What an amazingly semi organized store that is bound to be addicting. My parents didn't want me to go to the store because they knew that I would have a hard time leaving it without buying half of their products. 10 years ago, I would have fainted as soon as I entered. I almost did when I first walked in with my family in December (2017). Wow. So. Many. Things. All. The. Things. I. Love. I. Wanted. EVERYTHING. I was disciplined enough to just get things I actually needed: side dished, small ziploc bags, some snack, and a purse table holder (saw these in the checkout line). The quality of these items seems to be good. They have housewares, bathroom, dining, cleaning, house slippers, snacks, school supplies. I felt like I was in an affordable version of the container store. Much more affordable because $1.50. Who can say no to that? No refunds or exchanges. So double check all of your items! read more

This is my new happy place. I love going to discount stores and finding things that I didn't know I needed. A majority of the things in this store are around $1.50. On top of that, everything is so cute and unique that it makes grabbing something and tossing it in my basket thinking "I always wanted a tiny hour glass" or "who doesn't need another pair of scissors" so easy. I LOVE DAISO! I frequently refer to DAISO as "Japan's Better Quality Version of a Dollar Store." Everything is $1.50, unless marked otherwise! I mean everything from beauty to kitchen to gardening to arts and crafts to snacks, you name it! And these items aren't complete crap! You know when you walk into a "99 Cent" store, and immediately understand why everything is 99 cents? Yeah, you'll have the opposite problem here!! You'll be scratching your head going, "how is this ONLY $1.50?!" This store is nice and bright, although not as big as other Daiso stores I've been to in So-Cal. Well stocked and organized shelves. Bought a couple things during this visit, just little trinkets and a drink. Staff was friendly and helpful at the register. The health and beauty bargains here are so awesome! I always stock up when I come here. Love their 3 pack of falsies, I used to get them back in Cali too, perfect to use as dailies since you can buy a ton for cheap, or to keep for emergency in your purse. They aren't "Lash Couture" quality, but super cute when on, and really convenient. They sell Pocky and Ramune here!! In a variety of different flavors! For the type of store it is, it's very good. If you are going not knowing what to expect or if you have a different expectation, I can see why you would be severely underwhelmed. However, the storw is always kept very clean and organized. Don't expect high quality, long lasting items, although you will find items that you would be able to use for a long time. A lot of it depends on the type of wear and tear. If you have never been here, expect to find a good selection of economically priced small off supplies, toys, novelty items, organizational items, trinkets, snacks, tools, etc...almost like a typical dollar store but much more selection, organization, quality even. Dried cuttlefish snacks seasoned with honey and sesame, those ridiculously garish lucky waving kitty banks, sashimi plates made of porcelain, sashimi plates made of melamine, freakin' make-up, chair socks (yes, those really are a thing!), anime-inspired dolls that look as though they'll gladly eat you while you sleep . . . you name it. I love Daiso!! The self-checkout has its own lane. A lady who was in the cashier's lane got angry with me thinking I was cutting everybody off. I asked a clerk for clarification for this angry lady but the clerk barely said anything as if she didn't want to get involved. I am not just a fan. I Love it. As soon as I walked in, I saw all these cute little figures and trinkets. I knew I will enjoy my stroll around the store. There were colorful planners, stationery, home goods, foods, cups, decors, beauty items, and much more. So many things that were starting off at a dollar. I ended up buying things just to try because it looks neat. Bought some Aloe face mask, why not? Even thou some of the items are not good quality, but it can always be replace since its so cheap. But the cups and bowls are ceramic and super cute. Once you buy, you can't stop. Oh, and the snacks and candy section was calling my name. I have not tried most of the stuff they have there. I think I've found heaven!! I have been wanting to visit this store for as long as I can remember, so naturally the first thing I did when I came to Dallas was go to Daiso! Almost everything is $1.50 with particular items costing more (but at a very fair price!). They have things from cute stationary, to cute baking utensils, to cute make up, to cute snacks, and I could go on forever. I bought 10 items and my total was less than $20! Talk about a splurge that doesn't break the bank! The store itself is very clean and well lit. Workers are also kind. It should be noted that Daiso doesn't do refunds. Cool store!!! Beautifully organized. My first time ever at this store chain. Every little thing has so much function and is cute. I love roaming around in and every isle. I made one round and then went back to some of the spots I wanted to look at a little more detailed. I made a final round after I did my "need to have, my "have to have", and my "want to have"... Then I did my "don't need it, but oh how cool and cute and amazing and inexpensive"!!! Most everything is $1.50 unless marked differently. I was amazed at the functionality or specificty of some of the items. Some things were simple, but perfectly practical. My big win was the metal bar rack that adjusts over the sink so you can put your cutting board directly above the sink to wash veggies, clean them, cut them, and it's quick, clean, and a kitchen miracle!!! Especially since I'm eating more fruits and vegetables, I was wondering how I ever got along without it. And stationary heaven!!! As discount stores go, this place sets the standard. I wouldn't normally have a reason to review a "dollar store" or discount store but this is a Yen Store.Daiso makes Dollar Tree and all those other discount chains feel like dirty garage sales. Aside from the cleanliness and organization, this place is truly a bargain. Most items are $1.50 and range through $7 I believe although I only saw items ranging from $1.50-$3.00. They have a great selection of items you need and items you think you need. From containers, gardening, pet care, dining wear, cleaning goods, laundry goods, stationary and snacks, you won't leave empty handed. Compared to the same chain in both Japan and California, I felt they carried the traditional Daiso selection. They didn't "Tex" out the store which was my fear going in. They have a huge variety of stuff - beauty, clothes, cookware/cooking utensils, school supplies, car accessories, storage solutions, snacks, slippers, bags - the list goes on and on! I came in this Daiso with high expectations because I was spoiled with the ones in California before setting my eyes on this pink masterpiece. Overall, it's a great place with the general idea of $1.50 items. It's very much like a dollar tree, especially when it comes to the quality of most items. It's definitely a place where you "get what you pay for", but everything is just so cute that it makes you have butterflies in your tummy. I avoided this place like the plague on opening weekend, so I decided to visit the Monday after opening weekend. If you've been to the ones in California, this location is small. The shelves are way too close together and the items are just all over the place. I don't blame the staff for the messiness of the location because (dude) they just went through opening weekend. I'm not too familiar on when the items are restocked, but a lot of items that I was expecting to see weren't there. Nor was the amount of variety on par with the California locations. They always are clean, bright, and well-stocked with cute and practical stuff we need, want, or can't live without :) We came the first day they were open and the Daiso, despite being CRUSHED, captivated us. We got bento boxes, rice ball makers, sushi molds, tomato gummies, beautiful fans, and miscellaneous kawaii items to cute up our lives at 1.50 a pop. Every time we go, there is new stuff to see and buy. Today we got two more bento boxes (one shaped like a strawberry), two kawaii frog and cat coin banks, WARMMMM HATS and GLOVES, awesome ear muffs, a cute egg timer for hard boiled eggs, and AWESOME chopstick rests. Beware: unless you haven't been to this store already I advise you to come in only when you have specific things to buy. Or else you will end up leaving with handfuls of knick knacks that you won't even end up using and become worthless at the end lol. They have variety of things from food to school supplies that are mostly $1.50 I can't say that all of their merchandise are good quality but they are all okay for the price. You won't get ripped off for sure with their cheap price. As you visit this store often you will eventually learn which items are worth purchasing a lot of which aren't. I just don't get the hype man.. I've had multiple people raving about this store and how they have great make up brushes, lots of home decor, assessories and legit Japanese snacks. All lies, except the snacks. We stopped by after a day at Spa Castle across the street- around 530 pm. This store was actually smaller than it looked from the outside. On top of that, about a fifth of the racks were empty. Maybe they were in the middle of switching things out for holiday merchandise? We started at the front of the store where all of the cosmetics and makeup accessories were. They had a very small selection of brushes and I've had multiple people tell me that they have tons of makeup brushes so I was really disappointed. They only had one small aisle of makeup and it seemed like the rest of the stuff we're all accessories like mittens, scarves, beanies, and the sort. Even then, nothing really stood out to me as being unique to the store. I will say that the snacking and candy aisle is super legit. I found the shrimp chips and all of the different instant ramens that you can't get anywhere else. I took quite a few of them home for my husband to try since he's never had Japanese instant Ramen. They also had all the little fun candies that I remember trying when we were over there. Next time I swing by this area I might stop in just to give them one more chance. If it's still disappointing next time I'll just go to 85 Degree Bakery next door and drown my sorrows and pastries. read more

When i heard this place opened in carrolton I just wanted to make the three hour drive just to indulge. Well... that was a mistake.
