The beans were refried and the rice was savory. The adobada was good, but a little tough. The horchata was sweet. The best part was getting to eat at the impeccably maintained patio out front of the shack. There are metal storks and pelicans keeping watch over the dining patio. Large pots of pink and red blossoms stand next to a statuette of St. Francis (the patron saint of animals and nature). Roses climb over the side of the building, which has a bathroom for customers. It is evident to me that someone cares very much for this little restaurant.

With so many bread shops in CB-NB, one would think this small side could be done nicely. Not here! So why 2 stars instead of 1 star? Portion size is large with each of us having to use a takeout box. Prices are average as it cost $42 to feed 3 people. That's not so bad these days. If you want the best breakfasts, go to Pancake Mill. They are as good as it gets in the USA. Fried foods here are not always the best so go to a place where a grilled option is available. Look at my other Yelps. Find the 5-star reviews. That is where to go for great food and service.
