The sales clerk was very helpful with pointing out the price of other items in the store as well - scarves, jewelry, bags - as everything was on special discount. I love the way they curate their selections. I found a couple of shirts in the men's section that I liked. Everything here is new or like new. And they often carry designer clothing. I had a great experience shopping in this store and I'll be back in the future!

We walked back to the car, and what I can figure is the owner as all questions go to him, break schedules are told by him, etc. he walked out behind us and followed us giving us the side eye in my car. I have spent money at both locations, but my friend and I looked at each other after this like wait, really? It was extremely odd and uncomfortable and honestly offensive. Extremely Unprofessional…read more I walked into Uptown Cheapskate and within one minute of entering, some random lady suddenly yelled across the store: "Everyone get out, we fucking close in 5 minutes." At first we assumed she was an employee because of how aggressively she said it. When we realized she wasn't, we called her out on it. Her response? "Yeah, I'm kind of crazy." What made the situation worse was that the actual employees said nothing about her behavior. No one corrected her, asked her to stop, or even acknowledged how inappropriate it was. On top of that, no staff member informed us when we walked in that the store was closing in 5 minutes even though it was over a hour before the website said they closed, which would have avoided the entire situation. Overall it felt chaotic, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. Customers shouldn't be yelled at by random people in the store while staff just stand there and do nothing. Definitely not a great first impression.

I was lucky to learn about him from my racquetball partner Rich who is a local at the LA Fitness 3 miles away. Racquetball restringing is a very unique and personalized process, with many factors such as the weight of the racquet, type of strings, whether you hit the ball at 143.5 mph or just dink and place it and tension desired. He examined my two new racquets and recommended a specific string based on my style of play and stroke. He did a fantastic job. Not only that, I just picked up the racquets less than 24 hours after I dropped them off. WOW! I love the $30 restringing price per racquet plus $10 for a new grip. This lovely one stop shop store features bags, shoes & racquets ( tennis) and is open from 10-5 Monday to Saturday. I showed my daughter around a bit and the gentleman recommended a specific type of soft ball to get them started not only did he gift my daughter a set of the balls he also was kind enough to gift her a little tokkitennis teddy. As someone who not only knows nothing about tennis but also have had zero exposure in this sport I was blown away with the kindness and thoughtful gesture. I hope my daughter continues to grow interest in this sport and you can be sure I will only shop in this store.
