Casa El Desayuno has become one of my favorite Mexican breakfast spots! I've been about 4 times now and keep telling myself I'm going to try something new, but everything I already love is too good! The pancake flight is a MUST. I get the fresas con crema, lechera, and very berry pancakes and they're amazing every time. I also love the mimosa flight with strawberry, watermelon, mango, and orange. Their michelada deserves a mention too because the beer to mix ratio is perfect. The red chilaquiles are another favorite and probably the main reason I can't branch out on the menu lol. My husband got the California burrito with fries and I tried some it was delicious without being super greasy or messy like a typical burrito shop burrito. We visited on Friday, with 2 adults and one toddler, for brunch and it was a very nice experience. We arrived and were seated right away in a booth. The dining area is quite large, and for some reason the acoustics make it very LOUD. The waitress stopped by and took our order. Their mini mimosa sampler was excellent. We ordered the Asada Omelet, Meat Plate, and kid's Chicken & Waffles. Everything was well prepared and cooked to order. The food was fresh and delicious. Yesterday morning my mother and I decided to go for a "Just the girls" breakfast, but were undecided as to where to go. Having had a good experience the first time we tried this place, she threw it out there. Looking at the clock, I knew there was going to be a wait. Sunday? After 10am? Yeaaaah everywhere was going to be madness. I called, and spoke with a woman who was obviously busy, but pleasant. She took my name and number and said she would add us to the list and the wait time was about 20 minutes which was perfect timing for our arrival. I hadn't anticipated that she would do that as most places do not - especially at peak times like this. Upon arrival, there were TONS of people waiting. Everyone looked pleasant though which was a great sign. Unfortunately, the person on the phone did not add us to the list, but after talking with the hostess about the situation, she was gracious enough to get us a table within 5 minutes. It's definitely organized confusion at this place, but in the hustle and bustle, everyone was smiling. Our server, Nayeli was AMAZING! She approached the table with a huge smile and a warm and inviting attitude and kept it during our entire meal (even when I had a small issue with my pancakes). She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and volleyed with us over our choices which was nice. Food is always good (I frequent this place even via online ordering delivery). The pancakes - even without all the wonderful extras they offer are delicious and fluffy - always. My favorite are the frescas con crema (strawberry and cream) pancakes. I've also tried the mazapan pancakes but those are a little too sweet for my taste. Mom had the bananas and strawberry pancakes which were great. Had the country fried steak which is always good and comes with pancakes. They're hash browns are very bland, but I upgraded to house potatoes which are always good. I've also had the Chile relleno omelet, and the tender tips with eggs in the past - both were great. This go-round, my pancakes were a little too well done, but a quick fix after discussing them with Nayeli. She replaced them with a full stack of pancakes to go, and credited her manager with the offer. They also removed the small upcharge for the specialized pancake order. Saw A LOT of tables doing the mimosa flights this time, and would have had them myself if I didn't have to work. They also offer bottomless mimosas too (maybe next time). Last highlight for me is the Cafe de Olla, which comes with a half of a pan dulce. Seriously the best warm hug to start the day with. This place is always a hit with the family - if you are dining in, be prepared to wait - but once you're in, you'll definitely be treated like family. Huge portions of delicious food with a smile. The steak was delicious, but my eggs were cooked wrong twice; first overcooked, then the next was way undercooked, nearly raw eggs. To add to that, my flour tortilla was rock-hard, probably for sitting under the heat lamp too long. I'm sorry, but for $19, this meal was lackluster. The Red Velvet Pancakes were delicious, but my daughter who loves sweets, surprisingly said it was way too much chocolate and sugar. I know running a kitchen is tough, but maybe we came on a bad day. On a good note, my wife enjoyed her Breakfast Burrito. The interior is bright, open and spacious! The menu is enormous with great photos. The best part was the super friendly staff and smiling faces. I've driven past and seen so many ads for this restaurant, I'm surprised it took me as long as it did to try it. Going on a Saturday morning with a big group can always be a challenge but the wait wasn't too crazy. Our waitress Fanni, was great and attentive. The food was flavorful and great sized portions. The pancake flight was definitely the highlight. All of the flavors were delicious and the pancakes melted in your mouth. The cinnamon swirl was my favorite. Came around 11am on a Saturday and they were really busy, but surprisingly the wait for our party of 4 was only about 5 minutes. I did overhear a larger party ahead of us being told the wait would be about an hour, so just a heads up if you're planning to come with a big group. The restaurant is huge with a lively, fast paced atmosphere, and it does get very loud inside. Their menu is massive. They have everything from steaks, tacos, burritos, sandwiches, soups, omelettes, pancakes, etc. My only disappointment was that they don't serve Spanish rice. Because of that, they don't have a traditional carne asada burrito, so we ordered the California burrito instead. It was still really good and came with a side of fries. We also ordered the Chilaquiles Tricolor Casa's Way and they were probably the best chilaquiles I've ever had! To be fair, I've only ordered chilaquiles at a handful of restaurants, but these definitely take the top spot. The red velvet pancakes we ordered were also delicious. We got seated at a table and found the wooden chairs a bit hard. Next visit I think booth seating could go a long ways for comfort. Our server was amazing and helped us with the daily special. The restaurant is open floor plan with a nice Mexican vibe to it. This place had a very good menu with lots of choices. We tried the tricolor chilaquiles with New York steak upgrade, and the steak n eggs. The chilaquiles were the star of the show, both red and green on each side and a large New York Steak in the middle., also had 2 eggs. They were delicious and flavorful and had a good kick that will make you sweat. Easily could feed 2 people. The steak and eggs were ok the steak was thin and a bit overcooked.. It was Sunday morning and super busy, so not much to be done about it. The food, we had the breakfast burrito (all the meats plus egg and cheese), the casa burrito (chilaquiles, egg, cheese and carne asada), the asada omelette and the pancake flight. The breakfast burrito, was just ok, what is expected with that. The carne asada omelette was also pretty plain tasting. The casa burrito was the best of the savory bunch because those chilaquiles were in there, it gave a spicy kick and a little bit of texture to an otherwise plain dish. The pancakes (apparently) is where they excel, fluffy with the right amount of toppings to not over take the stack. We will be back, and only order sweet things and see how that goes. read more

It was my first time trying Casa El Desayuno and I will definitely be back. I walked in a lil after 7:30am and was immediately greeted by a friendly host/server. I ordered the chilaquiles tricolor with New York steak and avocado-- it did not disappoint! The portions were generous and everything was flavorful, fresh and cooked perfectly. The combination of the red and green chilaquiles made it feel like I was getting the best of both worlds. Yum! Of course, I had to try their Baby Mimosas. I ordered the Michelada-Michimosa, Orange-Classymosa, Strawberry-Berrymosa and Mango-Mangomosa. Each one had its own unique flavor and they were all really delicious. Let's just say I left with a very pleasant buzz. LOL! They also offer bottomless mimosas every single day for $20.99! Everybody's been ranting and raving about Casa El Desayuno, so naturally I felt obligated to see what all the hype was about. The Groupon definitely helped too. Fifteen dollars for thirty is a strong motivator. I was even more convinced this place must be something special when we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes on a Monday morning. That usually screams "worth it," right? I ordered the Chile Relleno omelette with fruit and my wife went with the ranchero omelette. They were fine. Not bad, not amazing, just kind of there. The Chile relleno omelette had a healthy amount of cheese , it wasn't like a traditional chile relleno rather chopped up peppers with cheese. Unfortunately, several pieces of steak were tough enough to double as jaw workouts and ended up being basically inedible. On the plus side, the service was friendly, which always helps. Very large, many tables and happy people of course. As we sat, the menus were given. We learned very quickly this is a fast pasted restaurant. Tip: try to have your drink order and meal order ready when you sit down because you may feel rushed. Although our server was nice, it was not nice to feel as though we were rushed. I understand the volumes, as it was a very busy day. We ordered coffee, and a few juices. Our children got pancakes, sausage and eggs. One of the orders did get messed up. The server did fix it quickly. I ordered the crepes, eggs,hash browns and sausage. My husband something similar. No more than a minute passed by and the food was put on our table lukewarm. We do not really complain, and perhaps this is just the way this restaurant operates on weekends. Even though the pictures of a pancake flight seemed like a great idea, we decided against it. I also tried the crepe combo which came with eggs, hash browns and 4 pieces of your choice of meat. I went with two bacon and two sausages. The eggs were cooked excellent and the crepes were thick savory but sweet with the Nutella and strawberry slices. It was very good and filling. We did mention it to one of the server that the table across from us with four people was seated 20 minutes after us and already received their food while we were still waiting. The portions are huge, so come hungry and prepared to take left overs. The Café de olla coffee was amazing and the standout for me! I would go back just for it alone. It's so wonderfully rich and flavorful with Mexican spices and good tasting coffee. It comes with a concha on top that is totally unnecessary with all the other food, but a nice accompaniment and perfect for a quick snack while waiting for the main courses. Prices are reasonable for the portions and the service is quick and attentive. The inside of the restaurant is large with many tables and a lively atmosphere. I'm so glad my family and I finally tried this place. It's probably one of the best, if not the best, breakfast place we've tried in the 11 years we've lived in Las Vegas. My 11 year old said "I wish I had a Yelp account so I could tell everyone how good this place is."
