Extremely Unprofessional…read more I walked into Uptown Cheapskate and within one minute of entering, some random lady suddenly yelled across the store: "Everyone get out, we fucking close in 5 minutes." At first we assumed she was an employee because of how aggressively she said it. When we realized she wasn't, we called her out on it. Her response? "Yeah, I'm kind of crazy." What made the situation worse was that the actual employees said nothing about her behavior. No one corrected her, asked her to stop, or even acknowledged how inappropriate it was. On top of that, no staff member informed us when we walked in that the store was closing in 5 minutes even though it was over a hour before the website said they closed, which would have avoided the entire situation. Overall it felt chaotic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn't be yelled at by random people in the store while staff just stand there and do nothing. Definitely not a great first impression.

I had bought a cute comfy Koi lab coat for work for days I didn't feel like wearing scrubs and ordered embroidery to the left chest with my credentials. Three days later it was ready for pickup and I found the embroidery company stitched the wrong side. They sent it back to have it unstitched but because it was still obvious the stitching was removed, the embroiderer was set to buy a new coat for the store and re-embroider it. The owner decided to call me and offer to take it home, wash, steam, and try to see what progress could be made on it, in case we could make it look like-new to the unstitched side. I came back in and looked it over. It didn't look 100% but it looked so much better and to the untrained eye, it was not noticeable. I could personally see the difference, but it was barely noticeable honestly. Probably to the extent of maybe how it would have looked after three weeks of wearing it maybe. The owner refunded the embroidery fee of ~$12, and then gave me 20% off the coat itself which was very generous. I'm really happy with the coat actually, and the discount took the disappointment away entirely of the jacket not being pristine. No one noticed and it saved the embroiderer from buying a new jacket for the store. Thank you so much for working with me and making the situation right! In the outlet store has clothes on hangers, on tables and bins you have to dig thru to find gems but there were a lot of good finds. In the regular shop (photos included) , I got a j Jill dress for $6 and really nice jacket layer for $6 also, both brand new and with tags still attached. They often have sales at both locations and good selections. I would agree with comments about this being an overtly Christian store which at times has made me uncomfy but I have also witnessed sweet moments as well. They give away bibles to anyone who wants one. During my last visit there was a gentleman who was unhoused or fallen on bad times, he came into the store and shopped for clothes from the outlet $2 sale. He was treated kindly and with dignity. The store employee knew him and tried to get him connected to local assistance for him. I am down with this kind of Christianity.

I hate even looking through their stores or bother purchasing anything online. It's just disappointing. All the colors or items I want are never available! For instance,I didn't think wanting a shirt in size medium was too much to ask for. Their return process is not at all helpful for the consumers either. So I hesitate to buy anything. The app is clunky and not very user intuitive either. According to my mom, who is a petite woman weighing less than 75lbs and less than 5ft tall, it's the best store ever. She can find all the XXS, XS, and S items that most adults past the age of 8yo cannot fit in. And just with the fact that the sizing itself runs small to begin with already compounds the issues. It's really too bad because the actual textile itself and the designs are appealing and long lasting.

Took my mom to get a new pair of sandals as her feet swell really bad due to her kidney disease…read more The really nice gentleman working there ( forgive me for forgetting your name ) helped my mom - that old fashioned kind of help - he got the foot measurement thing and measured both her feet and then helped to find the right sandals for her feet that would be big enough for her bigger ankles and guess what - he found a perfect sandal that she can walk in and she loves . This pair of sandals has adjustable straps behind the ankle and on top of the foot and over the toe area. You only have to open the one strap over the top of the foot to put the shoe off and on. If by any chance her foot swells up more we can even add more strap by going to a shoe repair and add more to this specific sandal . All I can say is that you made my mom feel so special by helping her that day with your old fashioned shoe expertise , my words can't thank you enough . Thank you and I hope others go and check out the amazing shoes you have. You can find some incredible walking shoes. if you are going on a cruise or traveling to any Countries and doing any long hikes or walking tours check this store out . At the initial fitting, the dress was pinned and the original silhouette and proportions were intact. After the alterations were completed, the dress appeared materially different from its original state. The skirt had noticeably less volume and flow, the proportions at the waist were altered, and the overall silhouette no longer resembled how the dress appeared prior to alterations. I raised these concerns immediately and asked for an explanation and to pause further work. However, my concerns about the alteration outcome were not meaningfully addressed, and no clear corrective solution was offered. Given the significance of a wedding gown and the cost of the service, I was disappointed by both the outcome of the alterations and the lack of resolution offered. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service to other brides.
