Top tier! Delicious burgers, superb wings, perfect blue cheese, and impeccable service! A welcome surprise while we were in the area!

It smells like urine inside. I asked the waitress about it but she wasn't sure. Her best guess was it was from the brewing. She probably was right but really wasn't a fan of it. I stayed because I was starving and not from the area so I didn't want to search for another place to it and wait even longer for food. The firecracker shrimp was really good. I loved the flavors and texture. It was cooked really well. I didn't care for the local sausage. The texture was chalky/mealy and dry. The spätzle it came with tasted ok but not really like spätzle, especially the texture. I loved the mustard it came with though because it had a nice beer flavor to it. The root beer chicken was ok. It tasted like store bought bbq sauce with root beer added to it which was fine. I forgot to take a picture of the kids meal pizza. It was a nice, personal pizza size with a side, drink and ice cream. It was good! The waitress was so nice and attentive. I just wish the sausage was better and it didn't smell like pee.

Looking for dinner after we arrived in Harrisburg, Lancaster Brewing Company had a menu I believed we could all eat from. Service was quick. We started with the Philly Soft Pretzel. It was great. The beer cheese is a great touch. We had the Thick Cut Pepperoni pizza, Tavern French Dip sandwich & a hot honey grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was just ok but the French Dip & the pepperoni pizza were very good. Great meal. Great service. Cute place.

My son (over 21) and I love the Lancaster Brewing Baked Pumpkin Ale. It's our favorite pumpkin beer. So when we ended up in a hotel near the restaurant we knew we needed to try this place. We first visited May 15 years ago but we don't remember a thing about it. We went on a Sunday evening for dinner. We were quickly seated and treated. I saw online their Octoberfest menu and knew what I wanted, but was bummed to hear that we missed the menu, as it ended the week before. First thing we ordered were the Baked Pumpkin Ale. For an app we ordered the braided soft pretzel. My daughter likes beer cheese but we were unsure if their beer cheese mustard fondue, as she doesn't like mustard. The server assured us it doesn't have a mustard tases and even got us a tiny sample to make sure we liked it before finalizing the app order. That was nice of her. My daughter ordered chickens and fries, I had the PB &J burger. My son had the French dip and sweet potato fries. My wife got ribs and mashed potatoes. I do like peanut butter bacon burgers (rarely order them, but do like them). This one made me wonder when I ordered it because it also had grape jelly on it, which was something I've never had with a typical peanut butter burger. It was actually pretty good. I did occasionally dip it in a little ketchup. The fries with the burger were good. Now the pretzel was soft and great and the cheese was decent. My daughter said he chicken fingers were okay and felt as though her fries had no seasoning on them. My wife liked her ribs. My son seemed to like his French dip and the sweet potato fries came with an aioli that he liked. I'm taking points off for the off brand ketchup that had an odd taste. Also points off for the beer price. Nowhere on the menu do they show the price of beer which is a pet peeve. We picked up a six pack of the baked pumpkin ale to take home and found that we paid nearly triple for the drafts than the take away. But the food was decent and the service was good.

Totally amazing service, drinks and food!! They have amazing and creative craft cocktails and I rolled with my server's recommendation! I caught them on a pizza special night and that was amazing as well.

Food was delicious. Service left a little to be desired, server was nice but slow. Was a good place to stop in for dinner.

The Double Chicolate Milk Stout from Lancaster Brewing Company!
    Alden C.

Steve and I dove into Lancaster Brewing Company in the recent past and I was glad to get this brewery off of my "to try" list finally. We had the Double Chicolate Milk Stout which was fine beer to have. We both enjoyed it as we often do with milk stouts. Flavors to be on the lookout for while you take a sip of this stout are Chocolate, Milk and sweetness. It's creamy and smooth in body which always gives us a nice mouthfeel when we enjoyed this Milk Stout as typically is the beer experience for us with this beer type.

Excellent service, that in and of itself was 5 stars, just unfortunately, food wasn't great. Price was meh, a bit high, but not terribly. Ambiance was like Buffalo Wild Wings or Chilis, just standard bar-restaurant feel. DRINK: Started off with their beef sampler. Nothing was great, said my husband. Just a lot of artificial flavoring, if you're into that. It was still fun to try, you prob. won't find a REALLY good one. FOOD: Their crispy gator was pretty good, crispy battered gator, with a side of slightly spicy tartar sauce. Their kids menu was not kid size at all, it was huge, so for $9 per kids meal was very worth it. My child had the fish n chips and he enjoyed it, while my other one had the crispy chicken fingers and fries, very nice and crispy. My Crisly Salmon had so much potential, but missed the mark. It was a bit undercooked, and the salmon itself had no salt! No flavor, nothing. However, the crispy skin was really good, just wish there was more flavor, or AT LEAST SALT. The meatloaf was really good, so said my husband. I had a small taste and I agree, very flavorful, moist, a worth it dish. DESSERT: The apple pie for two was pretty good, not the best, but a satisfying end to our dinner. Nothing else makes me wanna come back to try again, but it was a good place to try once.

I have been to this restaurant for both dine in and takeout during weekend sports tournaments nearby. I really like the wide selection of food and drink, and would say you cannot really go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorite is the fish and chips ; though portion is on the smaller side it's super fresh and tasty. The fish has a "melts in your mouth" feeling. Burgers are solid too and generously sized. Too many good beers to name but the Pumpkin Brew is a unique one that's way better than competitors' versions. Takeout is incredibly fast and friendly too, which is good as reservations can sometimes times be tough. A definite go to on this side of Harrisburg where there are fewer options than on the West Shore...

One selection of many. Average hazy.

On a work travel trip and our supplier opted for this joint. 13 beers on tap and a handful more in the can was sufficient. Opted for the ribs... perfectly tender and chose the honey chili. The sauce was not a hit, and was just honey while I was expecting a sweet heat..did not deliver. The fries were limp and greasy, but once we asked for replacements they came out great. Ambiance is ye old sports pub, service was forgetful, and prices were in line with the area. I might come back, but will sit at the bar to try a wider assortment of beers. Follow me on untapped for my beer reviews.

It's that time of year! Oktoberfest!

This brewery is only 3 min from the hotel I like to stay at while I'm in town. They are a warm and comfortable place with a lot of regulars. They have a great variety of beers and also offer a full bar. I chose pizza today and was quite impressed. It may not look like much but it's delicious. The service was very friendly. Of course I'll be back.

The building is a former printing plant which has a spacious tap rooms/dining on the first floor and the Abbey Bar (with occasional live music) upstairs. I'm a big fan of ABC for many reasons, not the least of which is their variety of approachable and tasty beer styles for nearly any taste. ABC manages to stay creative with a mix of standard selections with a rotating cast of seasonals--but nothing too exotic. The food has been good in my experience and I confess a particular liking for the pierogies--pretty darn good for this part of PA. Service at this location has been uniformly excellent during all my visits. A couple of mild quirks about the Cameron Street location: first, parking is a bit odd. There's a small lot near the entrance but most parking is near the back of the building. Second, the brewery is on a slightly industrial stretch of Cameron Street. Translation: the neighborhood looks worse than it actually is! ABC runs an excellent small chain of brew pubs (I've visited most of them) but I think the original has a je ne sais quoi that makes it special.

Like, we got mustard on our clothes from an unclean table; food and napkin scraps all stuck in the grass everywhere you looked. Then, the service outside is through a window, which in itself is no problem. The issue is that it was single server on a Friday night and the line took a really long time. Revolutionary Hot Sauce Brew Pub - A Solo Valentine's Win…read more I took myself out on a Valentine's Day date this year and decided to try Revolutionary Hot Sauce Brew Pub after seeing it on social media. I'd heard good things about their hot sauces (and that they'd been featured on Hot Ones), so I figured it was time to see what the hype was about. I went in without a specific plan--just knew everything I saw online looked incredible. I ended up asking the guy behind the counter (who I later realized was the owner) whether I should go with the habanero chili dog or the hot habanero pork burger. I've never had a pork burger before, so I was a little hesitant--but I deferred to his recommendation. Absolutely the right call. The pork burger with the habanero sauce was so good. Perfect balance of heat and flavor--not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. And the fresh-cut fries? Exactly what you want them to be: hot, crisp, and clearly made with care. The space itself is a low-key micro pub--casual, relaxed, exactly what you'd expect--but that doesn't make it any less special. The place oozes passionate startup energy. There's a whole shelf of custom hot sauces with creative names, a thoughtfully designed menu, and you can just feel that this is someone's vision brought to life. The owner was out talking to customers, genuinely enthusiastic about what he's building. That kind of energy elevates a place from "good food" to "great experience." Highly recommend. You can tell this is a labor of love--and it shows in every detail

I stopped in on a chilly, windy January Friday around 5:30pm and immediately felt at home. There were maybe five people total inside--three at the bar and one couple in the dining room. It was quiet, no too-bright lights, and warm. Cozy. Calm. Very much my vibe. I was handed a menu, told I could sit anywhere, and instructed to head to the order station when I was ready. As I perused the menu, I found myself in a familiar internal conflict: I really wanted the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata sandwich, but I also really wanted a smash burger instead of sliced beef. So naturally, I decided to test the limits of the universe. I gathered my courage, went to the order station, and told the man taking my order that I appreciated him entertaining what I was about to say because I was trying to break reality just a little. Then I asked: "Can I get the Smoked Beef Tri Tip & Burrata...without the tri tip...and with a smash burger instead?" Without missing a beat, he replied, "Well, I have to tell you--we're actually out of the tri tip, so...sure! We're going to confuse the guy in the kitchen, but let's do it." A million out of ten stars! Total for this beautiful nonsense: $16. I upgraded my fries to black truffle fries for $2 (as one does) and added a Diet Coke for $2.75. With tip, my total came to $25--very reasonable for the experience I was about to have. I returned to my seat and soaked in the atmosphere. A few minutes later, Order Station Man reappeared to let me know they were out of the bacon jam sauce that was supposed to go on my sandwich--but offered to whip up something similar if that was okay. YES. Always yes. Thank you for offering a solution instead of a shrug. This is a huge win in my book! While I waited, more folks filtered in and joined the couple seated near me. They clearly knew each other, and after a bit of chatting, someone called the group to order and they all introduced themselves. That's when I realized I had unknowingly scored dinner-and-a-show: a Dungeons & Dragons meetup. I ate my burger while listening to character introductions. Zero complaints. And the food? Exactly what I hoped for. The smash burger was a perfect, smaller patty--ideal size for me--loaded with creamy burrata on a fluffy roll. I quickly finished the entire thing, which is the highest compliment I can give. Midway through my meal, Order Station Man appeared again--this time holding a bowl of black truffle fries--and apologized for initially sending regular fries. I hadn't even noticed (I was focused on the smashburger spectacular!) or said a word, but he fixed it anyway. And I'm so glad he did because these truffle fries were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Crispy, flavorful, and officially added to my "I need fries from this place" list. Despite a few wrinkles (which were all handled beautifully), this was a genuinely great experience. Friendly staff, flexible kitchen, cozy atmosphere, and food that delivered. Highly recommend. Parking could be tricky at peak times, but I parked across the street in the old bank lot without issue. Revolutionary Eatery & Brewpub understands hospitality--and apparently also understands my very specific sandwich dreams.

The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting outdoor space, accessibility to some good grub, and (of course) some quality beers. Big bonus if a place is dog friendly. Shy Bear easily accomplishes all three and earns a double bonus for welcoming our Doodle. The staff was great - they were packed but our hostess and waitress both made sure we were taken care of without being up-in-your-face. They understood both the food and beer menus and were able to make good suggestions. The overall atmosphere of the place was fun too - trivia night was going on while we were there and even the people who weren't playing along were obviously engaged. We had lunch not too much earlier, but we couldn't pass up trying one of the flatbreads that the waitress recommended. We were very happy that we did - just the right size and very tasty. We each got a flight of five so we got to sample a good chunk of their offerings. They had some unique variations like a cookies n cream sour and they also had some truer to original styles that I prefer - and I walked out with a four pack of their West Coast IPA to prove it.
