Brightly lit, well organized, and of course I gravitated toward the clearance racks. I was on the lookout for a rain jacket for an upcoming trip but wanted something stylish that I could wear as a layer on the airplane (I always get hot in airports and cold in planes so I have to plan layers accordingly). I found a DKNY short trench coat style black rain coat with hood, machine washable, light but water resistant, originally $75 for $40 on the clearance rack. Tried it on, loved it. (A convenient tall mirror was nearby in a column by the skincare items). Score! I will use it for years to come and it goes with everything. Long line to check out, but it moved fast. Marshalls has an automated system to announce which register is open so the staff don't have to yell "next customer!" in hopes that people are paying attention. The staff person helping me was efficient and helpful and I was overall in and out of the store in 20 minutes. I thought I'd have to find something online since my trip is coming up fast, but you never know how clothes will fit unless you try it on (jackets are less risky but still). I really scored on makeup, I never have enough. They carry name brand products at half price!! The store is very organized, clean and well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful. The check out line is one single row. They average 3 cashiers at a time who will call the next person to approach the counter. This kept the line moving and I was out in a few minutes. I didn't get much help when I asked for assistance finding a specific size, but I also didn't have any negative interactions. The checkout process was slow, with only one register open during what seemed like a busy time. That definitely added to the frustration. Overall, it's not a bad place to stop if you're bargain hunting and have time to browse, but don't expect consistency or a super clean, organized environment. The clearance section seems really large this time around and actually found a sweater dress for $6. It's hit or miss with these deals but if you are looking for something, you may find a great deal.

Every time I stop in, it feels chaotic, with merchandise packed everywhere and very little breathing room to browse comfortably. The store almost always seems overcrowded, and the checkout lines tend to be long, which tests my patience when I was hoping for a quick look around. I usually love the treasure hunt aspect of TJ Maxx, but this location makes it harder to enjoy that part of the experience. Prices are very reasonable, and the store usually offers discounts on just about every item you can find, with many clearance options. The store is ALWAYS fully stocked, as I have yet to see an empty half or cabinet. The store is always clean and well-maintained. The employees I have met during my visits have always been very friendly, outgoing, and helpful. Parking is readily available in the huge private parking lot.

So I always double check the soda flavors I get (sometimes stuff I don't want gets mixed in). Or they don't bring the correct number of units. Always double check your order before letting them go. I saw Burlington and thought it would be a good place to go. My first impression upon entry was WOW. It was bright, clean, and organized. It was my first time here. This is my 2nd Burlington I've been at. The 1st Burlington was at Ontario Mills. Funny, I was so mesmerized with the atmosphere and their merchandises (they got a little bit of everything... selections are good) that I forgot why I was here in the first place. Anyway, I perused around for a little bit. I saw a nice red heart & white flower mug and it was only $3.99. I ended up getting it to replace a mug that I recently threw away. Yay! I also picked up a nose trimmer for my hairy nose (just kidding LOL). Check-out was easy. The lady staff was pleasant. If you're wondering, I did eventually use the all gender restroom. They have two of them that require a code. However, they can only be opened by the staff members... not sure why. Maybe it is a preventive measure from shoplifting. The next time I'm at SDP, I'll have to spend a bit more time here and see what other goodies are up for grabs. See you here!
