Thank you Cameron! Came in to the store cause I needed shoes for vacation. I'm told minimum of 20k steps a day and for someone who clears 6k at most on regular days this trip sounded daunting. I briefed Cameron on my concerns and after some basic question and a foot pressure analysis by the machine he brought out a parade of sneakers! He patiently waited for me to try on and test 16 pairs of shoes maybe more... asked questions about feel and fit for each pair - swapping insoles bring more shoes as we narrowed down what would work best for me. I went to buy a pair of walking/running shoes and as a geriatric millennial, I was hoping some employee there could help me not look like I was wearing orthopedic types shoes. This handsome, young guy helped me discover how much I love Brooks and while I wanted the black ones, the guy told me honestly that I would look better in the white because they looked younger and cooler. I stopped in to look at Hokas and pulled out my phone to start differentiating the different lines before Ruben came over and talked with me. I was quickly surprised by the consultant-tier analysis of my own footprint and foot mechanics, and seriously impressed with the level of product knowledge - the breadth of which is typical of manufacturer reps (which these guys are not), and rarely in retail. After a few minutes discussing my use case with him and trying out his tailored recommendations, I came out wearing a set of Clifton's and a set of custom insoles for my work boots. I was at the Colonies Crossroads in Upland and happened to catch a glimpse of Lucky Feet Shoes. My curiosity flared up. I started researching on it. I found they are a shoe store that offers consultation on the type of shoes that are best for the customer based on a feet scan. I knew I had to pay them a visit. They have a store in San Dimas so here I am. Upon entry, I was greeted immediately by Vic and Samantha. They were super friendly and nice. Samantha was the sales consultant who helped me throughout my visit. She was very professional and knew her shoes. I appreciated her patience, attention, and care. I was super amazed by her exceptional level of customer service. I knew I was in very good hands. Thank you so much Samantha! After scanning my feet and measuring my feet, Samantha knew exactly what my feet problems are. I've been wearing smaller size shoes than I should. I didn't know I should have at least half an inch of extra space in the front of the shoes. Now I know. My go-to shoe brand has always been New Balance. She brought out a few different brands such as New Balance, Brooks, and HOKA. I tried all of them in different sizes from women's 7, 7.5, and 8. I ended up getting all 3 pairs (they provided the arch support I needed for my flat feet LOL) plus a couple most comfortable indoor Sovella sliders and a couple great outdoor sandals. I ended up spending several hundred dollars which I was happy to do so especially in hopes for my feet to feel better and my sciatica to go away once and for all.
