was excellent. It has been app. 6 months since I was last there and today the food was atrocious. I can't believe anyone would serve a customer food this bad. The meat was cold and dried out to the point the cheese didn't even begin to melt. Not only that but the cheese slice was still refrigerator cold. What a difference a few months makes. I will never eat at this DQ again. I recommend that nobody eat there unless it's for icecream which is still good. I give this restuarant a 1 start and thats generous. read more

I just wanted a large hot fudge sundae to go. I got a small medium Sunday. I asked where the nuts and whipped topping were. It was such a big deal I told them never mind. I asked for a lid and he smushed it down on the spoon into the ice cream and hot fudge. Which squirted out and got to drip hot fudge as I'm walking out. As it's dripping profusely I dropped it and it went everywhere. I've tried going here every few months hoping they get better and they are getting worse. This will be my last time to this horrible place that never gets anything right and worse, doesn't want to fix their mistakes. They act put out for doing their job. Just put in something different that has good food and hire people that want to do their job right. Is that too much to ask? read more

So long story short, I CALLED ahead of time and asked what time did they close and was told 10 pm. So great I have time. I get there at 9:40 pm and everything was shut down. Keep in mind I had just called about 20 minutes prior to that. So I called and the guy said no we are closed and literally hung up on me. So they really have no excuse. If my money doesn't come back into my account in a day or 2 I will be very ticked off. This place just gets worse and worse every time I come. Sylva recent got a spiffy new Dairy Queen in the recently remodeled Shell station. I have tried it twice. The ambiance is excellent and the staff is friendly. The quality of the food, however, is mixed. The vanilla cone dipped in chocolate was a nice reminder of my youth in south Florida. The combination of the soft ice cream mixed with the crunchy chocolate dip hits just the right notes. And the lack of actual cream in the "ice cream" makes for an afternoon snack that, while slightly watery, will not leave you feeling bloated. The chili dog I ordered on my next visit, however, disappointed. The dog in the dawg was ok, but the bun was so soggy that it was hardly edible -- I suspect from an overly long stay in a microwave. The chili was mediocre. For a better chili dog experience, try the make-it-yourself hot dog gizmo at Bob's Mini-Mart in Cullowhee. read more

went through the drive-thru to order because we saw it was open, no one answered for 5 minutes. drove up to the window and still no answer. pulled around to the front door and my boyfriend went in and an employee said the lobby was closed and to please go through the drive-thru. the employee proceeded to say oh we're closed sorry the ice cream machine is broke once we told them we went to the drive-thru. then another employee walked in after smoking and was quite snappy with his response when we asked when the machine would be working again and he said tomorrow morning. very disappointing. read more

I was recently at the drive thru at dairy Queen in sylva, NC and had ordered a hamburger. I could see the worker preparing my order. He took a hamburger patty out of a container. It was already cooked. He put it on the bun with the toppings I had ordered and placed the whole thing in the microwave. I was so disappointed that the burger I ordered was not fresh. Needless to say the burger was barely warm and very waterlogged from setting in a container of water. The lettuce and tomato was warm from being microwaved. It was not edible. I didn't go back through to let them know about the burger because I was late for an appointment. This was why I went through the drive thru in the first place. One star is too gracious. This was the absolute worst service I've ever had at any restaurant. We arrived around 9:35 pm on 10/21/20 and they did not greet us. They said "someone will be with you in a minute" and never confirmed that they were ready for our order. When we started ordering, we found out that the blender was broken, so no blizzards or milkshakes. We asked if we could get a blizzard that just wasn't blended and after a minute the worker said "Uh, he said that's fine". We get to the window and have to wait about another five minutes just to pay while three separate coworkers glared into our car and nobody offered to come to the window. There was one worker without a mask, one with long hair that wasn't tied back, and not a single one had a name tag on. Once we had paid, we didn't get a receipt. They started handing out orders and I had a question about one of the banana splits and they said they didn't get one banana split on the order, which was the first thing we ordered. They ring that one up and I pay for it, still no receipt. When they open the window again, I asked for the receipts so everyone could know how how much to pay me. It was then that a worker walked over to the other end of the store and dug both of them out of the trashcan and didn't even change his gloves after, as if digging in the trash for my receipt wasn't bad enough, he still had to hand out the rest of our order with a trash glove. They gave us no lids for our drive through orders so they melted everywhere while we waited and made a mess and made a mess on the people in the car. They gave us no napkins and they gave us a spoon that was way too small for the food. There also wasn't a bag for our six orders. On top of that, they nearly forgot one of the orders. read more

Used to be my favorite place for a quick, but quality burger and fries. Today, however, the fries tasted like the oil was old, and the burger, much to my surprise when I got to work five miles away, was not a burger, but two little friend chicken things in a wrap. Needless to say, I was hungry and too far to go back, so I ate it. But it was far from satisfying. Next time I will just go to Burger King, which is closer to campus anyway. read more

Im trying to find the dairy queen in maryville tn so they can see this post . Stopped to get some fast dinner and im so grossed out. The food was nasty and the girl in the drive thru was rude . My chicken strips were cold so was the gravy dipping sauce and my husbands hamburger was hard . The only thing good was the smoothies my husband got. Never getting food there again read more
