I used to go there a lot and loved there.....but there is an extremely rude shop assistant so I will never come back. Why they are so cheap? Sometimes because they are low quality. So many things are broken just easily and quite often they use toxic material for even children products, only for cost performance. Once I had to return here because my pen was broken. The shop assistant, looks like Sotheast Asian woman, said in a extremely cold, rude way, It's not my fault. I know it's not your fault but I'd never seen such rude attitude in any shops in the US. Can't go wrong!! Kitchen & art supplies by far are my favorite isles... So many clever things, but sometimes jut not enough stock! Not a bad problem for Daiso, sad inconvenience for us, but always so many snacks and drinks to distract you. Definitely a one stop shop for living in a tiny cube closet apartment that doubles as a bedroom kitchen bathroom storage-unit to a mansion with whatever your heart desires. No outside food or drink & no restroom, other minor inconveniences. Who knows, you'll probably see me there when I do my regular browse. read more

This place is pretty similar to most of the Daiso I have been too in the bay area. It consists of various products for $1.50 each. Some items are more than $1.50 and if they are they clearly list the price. I wanted more carabiners but they didnt have the size I wanted so I went for a smaller one. Where do I even begin? I've gotten so much stuff from this store oh my glob, it's heaven. ADORABLE note books, fruit scented highlighters, cute pens, A4 folders, felting needles, felting wool, slippers, bento boxes, the most luxurious face towels you have ever felt, gorgeous hair accessories, gift boxes, a tripod for my iPhone, underwear, neck pillows that are actually super soft, Japanese candy/drinks/ramen, trinkets for my phone and bag, household items like cute containers to store my food and tableware, combs and brushes, jewelry... I spent $85 on my last trip and I don't regret a cent. Love this place, I come here every time I go to LA. I hate those freakin' paper bags though, so bring your own shopping tote if you wanna get all your stuff home safely. read more

One of many locations I have visited. Some are smaller or larger than others so you will find a slight differences in merchandise but so far the price is at $1.50 and up but mostly $1.50. Most of the items are from Japan and some made in China. They're a bit different from a Dollar Tree or 99 Cent Only store but I love them all :-). There isn't ANY exchange or returns so be sure you really want to purchase the item. Make sure you read/view the illustrations well for measurements and so forth as most is written in Japanese. However, the illustrations are wonderful. Lol I made a mistake of buying a toilet seat cover for the style "U" of the public restrooms thinking it was the full circle for my home BLAH ( remember no exchange/returns) so I'm stuck with it and a loss of $1.50. This place is a fun store for browsing. Almost everything is $1.50, but the inventory is decent quality made. Most of the things in here are things you would probably buy for $3.00-$5.00 or more, so it's fun to look around and see if there's anything that would be useful around the house. It's hard to describe exactly what kind of items they have in here, but they're definitely a step above the standard 99 cent store. I think everything here is made in Asia in factories obviously, but they're very sleek and polished looking, as if catered towards the Japanese. There are things like mirrors, slippers, small pots, dishes, decorative boxes, organizers, etc. Some items are a little more than $1.50 but they are clearly marked. It's very clean and well organized, fun place to look around if you're in the area though I don't think I'd come here just for this place alone. read more

It's Daiso. It's in KTown, man is it cramped! I'm not fat or anything...it's just really tight in there. They have all the regular things and everything is a $1.50 so that's a win. I really like the selection of plates and bowls. I actually got some new bowls and plates today. The employees are super helpful as well, so don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you need any. WAHH This place is like heaven if you are a poor college student that loves anything and everything cute. Almost everything in this store is $1.50, if not a little more. Things range from household items to stationary to food. Downside is that the aisles are really narrow and there does tend to be quite a lot of people around so its hard to move. I can probably spend hours here but becareful... $1.50 adds up and before you know it... you'll be spending more than you wanted to hahaa. Please bring this to New York! read more

Parking is $1 an hour and if you get out of daiso early there's plenty of stores around to stretch tht dollar lol(: I loved the store BUT the cashier was not very...nice (she has faded purple hair so she's not hard to miss). Rude and made no type of conversation with the customer to ask if they found everything ok. She was talking about the stuff I was purchasing but not to me, more like the cashier next to her. First time here and we loved it, they have lots of cool things. Got some sake cups, laundry garment bags, tea strainer, chopsticks and just the few things that we absolutely needed but there are so many good things here. Make sure to park around the back and take your parking ticket with you to validate it at checkout so you don't have to pay for parking. We didn't know and fully expected to pay but then the gate guard asked us why we didn't validate our parking ticket. We were confused and showed him our daiso shopping bag and he said it was OK just validate next time. He was very nice and it was all good! Will definitely come back to check out H mart and other stores because we were rushing about to keep parking cost low ha ha read more

My most favorite place to shop! Everything is indeed $1.50 unless marked otherwise. The highest price for an item i've seen so far was $6 so it was still a really good price for good quality items. Such a cute and clean environment as well and the store is filled with the color pink. Music playing around the store will always be J-Pop. Employees were helpful with finding items the first time I went however I kept going and going and know where almost everything is!!! Hmm I should probably work here. I usually dislike $1 stores, but this place had me mesmerized that I stayed in it for an hour. My friend had to basically drag me out of this place. I ended up spending $32 from this place, getting things from snacks to various gifts, for example keychains and badge holder things. Oh yea! Ktown has its own Daiso now. I love Daiso and I frequent the one in Hacienda Heights but it's so much more convenient now that I have one right down the street. This one is in an urban environment and is smaller than some of the other stores I've been to. The check out line is super cramped and is right in the aisle. They do seem to have most of the same stuff as the other stores, including the famous $1.50 socks! read more
