So this was a thirty minute drive for us and I think the puppy chow sundae is worth it. The peanut butter sauce is so delicious and the chocolate sauce is good too. They make the puppy chow themselves so that was a huge plus for me. I wish this was always a special. We also got bacon cheeseburgers. They have single or doubles. The works comes with ketchup mustard and pickles. You have to pay .30 for lettuce and tomato. I personally wasn't a fan of the mustard. It tasted too much like horseradish. My bf loved it though! We thought the burgers themselves could use a little seasoning. The person taking our order was kind and they give you a number to get ur food that they call out. It didn't take too much time. My review is rather limited, but I am so glad we had the chance to try LeDuc's at The Stone Bank Farm. We were at the Night on the Farm evening and found the Ice Cream Sandwich inside the store. OMG, it was so good! It was solidly frozen, so we let it sit for a few minutes and then broke it up and ate the cookie and custard chunks with a spoon. As large as it was, we ate it all in one sitting. The next time we are near Wales we will make a point of stopping in and trying more offerings. read more

We love Wi custard and we were excited to try a new place while visiting family in the area. It was...okay. Burgers were frozen patties fried up and tasted that way. Custard had a powdery not mixed well texture - and this was the five of us all trying each others. I couldn't finish my shake or burger. Lines were long, staff was friendly - clearly this is a popular local spot. Maybe it's the best local option, but if you're in search of good WI custard... I have not had a chance to have custard before but on this summer vacation that got corrected. We were visiting some friends in WI and I was told this is the best Custard place in the area and I can see why. I drove up and could barely find a parking spot, this place was packed on a Thursday night. We had orders to fill for 7 and I decided to order the PB Cup Sundae and for my custard I ordered a special flavor they had that day, Chocoholic. What a great combination if you like Chocolate and Peanut Butter. The Custard was delicious, creamy, it reminds me of ice cream but better. They did not skimp on any mix ins or ingredients, I got chocolate and peanut butter in every bite. The only problem is that it was gone too soon and I couldn't go back to get another one. Everyone else had already had it before, and they loved it to, but for me it was a wonderful treat and now I am hooked on Custard. read more

I was in the area for a car show that was selling pathetic looking $5 burgers which looked just a burger on a bun with no fresh toppings so I looked on yelp to see what was around and I found this place. This is your typical Wisconsin custard stand that's open year round that you place your order at one window and move down to the next window for pick up. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles with cheddar cheese. When I picked up the bag it had some heft to it and when I opened it I could feel the cold fresh toppings through the wrapper. The bacon cheeseburger looked really good was my first thought. This was a big cheeseburger with a thick 1/3 pound patty cooked to well. The cheeseburger was pretty good and I like the contrast of the cold toppings vs the warm cooked beef. The toppings were fresh and the bun was soft/fresh also with a decent bacon flavor that stood up to the other flavors and played well with them. This was way better than than the pathetic looking car show burger I saw and a great choice. For a Wisconsin custard stand they take the burger very seriously with top quality ingredients that is noticeable and one of the better custard stand burgers that I have had. read more

Awesome little custard stand! My kids love this place, and all they get is a regular vanilla or chocolate cone. There are endless choices for sundaes and shakes. There is also a small food menu, which I've never tried. Small amount of seating inside the place, but most are drawn to it in the summer and sit or stand outside. As a self proclaimed frozen custard connoisseur, I am pretty disappointed in myself that I have never been to LeDuc's in Wales. Now that this oversight has been corrected, I am a huge fan. Their custard is so creamy and fluffy. Yes, you read that right, fluffy. Sometimes I think I'm eating whipped cream instead of custard, it's that fluffy. I am in love with the taste and texture of their custard. We've only had malts and shakes so far. They are very thick and delicious with many flavors to choose from. I intend to try more items on the custard menu like a flavor of the day or a sundae. They also make custard pies for special occasions, yum! In addition to the custard I tried their burger which was pretty tasty. Thick and greasy just how you'd want your custard stand burger. The fries were also pretty good. Best custard I've ever tasted service is the best outside, ordering in seating and inside ordering some seating, depending on the perfect weather or bad weather, you can get your own waters there and eat dinner there is pictures on the wall of ice cream is there used to be pictures of kids eating their ice cream but they changed it you can get like a huge thing of cookie dough you will always have an awesome time. This located near Delafield just outside of Pewaukee. The decor was an American style custard stand. It was very clean inside. Right now, there popular sundae's are the cookie dough bowl. It has a layer of cookie dough on the outside w/ custard and a topping on the inside. The other popular one is the custard puff sundae. It has has a cream puff in the sundae. They also have 3 custard flavors each each day. They have vanilla, chocolate, and a flavor of the day. I had a bacon cheeseburger. It had pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, & pickles. For my side dishes I had deep fried Wisconsin cheese curds and chicken w/ spaetzle dumplings soup. My Dad had a brat w/ ketchup on it. My bacon cheeseburger was nicely juicy and grilled on the inside. It was a very giant burger. I thought my cheese-curds were crispy and mouth watering. My chicken spaetzle soup was very warm and tempting. My Dad thought his brat was very appetizing. My servers name was Molly. She was very nice and friendly. I would recommend going here sometime because they also have tables outside of the restaurant you could sit at in the summertime or when it is warm outside. They have tables and booths inside also. This place really hit the spot after a day of swimming on a summer day. While it says frozen custard, there is much more. I had the battered cod fillet sandwich, and the burgers had by my family were all delicious, juicy, and flavorful. The fries were top notch (better than my favorite fast food fries). The cheese curds were a little on the overcooked side, but still very satisfying. Kids got a quick custard in a waffle cone to make them happy. Then I ordered myself a peanut butter cup sundae, not realizing how HUGE the one size sundaes are! Enough for 6 people. Seriously. Don't order it alone. Unless it's your meal. . After discovering I passed my NCLEX, my family had no problem in using that as a motive to get ice cream. Since we also had to drive closer to Milwaukee to pick up my nieces and nephews from school, we were that much closer to renown, established custard stands. Best frozen custard west of Leon's! I've been a fan of LeDuc's for years. When I lived in Waukesha, there was nothing better than digging the Model A out of the garage and making a leisurely pilgrimage to Wales for a treat at LeDuc's. My usual fare is a simple raspberry sundae, the custard is as smooth and creamy as anyone could expect and the raspberries are always fresh. Another favorite is their special Custard Puff - imagine, a State Fair Cream Puff that, instead of whipped cream, is filled with LeDuc's frozen custard! I always feel completely stuffed after a Custard Puff! An addition was made to the building a couple of years ago, so LeDuc's now has an indoor dining room (custard all winter!) and rest rooms. The price was the loss of a couple of valuable parking places but worth the cost. LeDuc's is just east of Wisconsin 83 on US 18, about 3 miles south of I-94, and well worth the short drive! read more
