As you. Can see all grocery store ingredients

I really wanted to give this place a chance, but this has to be the worst burger place in Nevada, The taste was horrible. The food was overcooked and from a grocery store nothing is homemade

Um i think its safe to say they are known for their burgers. We order a to go order : onion rings, fish n chips, rack of ribs. We picked up the order came to our air b n b just to see we were missing the fish n chips. We got the fish and chips and well they look like the ribs (over cooked and dried, like they just refried the order). Food was not worth it despite the reviews :(.

We come up to Lake Tahoe every year or so, and one the 'must eats' is Char-Pit. I usually go for the Char Burger or The Cheeseburger (really good burgers, generous portion sizes). Their fries are really good, the seasoning they use is tasty, also they're great dipping them in a side of their ranch.

Stopped here after traveling from Carson City and decided to give this establishment a try. It's definitely one of your hole in the wall burger joints with potential. Staff were warm and welcoming and the prices were about average for what you'd pay for a burger and fries these days. The food though? Ehh, I order the mexi burger which came with a single patty, single cheese and a green chile (I added bacon). I also ordered a side of onion rings. I honestly thought the burger had potential but the one thing that disappointed me was how dry the hamburger patty was and it lacked flavor. Onion rings were "onion rings" but I will say that I did love the ranch.

Back for more delicious Char Pit! Best burgers in Kings Beach. Delicious fries always hot and crispy and the chicken sandwich is fantastic! Excellent and friendly service always from Alex! Thank you my friend!

This place is a little hole in the wall and the burgers were good. You can definitely taste the char, but they are on the expensive side. The bun was a tad too big for the amount of meat. I would recommend getting a double to have a good bun to meat ratio. Definitely has a small town feel, and the staff were all very kind.

service all standing around even owner without saying hi or are you ready to order. I have been coming to char pitt for couple years and if you notice in there photo the size of fries. Since summer has come the owner has decided to cut fries more than half and take up price. Cheep Cheep cutting costs wrong. Locals notice. not going back. Ranch dressing is watered down , So is fountain drinks. and all this for 23.00

This is one of these hole in the wall burger joints. This place had been around forever and we came in with minimal expectations as daughter really wanted a burger . We got the cheeseburger that was ok . Nothing too fancy , pretty basic . A tad better than in-and-out

We have eaten here several times over the past year and I was looking forward to a great burger, but left feeling disappointed. Not sure when it happened, but they seem to have replaced the patties with a Sysco-based option as it was small, and tasteless, even with a mound of mushrooms and cheese on top. The redeeming part of the meal was the onion rings, they were delicious. I just wish the burger was better. I hope this was just a bad turn, but we won't be rushing back anytime soon.

What are the operating hours? I drove there today and it was closed. It's almost an hour away from me but didn't care; it's totally worth it. But gas is kinda expensive $5.08 per gallon 😩

    Do they allow dogs outside?

    Yes

Do you do lettuce wraps instead of buns?

I do a bed of lettuce, but not a wrap

Is their veggie burger vegan (without the cheese and sour cream)?

Yes if you take the cheese and sour cream off. Another is the Portabella mushroom sandwich. If you take of the cheese and sour cream. There is honey in the chipotle sauce. If your ok with that

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. We found a lot of street parking a few minutes away and walked over, also took a walk on the lake beach right behind it which was super pretty

Ahi Napolean was the highlight with the BBQ/Spicy prawns coming in a close second. My wife had the Rack of Lamb which she enjoyed and I got to sneak a couple of bites...tender tasty. My friend's son had the Grilled Ribeye which was massive and oozing with juice. The Finale! Dessert is never an option with my Sicilian taste buds so Tiramisu and Pistachio Cheese Cake sedated and cleansed our palates! The overall dining experience was good as we sat outside on the patio with a perfect evening and no bugs in site! However, my current opinion stands as mediocre at best. Ambience is cozy and old-school, borderline needing a deep clean. I ordered the Lumaconi, it tasted fine. But one of the problems with this restaurant is how the food is plated and presented. You can see from most pictures that it lacks visual appeal. My sister ordered the lasagna. It was interesting that the meat inside was a sliced meatball. I don't know what to say about that. Lastly, my niece ordered Angel hair pasta. I would venture to guess that they boiled a whole box and dumped that same portion into her bowl. Way too much pasta and lacking balance with the few scattered tomatoes and protein, of what looked to be a boiled chicken breast. Wishing we could have visited here in its prime. If you visit, you definitely won't be dazzled, but it's possible that you might not be disappointed.
