We stopped to buy ice cream and foolishly parked in the parking lot. After enjoying our ice-cream, we walked to the carnival. We returned to our vehicle at 11:00 pm only to find the owner had our car towed. We paid $250 . We were told by other business owners this was a common practice by the management at Dairy Queen. Towing cars parked in their parking lot after 10:00pm (their closing time) . We were among several families that night that went in for an ice cream and ended up in a nightmare situation. We will never give our money to that business again! read more

I was shocked at the lack of ice cream places on the island. We ended up at the good old DQ and it hit the spot. Service was great. I got the heath caramel brownie cupfection. I'm sure there were many calories in it but boy was it good! Employees were very nice and efficient. The place is really cute and clean. We all enjoyed our ice cream. It was $15 for 3 of us. Let me tell you this DQ is a great place to stop and get a beach treat to keep your day cool... The people at this DQ are nice and have a great attitude towards their customers. They are welcoming and friendly. I waited in a short but busy line to place my order for my blizzard. And while there I saw several employees cleaning this DQ, I can honestly saw this place is nice and clean inside and outside. They also have cute covered tables where you can sit and eat. I was with my 5 year old daughter and we were traveling through the area , we had stopped to get ice cream at 9:55, they had already locked the doors . My daughter had to use the bathroom so we walked across the street to one of the restaurants. Came back to our car gone , the manager had called to get our car towed even after seeing we had a small child with us , the total disregard for the safety of us being out there by ourselves late at night to do that to us is just absolutely disgusting. One of the workers told us the manager saw us walk away and he called immediately to have someone tow our car. Now we are stranded out here with no way to transport our daughter without a car seat. We went her on Saturday night after some mini golf and go-kart racing. This DQ is located across the street. There was a long line that went outside. The kids ordered Blizzards and we were lucky enough to snag a big Red circle big table outside. The kids really enjoyed their blizzard ice cream treats. I personally didn't order any thing because there was no chocolate ice cream.But my son and nephews loved their peanut butter cup blizzards and my niece really enjoyed her oreo cookie blizzard. read more

Took 20 min to get our food. Our food was cold and wrong. Then we had to ask for our drinks which were watered down. After we ate we were going to get ice cream but we decided to go across the street and get some. Maybe when we are back in padre next year it will be better. read more

As a life-long Texan, DQ is a staple in my life. I have visited MANY DQs and by far, this was the best one I have entered. The staff was SO friendly and patient, and our food was delivered promptly. I had the two-piece fish basket - the fish was crispy, did not taste old or greasy, and had an excellent flavor and crunch. Brandon had the spicy jalapeno burger and raved about how fresh and juicy it was. We were both impressed by the restaurant as a whole. It was super clean, smelled of nice fresh food, and was well-stocked. The only fuss Brandon had was that the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine didn't have a root beer option on it. The machine was full of ice, so we didn't have to wait forever. I will definitely go back on my next visit. read more

My wife and I tried their chicken finger basket which we like at some DQs and not so much at other DQs. This DQ was better than the average but only gave us 1/2 slice of Texas toast - the fries were nice and hot. They didn't charge us for a refill where many of the DQs we've been to charge for refills. I only tried to eat at a few restaurants in SPI and most were closed do to covid or because it was the middle of the week. Out of the ones I was able to try DQ and the pizza place (D Joint) next to it were the ones with the most cars, good food, good service, and clean restaurant.
