Wow, an even better selection than the Daiso on Sawtelle. It's part of a plaza with a few coffee shops/parking lot so you can just make a trip out of coming here and waste time while browsing. They had some AMAZING socks that I've actually considered buying online (but didn't want to bother with shipping) so I was super pumped to see that. At $1.50 for most items, which range from onigiri molds to house slippers to Pocky to origami, it's practically impossible to walk out of here without buying something (whether or not you actually need it :P ). Interior is bright, clean, a little cramped, but well organized by aisle. There's also a credit minimum, so be sure to bring a little cash or have a debit card handy if you don't plan on purchasing much. This Daiso is much better than the one in Sawtelle. It's clean, the aisles are clear and there's much more variety in this Daiso than the other one. The store is also larger and the set up is generally better. To give you an idea, I had my carry on suitcase with me and my backpack with laptop and I was still able to easily navigate through the aisles. read more

Yes there is one here in LA. I love Daiso like I love my dollar stores to be honest. Most things here are actually $1.50 whereas at home it's $2. It's also larger than the main one at home. The store is a little crowded and overwhelming. And heck if I lived in LA I certainly would stock up on everything and then some! She knew what I was asking about, it didn't take her very long to go see if they had it, and she was very patient while I asked her a couple of questions about it! I don't know how many daiso is available here around ktown but this is super accessible with parking validation and in the madang mall with a ton of other things to do around. It's not the biggest daiso but theh do carry a pretty big inventory~ stop by when you are bored or need something. You never know what daiso might have for you. It's such a great place to shop when you're looking for something small, cute and useful for the home with hardly any money. They have so many things from beauty related items to plates and bowls! I bought about $25 worth of stuff and am in love with every single item. I'll probably be visiting soon when I find extra cash and want to buy random stuff I can probably use at home. There are so many different options and categories of items available. It's a one stop shop for a variety of different things. It's also just fun to come by to look at different things they have. A trendier version of the 99 cent store but less edible goods and its a 1.50 but some items more. They definitely got some cool stuff but kinda seems "hello kitty ish ". Whatever. Cutest little gem! I shopped for about a half hour by myself and must have heard about five different shoppers gasp and screech, How cute... How adorable! They have all the cutsie Japanese trinkets, stationery and paper goods and really unique items for 1.50. I loved it here and can't wait to go back. As an artist I found it very inspiring. read more

I LOVE DIASO STORES!! They are always bright and clean! And the products are of high quality! WAY WAY BETTER than the american $1 stores!! They carry great products for the home, products for self care, cute stationary, holiday decor, awesome Japanese snacks and many many other items! Most items are $1.50 but some are more. Usually there's a price sticker on the item does cost more. I bought a shower curtain tension rod there for $5! At a local big box store they sell for $16! The Diaso one is of MUCH better quality!! I have bought Diaso suction cups for hanging my wash cloth up in the shower to dry and they hold very well! They also carry a few different sizes of tension rods ranging from $1.50 to $6! They too work very well for curtains and other practical uses! These are just some of the items I have personally bought and use everyday. These are wonderful stores, you won't be disappointed! All sales are final though however, I have never had a reason to want to return anything. read more

Very very well priced store for household items. the place has many items such as gloves for winter,other items such as air fragrance bottles. Accessories for iPhones. the price is right. definitely a treasure chest all items. parking is plentiful. if you're visiting ,also get a cup of coffee nearby Bakery. Basically a $0.99 store with Asian flavor to all their products. I bought a lot of office items from here and despite the cheap prices, the items I purchased are still working. I expected it to be a Forever21 version of every day products in which you use a couple of times and throw them out, but I was wrong and will definitely shop here again. read more

Fun store! You can find something for everything. Even found stuff I didn't even need! Parking is tricky. Maybe there's a parking lot but I couldn't find it. Lots of signs and foot traffic made it difficult to figure out on my first visit. read more

Let me get started by saying I love Daiso. I love the face masks and fake eyelashes and cute little candies from Japan... and the prices. Although it's a mess inside, not literally because it's very bright and clean inside, just that there are so many people inside that it's packed like a sardine can and these fish are the type who love to bump into you without even blinking an eye. The sales associates are not that nice either and use the loud speaker, often, in a way that it sounds like the beginnings of dystopian novel like 1984 in there. I get it, the people are loud, rude, bring dogs inside (wtf), eat (and drop the food on the floor), drink (and spill), let their kids open up packages and then don't pay... so I understand why the employees seem upset. The majority of people that go inside seem to have never heard of manners or are not aware of their surroundings and have never been around people. Sometimes being inside Daiso is, how I assume caged up zoo animals would react to being released in a people store. If I was a religious woman I would do a prayer every time I go inside because I'm already clutching my non-existent pearls and cursing under my breath as it is. I can only take so many people pushing me. read more
