Ordered a hamburger patty that took 1/2 hr to make..only to witness 2 other tables that arrived 10mins after us get served prior to us. When I inquired they said my burger patty takes longer to make yet they were able to dish up 4 other plates prior to my burger patty? Instead of owning up to their "mixup/ mistake" they lied and made us feel uncomfortable. When I saw that the other tables were served before us, I asked if our order got submitted and was told that my burger is what takes so long (really? Yet 2 tables that arrived & ordered after us got served?) so I replied ok I'll leave a review about it. Instead of them being accountable they start talking about "it is what is, can't please everyone" just continued on making us feel more uncomfortable. After we left I found out it was the owner that was making all of the comments and is who made us feel uncomfortable Wow! So unprofessional, we'll never go back. read more

One star and that's being generous. I walked into this 'restaurant' and felt like I was crashing grandma's dinner party - minus the warmth and homemade love. Service was slower than a turtle on valium, with our waiter seemingly allergic to our table. But the real kicker was the food: biscuits and gravy that tasted suspiciously like cardboard with a weird, gloopy sauce, and hashbrowns that had been sat out long enough to develop their own ecosystem. If you're looking for a culinary experience that'll leave you feeling grandma's disappointment instead of grandma's love, then this place is for you! 1/10, would not recommend. read more

It's now Leona's Country Kitchen and recently reopened under new owners. I love the Broasted chicken but everything on the menu looks delicious. The milkshakes looked yummy. The best part of the restaurant is the owners. They have made this restaurant a welcoming place to go for delicious food. The food wasn't bad my tab was $13. There were 3 of us we got separate checks I paid my tab on my card and filled out my receipt crossed out the tip part and tipped 7 dollars in cash a week later my card was hit for 5 dollars for a tip from this restaurant I called them they were nice said they would handle it a week goes by nothing happened I call them again they say I should have the money back in acouple days never got the money back when I called again I was met with attitude and then they stopped answering my phone calls I asked the other guy who was with us and paid on his card and he tipped $4 it sucks cuz the people I was with vacation down here every year for years and have come here forever it's sucks to say Leona's stole from me and it ain't the amount it's how they treated the situation read more

First time at Leona's and I will definitely be back. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive and nice. The food was really good. I had the Plank chicken fried steak and it was huge and tasted great. The steak itself was fork tender and the gravy was thick and peppery. This place is easy to miss but worth trying. read more

What a pleasant surprise! Looking for a breakfast place in Reedsport, One of their specials was tri-tip & eggs. My partner ordered a german sausage omelet - it was huge! I did the tri-tip & eggs. It had been smoked - it had a faint smoke ring. Tasted great!! Actually I stuck a couple slices of meat between my toast halves & had a little tri-tip sammie! I haven't had one of those in years!! They had great looking specials - they are posted on your table. It's an old fashioned diner - the ambiance is such. Lots of retired folks in there. The prices are wonderful. Our breakfast was $25. That included 2 full breakfasts( country potatoes & toast), side of salsa & 2 cups of coffee. Service was great! Food was terrific & prices were wonderful. They are only open till 2pm - so plan accordingly. I know I will stopping next time I'm heading through town. read more

Leona's serves as a restaurant but looks like a museum. The walls are decorated with paintings and pictures of the town, and there are display cases full of random things such as old-school diving equipment. We were seated and I was brought over a cup of watered down coffee sans the creamer I asked for. That being said, caffeine is caffeine, and I was happy to be getting some in me. My one cup of coffee was my only cup of coffee because no refill was ever offered. I ordered the eggs benedict with peaches. The peaches come from a can, which I was expecting and honestly didn't mind. I like canned peaches. The eggs on the benedict were cooked perfectly, offering up the yolk lava as I cut into it, and the eggs were seasoned well. The hollandaise wasn't bad, though it suffered from what I call "gravy hollandaise", which most restaurants seem to suffer from these days. Our waitress was nice but absent. The only times we interacted were when our order was taken, and when the food was delivered. I even had to go up to the register and call someone over to pay. I'm sure Leona's serves as a great breakfast stop for the locals, but I would recommend checking out the competition before settling down here. read more

We went into the restaurant yesterday for lunch. My hubby had coffee with his. He noticed the inside of his cup was extremely dirty and stained but could be removed with just his finger. He called the waitress over and showed her and what she said to him was "what's your point" not I'm sorry I'll get you another cup. So we asked the owner to come over, told her about the waitress being rude and she told us she'd speak to her. Well she did but they were pointing in our direction laughing. Not the first time in that restaurant but it is 100 percent the last time. Never did get an apology. I came here with my aunt for breakfast and wasn't disappointed but not to enthusiastic about the food the hash browns was bland and had to put salt and pepper on them just to make them taste good there chicken fried steak was good with the yummy gravy on top and the eggs was cooked just the way I like they have a huge bread selection for toast my aunt really liked her food the salmon was good the potatos was crispy and the pancake is a good size customer service is wonderful read more

If you are really into good cuts of meat, this is your restaurant! Grew up in Vegas so it is unusual for me to get excited about eating out. I had a French Dip sandwich. It was the best smoked beef, I have ever had. Although, Vinney's in CB has some great meat too. Great service and clean place. Only thing is they close at 2:00 so, no dinner menu. They serve terrific food at a great value, and the owner and staff couldn't be any kinder or more welcoming. Frankly, Leona's is one of my favorite places in Reedsport to have a fantastic breakfast - huge servings, beautifully prepared, and always served with a smile. We really enjoyed our meal here (breakfast), and received great service from our waitress. Hot tip: if your order comes with potatoes, make sure you get the homemade potato chips! They make thick-cut kettle-style potato chips that are some of the best I've ever had (we even got an order of chips to go!). Stopped in for breakfast because the place looked like a small cafe. They were busy and we got coffee but it took quite a while to order. My husband ordered pancakes with bacon and I ordered the special, Eggs Benedict. The pancakes were just ok and the eggs for the Eggs Benedict were overdone & sauce seemed too thick. 01/18/2019. Mariah was once again our server. Such a nice gal! Today I had poached eggs over English muffin but mixed it with their German sausage. Sausage was crosscut which kept it from curling too much and it was grilled nicely. Had a nice spiciness too! When will they get rid of the cheap silverware? I'm thinking of my Leona's catch phrase. Do not run away when you see the outside of this cafe/restaurant. Resist the urge to look for the nearest McDonald's. Leona's Cafe appears about as old fashioned and run down as can be. Similar to a rusted time capsule, Leona's holds treasures within. You will not meet a unfriendly waitress in this "grandmothers house" style cafe. These women are waitresses. The kind of women that just fall into the beautifully stereotypical role. Women who should be paid a movie stars wage for their generously authentic attitudes, they are the originals. Many of the patrons that walked in, they knew, and one older gentleman received a "happy birthday". These women are the real deal and I could not have felt more at home. Oh, how precious community is. Leona's has old generation community spirit built into its walls. If you decide to read about the history of the establishment you will find it rich and personable. These are people who are still passionate about family and community, no tourist eyes allowed unless you look with unpretentious eyes. You will find a true love story, friendship stories, and one story I will let you discover on your own (Hint; Famous Oregonian). We ordered French Toast, a omelette, and a Breakfast Sandwich. The French Toast was Texas toast and could not have been more American with a huge melting ball of real butter. The Breakfast Sandwich did not blow me away, it was served on a warm buttered bun, but I had no complaints. The omelette was perfect. This is a diner omelette and boy, do they know how to do it. The German sausage inside was sliced and then fried so that all of the caramelized goodness melted into the perfectly cooked fluffy egg. I recommend it. On the menu they have a selection of very interesting sandwiches (pictured below). Fun combinations that sounded oddly delicious. I wanted to try them all. If ever in Reedsport stop by. I highly doubt you will not enjoy this small community driven cafe. Oh, and everything is homemade! read more

Breakfast was great here. We had Breakfast Special of eggs, bacon, hash browns pancakes and toast. Others has omelets, waffles and eggs, and half and half of Biscuits and Potatoes with Gravy. All the food was hot with butter melting on the cakes and waffle, and eggs cooked perfectly to order. Everything was tasty and enjoyed. The service was prompt and attentive to need. The value was on spot for portions. The place was clean and very nice. We would go there again and take others. Gave a 4 because not spectacular or over the top. read more

New Owners so there is alot going on.. Wait staff is hard to find but Brandy and a few others are getting there.. Taking on a restaurant is a difficult task so give them a try and help. The kitchen could use some real help in the cooking department.. Start with fresh... Works better every time.. I will continue to go and will continue to help make this a Must Stop and a Go To restaurant. I do love there Waffles with surprise toppings.. Fruit, Sweet Cream Cheese or berry syrup.
