Went to Culver's on Saturday, February 28th for dinner with my husband. We each ordered a cheese burger meal and took home a pint of Chocolate caramel custard. There are a lot of what you would call fast food restaurants out there(i.e. Mickey D's, Burger King,etc) and then their are fast casual ones like Applebee's and Chili's,and there is the best of both worlds with Culver's.We stopped in on a Saturday night after the Airport and we're hungry.We wanted something something good,but a notch above,so we settled on Culver's by our house.We were warmly greeted/welcomed and chose from a wide array of options.The special thing I really like is their burgers always taste fresher than the competition (even Wendy's) and they still get it out(to order) in a jiffy.The Onion rings were battered(my favorite way) and crunchy and and yummy as was my Butter Burger! We also splurged on some custard to go.They just do it differently at Culver's and it shows,no short cuts! We are spoiled with them in Wisconsin and lucky to have them call Wisconsin home.The rest of the country should be so lucky to have them,give it time, they're growing like crazy and soon you'll be able to enjoy them too!! read more

I know this is not the sales clerk fault. My gripe is with the Culver's corporate that sends out lures to sign up and get a 25% discount, and then does not keep frontline clerks in the loop. The Swiss butterburger I had was okay but it was kinda lacking compared to other culver burgers I've had before. I was slightly annoyed when I went through the drive through and other cars in the other lane were getting their orders handled more swiftly but I was kept waiting at the kiosk for 5 minutes. I'm not really sure what was going on but it mildly annoyed me when someone else couldn't just take my order. The staff were friendly but for the price of the food, I was a little displeased by how overcooked my burger tasted. I also was expecting more cheese. read more

I stopped here for lunch today because I have only eaten at Culver's a few times in my life so obviously it's not my favorite burger chain and I wanted to reacquaint my self with a cheeseburger. This is your typical custard restaurant with sandwiches, sides and cold sweet treats. They are known for the smash butter burgers so that's what I would order. Obviously I don't eat here a lot because I didn't know that the cheeseburger comes with no toppings and you have to request what you want for toppings so I opted for lettuce, onion, pickles, ketchup and mayo. I ordered a double fearing that a single would be small. To my surprise the burger comes in a box and a half wrap inside to hold it together. My cheeseburger looked ok and I noticed that the toppings are on the bottom. Everything was fresh and my cheeseburger was good but the red onions were very strong which over powered the other ingredients. overall it's not a bad chain cheeseburger but it's not one I care for taste wise in the chain burger world but I'm sure I will have one in the futur. read more

Unlike other Culver's in the area, this one gets the sizes right when it comes to the custard. Our sundaes were actually 2 scoops plus the toppings were ample. The flavor of the day was also 2 scoops and seemed appropriately full. Thank you for being a great custard place that doesn't skimp on the primary product you're shelling out. The staff was also cheery and quick to get the custard out to me. Didn't even have to wait in a spot or anything. Definitely recommend if you're up for some good custard! read more

Ok, I really like Culver's in the Midwest! I've loved their fish sandwich, but when we drove thru here recently I was feeling like a burger... the butterburger. Culver's is best in the mid-west. Fast food, cooked to order. The burger I ordered was very tasty although the meat was cooked more than I like, almost burned. Drive-through was efficient. Decided to stop by the drive-thru today to grab a bite after a long shift. When I get to the speaker, I'm told what the flavor of day is with a sigh... okay I get it we're ALL tired after a long day of work. Fine. When I get to the window to pay for my order, this white short pudgy white man with blue eyes hands me my order. I notice he only gave me my card but not a receipt. No biggie. I am only giving this location a 2 because Culver's food is Culver's food for the most part. The burgers, chicken tenders and fries are generally the same at each location. However, the quality and service at this particular location has seemed to plummet lately. A few weeks ago, my family went and I got some weird hard end of a pickle in my burger. I didn't think much about it but my mom didn't get any so I'm assuming they were out. No biggie though. The frustrating part was that we then tried to get our scoops of ice cream. We ordered and nearly 20 minutes later we still didn't have our ice cream. I went up to the front and someone else was having the same issue. Apparently they were making more custard but hadn't thought to tell us that when we ordered. We complained because it was clear they were just jot prepared for business in general and were given a few free scoop tokens. Now today, my husband and I went back to use those tokens. When we entered we were greeted with a sign saying they were closing early tonight (I'm assuming understaffed) and someone was already complaining in line about waiting 20 minutes for their food. The manager did not seem concerned at all that the customer was upset. We ordered our scoop of custard to go and the cup barely had a full scoop and it was nearly melted. I don't know what's going on with this location, but I think changes need to happen because I know now we will not be going to that location. read more

I don't understand why I couldn't post or Message on that location's* FB page; all I could do was Check In. *1672 South 108 Street, West Allis WI. I used an old free scoop coupon yesterday and got a vanilla cone. The young man at the counter was very pleasant. We laughed about my finally getting around to using such an old coupon. As I ate the cone, I thought it had the most peculiar taste and texture. I can't explain it. I also became aware of a substance accumulating on the roof of my mouth. Was it shortening or lard?? Culvers is always good for it's burgers and fries. The food always delivers, as long as it is what you asked for / ordered. This location let us down last weekend when we stopped in before heading to the zoo. It was like the girl at the register wasn't paying attention to a word we said. My wife ordered a cheeseburger basket with the works minus onions as she is allergic to them. Her burger arrived with no onions like she asked, but also was missing lettuce and tomato (the works should include both). My son wanted a double cheeseburger with just ketchup on it. His arrived with mustard on it as well. He didn't mind, but what if he couldn't have mustard? Why would they just put something on that wasn't asked for? When I ordered my double cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, mayo, and fried onions the girl entered it as light onions in the register. Luckily we caught that right away so she could change it to fried onions. Once the food was corrected everything tasted great. It just shouldn't have to be this difficult to order what you want. My husband and I came here to get ice cream / custard. There was no one in line so we were able to order quickly. We had to wait a little bit for our order which was okay because we weren't in a rush. While we were waiting there were two ladies (employees) chatting about random stuff in the lives (loud enough for me to hear every word and I wasn't even standing by the counter) and leaning on the counter behind the registers. Usually I wouldn't care too much about that but there was clearly work they could have been doing instead of chatting. Then to top it off, my concrete mixer wasn't 100% correct. Probably the worst culvers I've been to yet. I decided to stop by on a Friday night around 8 or 9 PM for a scoop of the flavor of the day. Since there was hardly anyone there I decided to go through the drive through thinking it would be quick. The customer in front of us recieved 2 waffle cones shortly after they paid and drove off. I ordered one scoop of the flavor of the day which was brownie thunder or something like that. I paid and then was given a number and told to pull ahead. Seriously? Its one scoop of icecream! I waited for about 4-5 minutes and started to get upset, there were hardly any customers in the building. The time it takes to get the number is the same time it takes to scoop a single dish. And not to mention that brownie fudgy caramel flavor was one scoop of vanilla with 3 pieces of brownies on top. So disappointing. Will not be back! read more

I had ordered a single scoop of the flavor of the day but I didn't get it when I got the rest of the food. When I went up with the receipt and informed the staff that I would like the custard that I had ordered and showed them the receipt, they asked me if I took the survey to get the custard. This was my first visit to this particular Culvers location. We stopped there for lunch after my daughter had to get three unexpected shots. As far as the location goes, it was an above average Culvers. It seemed to be on the newer side. I vaguely remember when it was built, less then five years ago, I am guessing. For better or for worse there are multiple flat screen TVs, some that play children's programs. My daughter recognized the program right away and since she had just gotten three shots she was left to watch the TV. as she ate. :) I found the staff particularly helpful and friendly. I felt bad for the staff. This was management putting new kids in a impossible situation to succeed. I was there to order ice cream only. Simple order. While I was there for 10 minutes I saw 1 staff quit. 2 customers ask for refunds when they saw spilled food tried to get repacked and served. Average wait time for food was in the 30 min range inside the restaurant based on what people were saying while getting flustered. I ordered a root beer float and a single scoop cone and they got my order wrong. Ordered flavor of the day, got vanilla. I didn't complain, just got my order and left. Ice cream sat on the table and just turned to soup while food runners waited. Sad thing is that it was still served. Don't put your staff in a position to fail.
