1 star I ordered through the app during breakfast rush hour and waited 45 minutes for my food only to be told after asking that my order had been completed 45 minutes earlier and that "someone must have taken it." Meanwhile, multiple employees were standing around doing essentially nothing while customers piled up. There was zero urgency, no communication, and no attempt to proactively help or fix the situation until I went up to the counter myself. To make matters worse, I witnessed the manager talking negatively about a customer over a remake, which was extremely unprofessional. If a customer needs a remake, that should be handled with respect not mocked or complained about within earshot of others. If mobile orders are getting taken, there should be a system in place to prevent that or at the very least, staff should be paying attention during peak hours. Waiting nearly an hour and a half total for a bagel, combined with poor management and unprofessional behavior, is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed with the service at Einstein Bros. Bagels. Always a solid choice! I don't stop in very often, but when I do I'm never disappointed. In fairness, I don't eat their bagels anymore. I've lost over 60 pounds and I keep it off by living a low-carb lifestyle so bagels don't exactly fit into that plan very well. However, I used to eat their bagel thin sandwiches often and they are delicious! I come for the coffee when I stop in now. It is hands-down way better than Starbucks and more reasonably priced. Today I came in not only for coffee, but I needed some kind of protein to carry me through because I forgot my lunch at home and I still had several hours of work to do. Thank goodness, they have egg whites! I asked the gentleman who took my order if I could purchase egg whites by themselves and he said that would not be a problem. I ordered my coffee and my egg whites and then headed down the line to pay for my order. It was crazy busy on a Friday morning at 9 AM, but I did not have to wait long to pay or for my egg whites to be prepared. By the time I was done putting my coffee together, they called my name. Were these the most mind blowing fluffy, huge pile of egg whites I've ever had? No. But they solved my hunger problem temporarily, and I did not blow my daily nutrition goal to stay low-carb, which is very important to me. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy carbs on occasion, but this was just a busy unprepared workday for me. I do wish the serving was a little bit bigger for almost $4,, but I would imagine their egg whites come prepackaged as single servings big enough to fit between a sliced bagel. It's the bagel that shines at Einstein not the egg whites. I understand that. At any rate, I was grateful to score some type of protein, stay within my daily low-carb nutrition plan and most of all get to have a delicious cup of their neighborhood roast coffee. I also really appreciate that they offer skim milk in addition to half-and-half or regular milk. Thank you, Einstein, for being consistently reliable and providing such quality, coffee and goods! PS if you started offering some type of protein only option, I'd be here very often and believe me when I tell you there's a large community of people that would too. This location is the definition of horrible customer service. I made a special stop here - early in the morning - to pre-order heart shaped bagels for Valentines Day since Einstein's actively promoted stopping by your local Einstein's to place your order. I walked in and all staff members were working on orders so I patiently waited at the counter. Meanwhile - there was a line of guests forming behind me - waiting for their order to be taken as well. As I was waiting - I saw the order forms and a pen laying on the table so I grabbed my order form and filled it out so that it was ready when a staff member was available to take my order. I was finally greeted by a staff member who barely said hello. I handed her my order form and let her know that I wanted to pay for the order today so I did not have to worry about it when I picked the order up. I also wanted to pay for a bottle of water that I need to take with me today. The staff member gave me a strange look as she clearly was not trained by Management on the heart shaped bagel pre-orders. She looks at her fellow staff member next to her - asks him something which I could not hear. He also did not know how to process the order so she gave my order form to another staff member that walked past her and then looked back at me. No confirmation, no "thank you", no verbiage whatsoever. I had to ask her - is my order confirmed? Can I get a confirmation please? She said that there was no confirmation and you will have to come back to pay for them. Her attitude was basically "I don't care" so I told her to forget my order and I will make it online. I must be a masochist. Against my better judgment, I find myself here again. While the food is corporate vanilla quality and ambience, the service is laughable. No exaggeration, I counted 10+ employees milling about. It's a quiet morning with 2 customers ahead of me and maybe five sitting at tables. I ordered one untoasted sandwich. That's it. Fifteen minutes later...I'm still waiting, with enough time to type this review. I could have gone to the market on the next block, bought all the ingredients and made the sandwich in the parking lot, with enough left for a few more. Forget ordering ahead. You might have better luck standing in line and ordering. Most of the seating area consists of people waiting around for their orders. When asking when the order will be ready it's always "we are making it now, 10 more minutes." Workers are polite so that's a plus. read more

They made me take my 2lbs yorkie off the table even though she is disabled and i had to bring her in. If i could have left her outside I would have. She is hypoallergenic and is also bald. This morning, I decided to pick up a bagel for breakfast. They were busy, but the line moved quickly. The employees were nice and friendly. I ordered a garlic bagel with garden veggie shmear, not toasted. As it typically happens, I was asked again if I wanted it toasted when I paid (as order taking and paying were opposite sides of the counter). In a few minutes, I had my order. When I got home to enjoy my bagel and opened it, there was virtually no shmear. If you pay $4 for a bagel with shmear, it should actually have shmear on it. I always buy bagels and cream cheese from this location. Little did I know they have more into their main menu than the regular bagels. I found out about these bagel sandwiches at work. I was shocked how good they were so I made my bf tried it as well. I always order my food through the app and pick up my order in the store. First time I tried to order additional coffee with my bagel sandwich. Usually I just grab my food since everything is ready when I get there. But this time I have to remind them about my coffee. They just literally give me coffee and left right away but didn't offer creamer nor sugar. I had to wait until someone is available to ask for those. If you're looking for a place with the worst customer service, then this store is for you. Placed a DoorDash order. Receive my bagel and it is not what I ordered at all. Call the store and spent the first half of my lunch trying to get through to speak to someone only to be told they're sorry for giving DoorDash the wrong item but they cannot have the correct order sent nor can they give me a refund and that I would have to take my complaint to DoorDash. This is not the first time I've received crappy service at this same store. I've had to eat the cost before for their errors. This morning I found my experience very unprofessional, as well as it was just completely inconvenient. I tried making an order the day before, but the system would not allow me to put in any billing so I gave up and put an order in the morning right when I woke up at 7am. I made a pick up order for catering early in the morning 7am for an 11:15-11:30am pick up, only for it not be ready. Actually, it wasn't even not ready. Because ready means it was in the process of creation. I was told my order was just never looked at. I understand that a restaurant has peak hours especially a breakfast restaurant. I love Einstein bagels. I go frequently so I see how busy it can be. But to be told that an order I placed almost 5 hours prior was never look at because I placed it day of is a poor excuse. I don't see how you wouldn't look at your catering orders for nearly 6 hours. Especially after being only open for 2 hours since you open at 5am. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. As a D student in school with a few scattered C's, I never quite felt comfortable trying out Einstein Bagels. The menu is probably difficult to decipher and the customers in line are discussing physics.  I braved it anyway one Monday out of curiosity because the sign outside looked like it was missing the third Pep Boy. At least THAT was smart....they had a baker's dozen on sale for a measly $7. What a steal! $7 for 13 bagels, warm and fresh out of the oven. I grabbed a tub of schmear for a few bucks, even though it sounds like a word used at a crime scene. Hooray, it has no unhealthy blue # 1 or yellow # 6 fake coloring for those who pay attention to what they eat.  No artificial junk in it at all, thankfully, just like their bagels. Also tried an egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted bagel, because they gave it to me free for signing up online. The little sucker wasn't bad, better than those at McWendyKing, but maybe not as good as Cosmo's Eggslut. Freezing a couple dozen of these bagels and leaving one or two in the fridge to thaw overnight seems to work well. If you're used to East Coast style bagels, these are not the same. These bagels are not boiled like traditional delis serve, so there will be a noticeable difference. Still good though. Let's start this off by saying this is the worst Einstein Bros I've been to in the entire country. One star is overly generous for the poor service and cold food. This location is conveniently located in Centennial. The staff aren't friendly. The manager is worst. She would NEVER ne a manager in any establisent I manage. Shes rude to the customers because she ans her stagg are not able to prepare the food timely. Today, she got her feelings hurt when several people called her out. It should NOT take 30 minutes to get anything here. The constant at this location is poor customer service, poor management, cold and/or stale food, and 30 minutes to get anything you order. While it takes 30 minutes to receive your order, it is ALWAYS cold. I thought it was a fluke and gave this location other chances. They've struck out. I'm done with Einstein Bros. Other locations that I've patronized have just as much, if not more, volume as this store and the food is never cold and there's NEVER a 30 minute wait. The people ahead of me in line had a bagel toasted and sliced and they waited 30 minutes as well. After speaking to some neighbors, they even mentioned no matter what day they go, there's always a 30 minute wait and the manager told them it takes this long because they're a very busy location. To the district manager, if you, your regional manager, or corporate doesn't get a handle on this location, it'll be out of business. Maybe you think enough of tour job to assess the situation for yourself. Send in a private party unknown to the staff and you'll will be appalled. Corporate may need to find a new district and regional manager as well for letting this happen. My recommendation is do NOT patronize this location unless you want to wait 30 minutes for cold food. Everyone seems to wall around in a daze bumping in to each other. That assembly process you have isn't working. People don't bump in to each other and reach over one another when in a true assembly line. read more

Stopped by 8AM on a Thursday. I was probably inside of the store a total of 3-4 minutes, I was expecting a wait but there was no line whatsoever. Almost all the inside seating was full but that was fine with me because I needed to grab & go. I opted to get the $8 fresh & ready bakers dozen of bagels. I got 2 cream cheeses, the total coming out to $12.99. This is a limited time offer though, not sure how long this option will be available but it's great for picking up something for the office. If you're looking for a New York style bagel, forget it. These take some getting used to if you come from the east coast. But they have a wide variety of sandwiches and good, hot coffee. The people behind the counter all seem to be very friendly and the service is great, unless you're there first thing in the morning when they're overrun with multiple phone orders for corporate meetings.
