You can always go to Five Below if you are like me, a candy junkie. On my good the selections are endless. You can also come here for certain kids items and toys, and the Hello Kitty gear the my wife and kids like to collect. Found my favorite Bottle Caps candy and some different flavored Kit Kat bars. I take my grandkids here on occasion for inexpensive toys. They love walking around and checking out the toys and games. Unfortunately most of the five dollar toys break within twenty four hours but they still love coming here. The last time we came one of the purchases was a kazoo for $3.25 and it broke five minutes after opening the package in the car. Since I was still in the parking lot I exchanged for another. My point being don't expect quality merchandise for five dollars. They have more merchandise for above five and nice choices in candy, games and cheap electronics. read more

This place is alright. It's similar to The 99 cents Stores and The Dollar Tree, but without the produce and frozen foods. It's also slightly cleaner and more organized than the other stores. Sales associates were friendly and didn't mind us or any other customers taking their time browsing. This place has lots of knickknacks. They carry all sorts of stuff from books, kitchenware, toys, clothing, beauty products and everything else in between. I was hoping to find good stocking stuffers/ small gifts for coworkers and friends but really anyone over the age of 15 will not appreciate the junk that they sell here. Everything just looks so incredibly cheap and picked through. The store was messy and disorganized & smelled like a dirty bathroom. Cheap and tacky stuff mostly meant for kids. Go a few doors down to Daiso where you'll find a much cleaner store, with better quality products for way less $$. Will never step foot in a 5 below again. read more

Five Below is a store that sells all items at $5 or less that specifically target young teens with the cute and colorful millennium based items. I have only been to the Five Below store in Alhambra (in the same plaza as Sprouts, next door to Miniso) once but have never been to another store since. But recently, I received a 20% off total purchase coupon in the mail and so I decided to give this store's location a visit. This Five Below store is found in the same plaza as Target, off of the 57 Freeway, specifically next door to Coffee Klatch. My husband and I found parking easily near the store and headed inside. There were Halloween costumes and decor, Halloween candy, school supplies, random toys, t- shirts with silly logos and photos, headphones, VR headsets, stuff animals, cell phone battery banks, cell phone covers and screen protectors, stickers, key chains, blankets, dog accessories, jewelry, sports related items, etc. Lots of random stuff and believe that some items will change according to the season because when I visited the Alhambra location during the summer, there were plenty of summer related items for sale. I ended up buying some cute dog related items for my little girl dog and some cute socks with dogs on them for myself (I think I have finally became that crazy dog lady) and my husband ended up picking up one of the virtual reality headsets to try at home (which worked perfectly by the way). At the register (towards the front of the store), the employee helping with us with our transaction was friendly. She even gave me back my coupon if I wanted to purchase more items before it expired. Overall, we both enjoyed our experience here and bought stuff that we don't necessarily need (isn't that always the case with these type of stores?). This store is a fun place to browse if you are killing time or are just looking for something random to bring to your next white elephant party. It was a nice change up and then she was so awesome when it was time to check out! This store has a great selection of candies, toys, games, some clothing, and more! My only comment on this store is there is a good amount of stuff over $5, but everything is very fairly priced. Pretty cool place! They have useful things like chargers and sports equipment, as well of vanity items like decorative pillows and jewelry. They also carry brand items like Harry Potter and Marvel. This shop is located in a great area and is in a shopping center with other great stores. I was very impressed with my first visit. The store is well kept and has a great variety of items to purchase. From candies and Knick knacks to t-shirts and beauty supplies, they have a lot to offer. And the prices live up to the store name. Used to love this location but after coming in today a young man and women practically followed me around the store to I guess make sure I wasn't stealing?? I'm African American and although I hate to bring color into it why on earth would I steal from a place that's 5$ and below ..... My keys fell off my keychain in the book section so I decided to take a look at the key chains. Before I even grabbed a product my phone text message went off and I went into my purse ( not a full purse . Literally a side purse basically a sash??) grabbed my phone and then grabbed a key chain. Still had the book in my hand etc . A lady goes by the shirts and stays there until I leave the section LOL. Then I get candy.. the young man is sitting there watching me? Okay... I'm not stupid. Obviously not feeling welcomed I head to the cashier. Pay for my items. I told the cashier when she asked "did you find everything alright" that " NO. This place is awesome. My first time here been waiting for it to open. So my boyfriend and I went and they have something for everyone. They have clothes ,coloring books, candles, make up ,printed shirts ,backpacks lights everything u can think of under 5 dollars it's awesome definitely coming back here. If you bought something when I leave u show the receipt to the lady and u get a free bag. The only complaint I have the girl on the microphone was pretty obnoxious. She was super loud and they were doing trivia which she was not great at. It was a fast check out. To make it simple it reminds me of party city / a high class version of .99. For sure coming back.
