It was Sunday night dinner rush, L get it, but I waited by the door long enough to wonder whether anyone was going to notice me. But it was worth the wait. For a place that comes off as a bar, the meal they served me checked all the boxes -- oysters from the raw bar first, then a tender New York strip, with a generous side of Jack Daniels. Everything was perfect. Our server Jake was a real pro, the best. You could tell they were all a great team. When a drink I ordered appeared on the bar but had not yet been delivered, someone stepped up and brought it to me. Service! Something that surprised me. Though I was totally into my dinner, looking around, it struck me that the place looked exceptionally clean. I mean, excceptional, something they should be proud of.
