Stopped by for a Blizzard and dipped cone around dinner time. Ordered a drumstick blizzard which was their featured flavor. They were out. Got a different flavor and the wife ordered her dipped cone. We got to the window and was told they couldn't do the dipped cone because their machine was cleaning. I watched two cars in front of us get ice cream including dipped cones and they had my Blizzard made. Why no ice cream and how are you out of the flavor of the month on the 10th day. Management treats employees horribly. Service is lacking and business is ran by children. Cheap labor and abuse for kid labor that doesn't know any better. This location seems to be out of a lot of stuff and worker seems to be over his job. They also add extra $$$ for certain items.

This USED to be my favorite dessert spot when I found myself in the Aliante. However, in the last few months, the new workers there are always on a "break". The break sign is taped up to the register in a way that really suggests they've been gone for a while and won't return soon. I really want to enjoy this DQ location again and I certainly hope Aliante management puts the necessary fixes in place so that quality service resumes. read more

Had a great experience and thanks to the staff for making it happen as members of the team were very patient in their menu recommendations and consistently checked up on my son and I when we were dining in. I asked if this was the norm at DQ and their response was they enjoy exceeding our expectations when they can. Yet another example of I should have read the reviews first. There's only kids working there. We just left there. I mean I am not young at all. The malt was very runny. I said why is this so runny, she says it's the malt powder (lie). It's not my first malt! She says well maybe I put too much milk. Do u want me to add more ice cream? Uh . (I want if you don't do it right to just handle it before you bring it to me, not act like I won't notice) So she does with an attitude. I haven't had a Strawberry Julius in years and stopped by the Aliante Station Casino today because they mailed me a bunch of free $15 bet coupons. The Orange Julius is also a Dairy Queen and is located in the food court of the Aliante Station Casino. I looked over the menu and noticed that they had a hot dog/chips/drink combo. I asked if I could have a Strawberry Julius as my drink. The girl behind the counter said that was only a Dairy Queen Combo and I couldn't sub the drink. I guess I'm not getting a hot dog then...Next I looked at the prices and notice it was $4.79 for a medium julius. I remember it was only $2 in California. The large Original Orange Julius I ordered had a quite visible line of separation between the orange juice and the frothy effect desired in an Orange Julius, and was not very cold. In fact, this was was one of the first times I did not get an ice cream headache drinking an Orange Julius too fast. The large Butterscotch Dipped Cone I ordered was satisfying but looked like the leaning tower of Pisa, and did not project a strong butterscotch flavor. It was 3:50pm and I hadn't eaten anything since 8am so I needed something to suppress my appetite until dinner without spoiling it. A smoothie from Orange Julius fit the bill. I got the premium fruit smoothie blend, strawberry and banana flavor. According to the sign, it's made with real fruit and low fat yogurt. I was pleasantly surprised with what I got. I don't know if it was because I was starvin marvin at the time and would have been satisfied with anything, but that smoothie really hit the spot. I recommend the premium fruit smoothies, as I don't know if the other blends use real fruit. There are 8 different flavors. Try the strawberry banana if you don't know what else to get. So if you are wondering why it takes so long to get thru the drive thru here it's because the whole place is run by teenagers that are to busy fooling around on their phones, arguing with each other and pretty much standing around doing nothing. And it amazes me that kids today have such a problem trying to figure out how to give back correct change. As others have noted, this place always seems to have just one employee overwhelmed by the job. I've never seen a line of more than three people, even those waiting for food. I can't rate the food because we never got service. We arrived at 8:20 pm, there was a sign at the register that said "will return momentarily." Honestly worst visit I have ever been to. I was sitting in the car with my fiancée and her family for over 35 minutes until we ordered, then another 20 minutes until we got to the window. Fine I get they might have been swamped. But when we finally get to the window a guy opens the window and the first thing he said was, "you have to leave." We we're confused and asked what he meant. He then continues to say that someone in our car coughed so they can't serve us??? No one in the car coughed and even if we did, the windows were up the whole time from the moment we ordered to the moment we got to the window. We were refused service because they made an assumption that somebody in the car coughed and that means CORONAVIRUS. Dairy Queen: Queen of queens of dairy. Coming here always takes me to my happy place. When I was a fat kid, I was often denied chocolate dipped cones from DQ by the parentals. Whatever, look at me now. I can get one whenever I want one. Pfft. I don't like complications, so I typically order a small or medium cone. If I wanna live a little, I'll get the dipped cones and sometimes an Oreo Blizzard. ALL. BOMB. One of the girls who works there always swirls the ice cream really high. I don't know how she does it. Talent and a lot of practice and spilled cones, I guess. Staff's never been a pain in the ass, unlike some of their neighbors in food court row.
