It has been a long time since I have been to a Dairy Queen. I saw an ad for a crunchy cookie Oreo soft serve cone and I liked the color and the thought of the taste so much that I decided to get it. My initial app purchase came with a coupon for a free shake . So I got a small size special creamsicle milkshake. I could sense how artificial the food was but that it was still flavorful and fun to eat. I am glad I don't come here too often personally and I am not a fan of their fast food unless its quality has changed significantly. Friendly service with people always willing to accommodate a request when possible. Dairy Queen has been kind of a staple of my life since childhood and I'm glad to have finally moved to a town that has one. I do sometimes wish chocolate soft serve was available, but when you're craving that Dairy Queen vanilla nothing else will do. Great hours, as well, as this one is open late-iIsh in the summer and is open all year (with good hours.) Ambience: and even though the lines can sometimes be crazy, it can be nice to go when it is a bit crowded just to enjoy the chatter of excited children or people who just left a performance at the Upper Darby performing arts center. read more

I ordered a cake online to be ready at 2pm. I called to confirm before coming and to check if a personal message can be written on it. The employee who answered the phone said they could but not until 4pm. So Ok, got in line at 4pm. Cake was ready but cake looks plain as heck. The person who could write on the cake was not there. No time to complain since folks are waiting for me to get this birthday cake home for a party. While in the car, my daughter goes, "I feel like something is missing on this cake". If I could rate it 0 I would , I went in asking for an item to be customized. It was dead there literally no customers, and the one girl immediately shut me down saying we don't have those about 7 times. Speaking over me while I was trying to explain what I wanted. the girl working with her had the biggest attitude I've ever encountered. Her attitude was appalling. Regular old DQ! If that's what your into, then GO! My bones enjoyes their cones and I love my blizzards. Not a fan of the slushies and extra stuff, but enjoy DQ as a special treat. It can get crowded at times. read more

First came here in late 60s . Then it was a stop at lunchtime in HS in the late 70s and in the rollicking 80s. Everything is the same except it has a much needed facelift and the signage is bright. This DQ used to be good but apparently not anymore with the new manager if that's what she actually is. She was the rudest person I've encountered at any business in Delco other than Walmart. She obviously had an attitude, slowly came to window, no eye contact, grumpy look, turned around looked at her watch, walked away without anything else to do, finally came back but failed to greet, smile, or make eye contact. After I ordered I asked if they did military discount, which they have for the 15 years I've gone there. She looked stumped and said she didn't think so. I asked her to ask the employee in the back and she said that that person doesn't know. Took a long time to make the blizzards and paused mid way to clean something. I've gone to this location a handful of times and never an issue until recently. My last visit I decided to order a pineapple sundae (first time I've ordered a sundae from DQ) It was awful. Instead of using crushed pineapple mine had tidbits. I thought it was weird but after the first bite I knew I made a mistake to order the sundae. Dude. It's Dairy Queen. Need I say more? If you haven't been to a dairy queen in your life, you must have been living in a remote island cave or something. Or you're lactose intolerant. Either one seems plausible. This one is the same as all the rest. Blizzards are delicious until you get home and poop your brains out. I do have one minor beef with this particular spot. The lines are unorganized and a lot of people cut. I guess I can't totally fault my beloved DQ for that, but more-so the delco trash that frequent places like Dairy Queen and are so much in need of their blizzard fix that they need to cut in line. This is a Dairy Queen lite store (minus burgers, fries, etc). They primarily serve desserts, though you can buy a few other items. Service is usually efficient even when you have the longer summer lines. Actually, I have been here in all seasons and had to wait in lines! It's a popular location--mostly because of where it's situated in my opinion (near two high schools and residential areas). A big pet peeve of mine is hair. I ordered a basic Reese's blizzard, and good thing I looked before I dug in. Low and behold, a curly strand of hair was right on top. I was so disgusted. I went back, and they were kind enough to make a new one. After analyzing the top we'll, I started eating and even did a happy dance. Mid was through, another fricking hair! Stopped by last evening for a cone and the soft serve was barely able to stand on the cone. It was a sloppy mess. I like the taste and convenience of being able to go retrieve a Ice Cream Cake. But unfortunately the young lady who writes on the cakes is not accommodating and her handwriting is Horrible to display for an event. I ate a chili cheese dog, actually just part of one, from here for the first time today, BIG MISTAKE! The taste and texture of the hotdog seemed raw and it made me nauseous so I'll stick to the blizzards which are good. Today was rainy and cold out and there was a line of about 10 people with only 1 lady working. There was another person there in the back just not waiting on customers. I go to this DQ basically everytime I pass by. From previous visits with this DQ, I think the crews from this store are quite friendly, and provide "cant complain" service. For most of time, there are young teenage part timing in the store; and they are very energetic. Today, the image of this was ruined. It was rainning hard. I thought there might not be anyone in the line to get some ice cream from DQ, so I drove by and got three Blizzard on Waffle Cones. I could not believe myself when I got my Waffle Cone. The Waffle Cone were desaster on the first look, especially the banana split, it was melting; I asked the girl, that passing the cones to me, why the ice cream was melting; and she said that it was banana split, it was made this way. Not to mention, there was a lady before me and who purchased a smoothie, came back 30 second after she left the store, and complaining about why the smoothie does not taste like usual.
