The restaurant itself is small and eclectically decorated, but clean and comfortable. Food was basic... I ordered a French dip, or their equivalent to it. Bread not toasted, no horseradish or anything. Just bread pulled straight out of the package and cooked meat. My husband liked his burger. My mother in-law did not enjoy her fish tacos, and my father in-law didn't eat any of the soup he ordered. Our server was okay. She did the bare minimum and literally nothing more. She took our order, brought our food, brought the check, and nothing else. She didn't offer refills on drinks, didn't care that my father in-law didn't touch his food, didn't offer boxes. She was nice, but I've had far better service elsewhere. Would I return? Nope. This restaurant is way out of my way, and there was nothing memorable or crave-worthy to bring me back. It was edible, but so is McDonalds when you're hungry. I've already forgotten about it.

Ordering over the phone was easy. We were politely asked if we could hold, and after a brief pause we were able to place our order. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with a side of fries. When we got home all I had to do was put the fries in the Air Fryer for a few minutes and they came out crispy and delicious as if they were freshly cooked. They are a shoestring variety, very lightly salted and not oily. The Philly was a pleasant surprise. My initial reaction on the first bite was 'Wow! That's a REAL Philly!' The roll was sliced, buttered and toasted. It held together perfectly. The skirt steak was sliced thin and cooked well. The onions are caramelized nicely and the bells are a good al dente. The Provolone is melted nicely and rounds out the sandwich flavors. The takeout packaging we received is compostable and recyclable. After all this I had to laugh at myself because I had reviewed their Philly once before. Well, it is still over the top good!

I was thrilled by how crispy and chewy the crust was, the nacho sauce went perfectly with the crust without being overpowering or gummy. There was a bountiful amount of toppings , and I could only eat two slices of the personal pizza as it was very filling. Definitely is on my list of places to stop and try and new combination the next time I'm in Veneta. Great service (although out of iced tea but not their fault) and cute setting, I can imagine it does get lively for dinner and the weekends.

Then when they did cook it they only brought 2 pieces instead of the 4 it came with. I had to ask for my rye toast and my wife had to ask for her wheat toast that she ordered that came with no butter on it. Anyway. We did get a good Marion berry pancake to split and that was delicious. Unfortunately that was the only thing good. I was going to buy a couple loaves of bread and scones but after the disappointing breakfast we just left. Please train your waitress.

They have a very extensive menu, be prepared and take your time, so many choices. I only captured half of the pages in my photos, the menu is huge. We ordered the Chile Verde pork, with rice and beans, a huge portion of food, my father in-law loved it, we also ordered the Cheese Enchilada and Chile Relleno with rice and beans combo, again a hug portion my son cleared his plate, I ordered a combo as well, The Luis Special, huge portion of rice, beans, Carne Asada, Shrimp served with a spicy dipping oil and guacamole, I had most of it, to large of a plate for one serving, it was delicious and I highly recommend it. Over all a great local family run Mexican Restaurant. We were all very impressed and very full. More importantly my Mother in-law had a great time enjoying some time with her friends and family.

When done, you pay for your order and wait for it to be baked in their 700° pizza oven. It's usually pretty quick compared to conventional pie shops which, in addition to building exactly the pizza you want, you can get it into your "piehole" faster ;-) There are two sizes to choose from and all the toppings you care to add are included in the price by size. The first thing I noticed was the uncooked dough/crust looked different when it was put on the pan for toppings assembly. After baking/tasting, it even tasted different. An employee confirmed that the dough they use has indeed changed...better/fresher was the reason provided. Perhaps fresher...but I prefer the way it was before this change. Both texture and flavor was superior in my opinion (for what it's worth). Overall, staff was friendly and courteous and the restaurant was clean. I still like MOD...but they MODified my overall opinion down a star with that change in the dough. D'oh!
