It's your neighborhood $1.50 store. I can't help but like the place because I rolled in here and bought $150 dollars worth of goodie. It's a great place to get all your essentials like my throw away underwear. My soap and my dishes and cookware. On a hot day you can be in there for hours looking at everything and enjoying the scenery. I like the great price and fairly good quality stuff. My entire ninja sock line is from Daiso and there are no holes yet. I'm giving this place 5 stars without any hesitation because you can come here and find some random thing that you have been looking for & they carry it! I always say.. If you are looking for something in particular & you don't know where to start... Come to Daiso first. You'll find it there or something very similar. Here's an example- I've been on a baking high lately & a lot of friends have asked me to bake them cupcakes & I didn't know how to perfectly package individual cupcakes without ruining the carefully piped & decorated frosting. And ta-da! I found something to use here! Small container (size of one standard cupcake) with a dome top! The packaging suggests to use this for small fruit cups or parfaits, but I am definitely using them for my cupcakes! There have been many instances just like my example where Daiso never fails. The best part too is everything is $1.50! I also frequent this store for their false lashes. There are a couple that I love; not too flashy & look natural. Who doesn't love Daiso?! Everything is $1.50 unless otherwise noted, but even then it's usually only a few dollars. If you're looking for something, then they'll probably have it and then some. You'll probably find stuff here you never even knew you needed. That USB fan? Yeah, sure, I could use a little more breeze on those warmer days. Ooh, those cute mitten pot holders will definitely come in handy. Oh yeah, I could use some flat socks. Look at all these snacks! Toss some in too! Although I've gotten better at controlling my spending urges at Daiso, the store is still super fun to browse. The merchandise varies between stores and changes occasionally, so it's fun to see what they currently stock. They have everything and I literally mean everything; kitchen and household goods, home decor, beauty items, pet supplies, stationery, arts and crafts supplies, electronic accessories, the list goes on. I generally love Daiso because you can find all kinds of things from knick knacks to school supplies to room decor to kitchen supplies to Japanese drinks and snacks to everything at an affordable price ($1.50 most of the time!!!) I go to Daiso first if I need something before going anywhere else. This Daiso is one of the cleanest and most organized ones I've ever seen. It's medium-sized but still has a really wide selection of everything. It also doesn't get super crowded. Bonus: I just found out today that they sell nice mason jars of all sorts! Daiso is like a "99 Cents" or "Dollar Tree" store but Japanese, and better. Everything in the store $1.50 except a few large specialty items. It's full of interesting curiosities you'd have a hard time finding in a 99 cent store. For example, the last time I went there I bought: 1. Box of chocolate filled Panda crackers 2. Pair of .5 kilo dumbbells 3. 3 pairs gardening gloves 4. Legal pad 5. Cork pin board 6. Buckwheat noodles 7. Coasters It's a completely random bunch of stuff because that's their specialty. They sell random stuff you probably don't really need at a price that makes you want it now. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful. I was there one night at closing time and two of the workers were standing outside the door bowing and thanking everyone for coming. May 8, 2013 After hanging out with my friend and her little girl at 85 Degrees Bakery, we came here! Goodness-Gracious! This is the Asian discount store! Everything here is only A BUCK FIDDY ($1.50). I love everything here. I know I can't handle my spending once i'm in here. I wanted to buy almost everything! I can easily spend $15-20 $mackar00s here. I can see myself shopping here for cute things to wrap presents with, to hand out as prizes to my students, and for art projects when teach summer school. What's not to love about Daiso? Most items are $1.50, while a few are priced a little higher. Higher priced items have a sticker with the higher price on it. I've loved Daiso since the first time I visited Japan in in the late 2000s and was sad that the US didn't have any at the time. So glad that they have opened a few stores in socal! I remember visiting the one in SF, when the ones in socal haven't even come to fruition. I can find lots of items around the store and don't need to pay more than $1.50 + tax for them. All sales are final. If I had found the items I needed at other stores, I could easily spend over $30+ for $10 worth of items purchased at Daiso. Their goods range from beauty & hygiene, food, household goods, toys, and much much more! A lot of the items are even branded items that you could find in the Japanese supermarkets, so these are not all knock-off cheap items. Parking lot is a bit of a doozy, especially since it's located right in the corner near Chase and 85 Degrees is also in the same plaza. The aisles are always very clean and organized. The workers there are also always very helpful. Whenever I cannot locate an item, I just find a worker and they show me where the items are. Very friendly! read more

This place is like a candy store for 'forever young adult' like me I guess. Almost all their stuff is $1.50 - What I bought from here, cute colorful glass container, plastic container, Japanese snack, cookies, view make up (powder and stick concealer), cute school supplies, notebook, kitchen gadget, bowls and cups, and my MOST FAVORITE are their gift wrap paper. The quality of the paper is very good, durable, feels like a material on some of them,, they are good and cute. If you want to be different and special, buy your gift wrap paper here. The only downside, some of the seasonal item like other stores, will not be there all the time. Parking sometimes a little hard, just because the shopping complex are always crowded for the restaurant and bakery customers. HOLY $#@^%$&^!#%@ !!!! The biggest Daiso I have ever seen. This store just opened not long ago and it's clean, neat, organized. Everything here is $1.50. I basically walked in and freaked out for a good 30 minutes. The front aisles: Stationary/beauty supplies. The back aisles: kitchenware/bathroom/home essentials. If you need something, you'll probably find it in some form at Daiso. Lots of different versions of the same thing. Get your scrap-booking material and school supplies here. They also sell those button/coin cell batteries for watches and calculators (refer to photo). Seriously, this Daiso has everything. They have things I didn't even know existed here. I mean, you could buy real silk cocoon balls to clean the pores of your nose and clear plastic earrings to prevent your ear holes from closing up when you don't want to wear earrings--you get the idea. The quality also either meets or exceeds the price tag. I got myself some shoe cushions for my heels, an eyelash curler, a binder with clear sheets (they have tons in all colors). The reason I came was actually to buy a photo album, but none of them fit the standard 4x6 photos. Downside: No refunds, returns, exchanges. You also cannot use credit cards if the purchase is under $10. Debit cards are fine. They only take Visa and Mastercard. Tip: Make sure what you purchase is really what you need. A lot of the stuff here is gimmicky. Have a goal in mind. You may end up looking at random things that you've never seen before and figuring out if you need it or not ("It's only $1.50--why not?"). Easy to get distracted. ---- I am still itching to go back to $1.50 land. Even if you don't need anything, it's a fun place to look around. This location just opened this year and it has already been a big hit for the locals including my wife. I have been there everytime she goes and I have to admit, there are definitely alot of knick knacks that you probably don't need but are just so cool to have. Clean, well lit and very organized. The products are definitely cool since we all know japanese products are very creative, well thought out, well made, compact and very appealing to the eyes. I came here to purchase 20 of face protectors for my coworkers and friends who face to clients everyday as they need them. Ooo all the temptations in this store...almost all for just $1.50! The traffic on Azuza is crazy because of Daiso, at least now while it's still a novelty, so bring you patience cap for traffic and parking. My parents live very close by, so we know that parking just above the plaza on Azuza and just walking down to the store saves time. This store is more organized and bright than the San Francisco Daiso. The aisles are a bit cramped especially with all the people going to check it out. Overall a great place for some cheap items - with a greater variety of useful items than you can get at a Dollar Store. Like the 99 cent store, the stuff may seem like a bargain but if you think about it, some stuff might not be worth it, especially the quality and quantity of it. The air fresheners are usually sold for a buck at the dollar tree whereas it is sold for 1.50 here. However, both fresheners still suck. Might be better to invest in a more expensive one. Love this place for random useful Japanese trinkets - its all the things you didnt know you needed cutetified by asianess. lots of aisles, loads of shelfs and bins to look through, thank goodness I came on a day with nothing to do bc I ended up spending almost 45 min in this store (embarassing? you might think so... until you see the bags of awesome treasures I got and then wanna go there yourself) amongst the deals : I hooked myself up with a plethora of multicolor pens (4 colors plus a pencil) for a fraction of the price ($1.50/2) I pay on amazon ($6/1) or in Taiwan ($4/1). (im taking ochem right now and lord knows I need the colors for the proper drawing of molecular bonds and elements) Sure the quality isn't quite as awesome (somestimes it is!) , but the store itself is a one-stop shop for all the household things you'd want when you want to organize, or be cute, or be clean, or be fun. I love coming to Daiso. It's the best place to pick up your bathroom and school supplies. This is pretty much where I get all of it since it's so cheapppp! Almost everything is only $1.50 unless otherwise stated. The quality tends to be good too. However, lately, I've been on the hunt for a auxiliary cord for my car, and I've been to two other Daiso's looking for it...but no luck. I know for sure they have it though since my friend got hers from Daiso. The only reason I am giving this Daiso 3 stars instead of 4 stars is because I thought it was kind of messy compared to other Daiso's I've been to. I'm not grading down the staff or the service at all. Parking is easy to find and there's plenty of restaurants nearby to eat at. read more

Parking can be a little hectic here. A lot of great stores around here that can fill up the lot. Typical Daiso store. Everything prices at $1.50 or higher. Higher prices are usually clearly labeled. There is such an eclectic selection of merchandise at these stores. From little nik naks, office supplies, gardening, kitchen tools, etc. so there's a great variety, but I can't say that everything here is the best of quality. The price speaks for itself, but when you're on a budget, it's worth it. Now, there's no returns here (don't recall if there's exchanges). They make sure you know that by stamping it on your receipt. Daiso cashier says they don't carry anymore the soft strap facemask for ear comfort that I inquire so I cannot purchase. The cashier with the intent says everything is good including I cannot purchase what I want based on Daiso employees and previous customer of the cashier unfriendlinesses. Everything is approximately $1.50 or a couple extra dollars. I typically just by the items that are $1.50 though because it can be worth it. I don't think the desserts or candy is worth buying from Daiso though because you can buy it cheaper at other grocery markets. If you need something immediately this is the place to go. they have alot of cute gadgets, pens, arts and craft stuff here. Yes, I've been to every single Southern California Daiso locations. I obviously have a problem but I am just so damn in love with this store that I can't help it. I'm ashamed to admit that I visited this location twice in one day. The Rowland Heights location is the newest and my favorite. The store is bigger than the other locations so there's more space to browse. Almost everything is $1.50. I honestly don't buy too much stuff here but their kitchen section is my weakness. They have a lot of organization items but the amazing part is the kitchen area. It's a big area with a large variety of goods. I really like purchasing bowls for just $1.50. I recently dropped a whole stack and broke 4 but I wasn't even sad because they were only $1.50 each and I know I can get tons of other cute ones from Daiso again. You have to spend over $10 to use credit but you can use your debit card for any amount. All purchases are final so choose wisely. read more

It's a cute store. Almost everything here is $1.50 unless it has a sticker on it with different price. I read the reviews on Daiso and made sure I stopped by when I was in LA. I bought a few things, things that I really didn't need but for a $1.50, why not. I ended up spending about $30 on everything. I even got a my dog a little toy but he's not really interested in it. I bought a couple of false eyelashes and look forward to wearing them because if they're any good then I plan on stocking up next time I'm in town. My boyfriend bought screen protectors but he didn't realized there was only one in the package so not really a good deal when you can order them online from a popular website for the same cost with free shipping, and it comes with five in a package. Daiso is finally here!! it is in the same plaza as 85 degrees bakery and guppy teahouse. the dance studio that used to be there moved to the other side of the plaza. long line for the grand opening. it was funny looking at the expressions of the people who were going into the bank since the line went around it. lots of items!! love shopping for cool stuff at $1.50. it's like the dollar tree except with better merchandise. but beware...there are items for more than $1.50. i grabbed a pair of cute socks thinking they were $1.50 but really they were $3. those went back. the grand opening goodie bag was a bag of asian snacks. i found it amusing that 85 degrees bakery hasn't has a line outside since their grand opening weeks. when daiso had their grand opening, it was the FIRST time in a very long time that i've seen a line outside 85. bringing business to the plaza. read more

I remember the good old days when everything in Daiso was only 98 cents! Nevertheless, $1.50 for everything is still pretty darn cheap! I love the wide selection of every possible item you can think of. I can literally spend 3 hours in here without even realizing it. I have a love/ hate relationship with Daiso! Although everything is only 1.50 do not count on leaving here without a large bill if you do not shop accordingly ( Be selective). I would recommend stopping by here before you needa go to Dollar Tree, 99Cent store, Target, Walmart, etc. cause a lot of things that they have here are better quality and better priced. While I still love the Gardena one the best since it's humongous, this one comes close since it's also really large... definitely the largest of the Daiso Japans that I've been to near SGV. And even though it's so large, the employees still manage to keep it clean and well organised! But I was disappointed to see that this Daiso Japan is not the bright pink store like all the others, but instead it's green and orange. What an odd colour combination :/ Like all the other Daiso Japans, all merchandise is $1.50/each unless otherwise marked. And even though everything is so cheap price-wise, the quality is not cheap! This is really good stuff, which for some ridiculous reason is really cheap. How can anyone NOT love this store?! So even though all sales are final, it doesn't bother me since even if I end up never using the item I bought, I'm only out $1.50 :P (although that can add up... thankfully so far everything I've bought is useful!) $10 credit card minimum, but you can bypass that if you use your debit card. So I happened to be in the plaza buying pastries at 85C and saw the bright lights and "grand opening" sign hanging overhead. It's open a day early?! How exciting. Of course I had to go in. Apparently it was just a soft opening. They were open for ~4 hours and, boy, was it crowded in there. The official opening is tomorrow, February 23! Raffle tickets will be given to the first 300 customers. The prize? I have no idea. This location is a pretty good size and well-organized. A good place to go to pick up some cheap Japanese goodies. They have all sorts of things to choose from, including home goods, office supplies, and cosmetics just to name a few. I like that a lot of the plates and bowls are actually made in Japan, which normally go for a hefty price at Japanese markets. Not all are, so be sure to read the manufacturer label to make sure. Quality might not be amazing, but most of the stuff costs ~$1.50 so can't ask for much. I probably will come here mostly for kitchenware and organizational accessories if anything. The check-out process was a nightmare... They had different registers for everything. One for cash, another for debit only, and another for credit cards. It was all backed up because some people took longer than others and there were only a couple registers available for a specific payment method. I love! It's like a dollartree but ASIAN! This place is sooooo useful! They have a bunch of household products, organizers, containers of all shapes and sizes, pots, pans, bowls, utencils, snacks, and the list goes on and on. Almost everything is just $1.50 and a lot of the containers office organizers are a good deal. The quality is good and it's cheap and very useful and practical. The have a wall full of snacks too, I really want to try the 'instant rice' hahaha. It's like how you make ramen but you get white steamed rice instead. I really enjoy coming here. Besides the fact that most of the items are $1.50, it's clean and the staff are friendly. They have a lot of cute knick-knacks that's great for gifts. They also have a lot of really cute school supplies although I don't recommend buying the pens since they run out of ink easily (you get what you pay for I guess). One of the things I keep coming back for are their fake eyelashes (although I personally don't recommend buying any of their makeup). The one that comes in the yellow packaging is comparable to the ones you buy from target or any other drug stores (and you get it for only $1.50!) Really love this place.
