We went to DQ because the ice cream shop we were going to closed and I saw DQ and asked if we could try it. Ok sorry for the yap fest. I got a medium for only $6 it was more of a large though! And yeah I'm not just a kid exaggerating. It was huge. They also were about to throw away a bunch of broken ice cream cones and I love sugar ice cream cones so they let me have them. I mix them in with my ice cream afterwards in a bowl pretty much a whole new flavor. It was so much that I couldn't finish it. Somehow took 20 minutes to make a blizzard, than when I asked for my desert the woman working didn't believe my name was Bobert so I showed her the receipt, proceeded to take 5 more minutes to make a blizzard. Insane prices for "fast food" DO NOT recommend service was awful, ice cream tasted like every other fast food and I observed a family get their order messed up.do better whoever the manager is needs to fire all the employees and do some self reflection. read more

The cashier inside was very friendly and greeted us warmly and did a great job taking our order! Not only that but they got out our order very quickly! The inside of the building was very cool and relaxing and the seating was limited, but comfortable. The food was warm, well cooked, and delicious! The sundae was also very cool soft and tasty! It was all very tasty and filling, not only that but the price was very good as well! This was a very pleasant place to eat at after a busy day on a short day trip! Truly fix the damn microphone and speaker. Your damn employees can't hear the customers at the drive-through. It makes the whole experience absolutely horrible for everyone. My friend and I tried to order today at the drive though and had to repeat ourselves about 5 times each. Eventually the employee gave up and told us to order at the window. And when we did, the employee who took over was so rude, and was acting like a total bitch. Went through the drive thru and noticed the fryer was down sign so you could not order anything fried then asked for a diet soda they were out only has Coke Zero so we ordered a small blizzard and a medium water , got to the window and waited no less than 10 mins for the girl to come to the window with only the SMALL blizzard and was told it would be $12.39 I'm like really she said yup we left with out any idems that's one hell of a mark up no thank you !! When ordering through the drive through, communication seemed very unclear even tho I order a blizzard and clarified a few times. At checkout I was given a sundae so I politely asked for the blizzard. Mike (the employee handling it) seemed to have some attitude with this. He flipped the blizzard down but kept it down instead of turning it up to hand to me. He barely attempted to hand it to me and let the blizzard fall onto my hand. Things that went well was that I did not know which flavor to choose. The nice cashier had a big smile and gave a sample of a best selling "blizzard" ice cream. The sample was... large. It was half of a regular cup. When I saw her making me a sample, I felt bad because she was making me a sample with hard work I thought I didn't like it. But the food was soooo tasty. Love this place! I've always been a fan of the soft serve dip cone. Last weekend we were going crazy in the house so we decided to do a drive over to Truckee and Tahoe City. It was so beautiful and a ton of snow! I sometimes forget how much more snow they get over there. I've been going to this D.Q. since I was a little girl. This was the closest place to my childhood home. There isn't one in Reno; so we decided to get a cone before our hike. We all got the vanilla with chocolate dip! The best. I love the soft serve because it's actually milk instead of cream which always is a good thing! I'm also a big fan of the Oreo Blizzard too. I cannot speak to the other food items they have like hamburgers and fries ; I've haven't tried them yet. I will be back! Major yummy! read more

I asked for a sugar cookie blizzard and it came out with peppermint - I asked if there was supposed to be any in this blizzard and the server said yes. I went home and double checked the menu - not only did he lie, but there is only peppermint in this blizzard, no sugar cookie or sprinkles. I also ordered fries with ranch. When I got to the window I asked if ranch was in the bag, he smiled and said "yes, everything you ordered is in there!". Got home and checked - he lied AGAIN. This was so frustrating as I called out both of these issues at the window and he lied to my face. I've been going to DQ since I was a kid and this will be my last time going. I'm so disappointed in the service and this franchise, especially the Truckee store. read more

I purchased an ice cream take and asked what flavor it was and whether or not it contained nuts. My son has a severe peanuts and tree nuts allergy. The guy behind the counter said it did not contain nuts and was a plain vanilla ice cream cake. When we took it back and cut into it, it had Reeces peanut butter chunks inside of it. I have pretty much given up on this location. This is not first time problems have arose. 1. Their wait time is horrible. 10-15 minutes in drive-thru every time we go. 2. They in the past love to close early even though online hours and their door are posted differently. 3 Every time we go something is wrong. This recent visit was that I ordered the bbq tenders and when I got home to no surprise they gave me regular. Not to mention I specifically stressed no mustard on my husband sandwich and they still put it on there and so he ended up not eating it. Not worth driving back since you would have to wait all over again. I feel as if this location needs a huge upgrade regarding their operations. What we received was the poorest excuse for a hot fudge Sunday with 10 peanuts.. yes 10 peanuts!..and a blizzard with butterfingers. It was $9.30 for both- we gave her $10.00 and she said it wasn't enough. Can't figure that one out. They were not busy- one car behind us.. so there is NO excuse.
