I used to think the Carl's Jr. was one of the worst places on planet Earth. Their regular meat burgers left me feeling awful, and their green burritos were no better. But then something came along-Beyond Meat, and Carl's decides to offer it in their stores. A lettuce wrap Beyond Meat Burger made me a believer. I recently went to the carls Jr. on Marcola Rd. with a friend and I ordered the guacamole bacon burger. The burger was good I was impressed on how fresh the ingredients were on the burger. I usually never order lettuce from a fast food restaurant because it tends to be brown and wilted, this one was not at all. The bacon was crispy and it was seasoned perfectly. I went around the lunch hour rush so they were busy inside but the staff was very friendly and they worked fast to get every order out on time. While there I noticed crew members cleaning nonstop on their down time. The inside was clean and inviting. I will go back definitely. Great experience! read more

Seems like every fast food location has varying reviews and I think we can chalk that up to the fact that many part-time employees work at these restaurants and have varying amounts of experience. So, you have to just take a chance every time, unfortunately. I've only been here once, so I will update again if I return. The place was very clean, the employees were very cheery, and they seemed well staffed, and someone was sweeping out front as well. It's always better than seeing a place short staffed. I got the new vegan Beyond Burger and it came out perfect, no problem. For the burger: They have been advertising it non-stop since it came out and I have to commend them on the commercial end for doing what no other fast food burger place has. I almost don't mind if other places don't follow suit because this burger is so good AND REALISTIC as it is that I will just keep returning! Ran out of chicken filets 2 hours before closing, ok cool no biggie ordered the guacamole bacon burger instead. Got home, opened the box and I didn't get any guacamole or bacon on the burger, but it did have plenty of Santa Fe sauce that I asked not to have. I am French and as such I do like usually traditional meals and as a result, I am not a big fan of fast-food. However, since I've been traveling in US I've been a Carl's Jr. fan. Everything feels the US as you can assume when you leave in Europe. Burgers are just fantastic (not too much fat and just good). I've been always satisfied how clean is the restaurant and how fast and friendly is the service. I got the true Jurassic park experience earlier when I ordered the Primal biscuit from Carl's Jr. That biscuit was so hard it shredded my throat just like a Velociraptor. The roast beef has the consistency of a rubber band and tastes like how Karen seasons her meat. read more

Please, please, please Carl's Jr get the orders correct for once. 4 out of 5 times they forget dipping sauces. 5 out of 5 times my son orders his hamburger a specific way and they 100% of the time get it wrong. I used to eat here all the time before I left for college, but after eating there today I can't believe how downhill it's gone. I payed roughly ten dollars for the number seven combo, without cheese and I got a burger without buns and with extra cheese. On top of that something was seriously wrong with my sprite, it was sour. If I didn't know any better I would assume that someone intentionally messed up my order because I just don't see how it can be so off. Granted I did use the drive thru but still... So I have been dying to try the Fish Sandwich at Carl's, and last night I did it. Although their burgers and chicken sandwiches are good, I was SO disappointed in the fish. It may have been the worst fish sandwich I have ever had. The fish was crispy but that is the only good thing I can say. The fish "filet" was so thin and looked like they flattened it with a brick , not like their promo photos at all. It hardly even tasted like fish...more like a crappy piece of fish cooked in the same fryer as the chicken so it actually tasted more like chicken. Please Carl's, rethink this menu offering. I ate here at this location regularly prior to the pandemic as it is close to my house. Most times it was hit and miss. Most of the time it was ... Eh. However, today I got the BEST chicken sandwich and onion rings I've EVER gotten at a fast food chain. My sandwich actually looked like the picture! I was astounded when I opened the box! Everything was perfect, and not just because I was hungry . I don't know what happened to this restaurant, but I am extremely impressed. My wife and I and our foster child went here for lunch we noticed a dog locked in a car with all windows up and it was 80 degrees . My wife and foster child went inside I called the police for the dog the owner of the car came out a started using foul language nonstop and trying to fight me . Then a employee named Crystal came flying out of Carls' Jr and called me every name in her foul language book in front of my wife and foster child . What an expierience that was!!!! After Church recently my son and I stopped in for a bite! I ordered a simple burger,Hard to screw up Right? Wrong!!!!!! Monday 9/4/17 9:50 AM - Pulled up and ordered breakfast and was told by Mariah that they were just baking their biscuits, so there would be a 4 minute wait. Waited almost 10 minutes and no food yet. Went through the drive thru and asked if my order was ready. Mariah (employee) started to debate with my on the wait time stating that it was 8.5 minutes and not 10 minutes. I asked if she could possibly throw in potato nuggets for my now 13 minute wait. Mariah proceeded to ask me "Is it really that a big of deal having to wait" I then asked to have my money back to which she responded that she was unable to do that.
