Why the heck I decided to come here on a Saturday afternoon I'll never know, but I did find a parking spot, and I didn't leave empty-handed. For some reason, the gate was up so parking was free which probably made this twice as worse but nonetheless, I didn't even have to go around twice to grab a spot. Walking into this store for the first time, I was face to face with Hawaiian Host Mac(adamian) Crunch chocolates, so I knew I was off to a great start. From here, it got better. My favorite Seattle Chocolate brand was here, in bar form instead of truffle but good enough, and who knew Heinz-known for ketchup-makes soup? Besides all the fun stuff you find overseas, there was some kitchenware and even fun chairs, to jewelry and hair accessories, so this place has a lot of random things. The chocolate is what got me though. Ended up finding the truffles deeply discounted due to being 'Christmas candy' so I left with that and a can of the Potato Leek Soup from Heinz. Soup ended up being pretty good, enough where I'll look for another can next time. Now things here aren't cheap by any means, so this will be kind of a splurge spot, but so far, it's been worthy. Looking forward to trying the Sherman Oaks location, and possibly the one in West LA.

If there's one thing you should know about me... It's that I'm obsessed with World Market and this crème de la crème of Cost Plus W.M. locations is in the heart of Los Angeles at The Grove LA. This mega store of cuisines, culture, cookware, bath goods, home goods, candles, gift ideas, incenses, furniture, limited clothing, seasonal fun, bedding, craft beer, wine, spirits, candy, treats, eats and more is pure bliss... I don't just walk in when those complimentary items of the day or week hit my phone with coupons I rush in. That limited supply disclaimer is real! Love using those discounts and am eye my next big purchase from them until the day it returns to its sales price... a Farm Style bar set with double doors, wine glass racks, endless storage and a beautiful rustic coat that makes it both smooth and eye catching. World Market has great deals all the time for both delivery and/or in-store pick-up if you order online and the FairFax/Miracle Mile area location at the infamous Grove lives up to these standards times ten. The wine section at this store is by far the best, great layout, easy to navigate and always organized. The entire store is above and beyond with touches of local charm and of course those last minute grab items near checkout. Love the service and variety. Q-Tip: It is the Grove + Original Farmer's Market so... If you know, you know... I'd recommend an earlier in the day excursion most of the time to find something close by, but if you're planning on being there/in the area for a bit then the lot isn't too far at all. Typically park here with friends, grab a bite or a movie and let the retail therapy happen in the form of this amazing World Market (and co).

When it comes to shopping for unique, artisan products in Los Angeles, no other nearby store is quite like Cost Plus World Market. They have a wide, eclectic array of treasures - from dining room and outdoor furniture, to affordable gifts and imported food. Cost Plus World Market at L.A. Farmers Market has exactly what you're looking for, whether you need to furnish a small space or a big house. They have an affordable selection of stylish furniture for living room, kitchen, bedroom and home office. They also have high quality, top brand cookware, cutlery, kitchen accessories and appliances, extensive international food, beer and wine. The gifts and decor for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and more are also available here.

Shopping in Fairfax, Los Angeles, California... I had just been to the Cost Plus World Market (CPWM) in Santa Ana. However, today, I received an email stating that I could get a free keychain in celebration of International Women's Day. We were near this CPWM which shares the parking lot with many businesses at the Farmer's Market, so I ran in for a quick visit. I grabbed a Pochacco itembto give to my sister, got my parking ticket validated (free for 90 minutes), and asked for my free keychain... yay! I'm really liking CPWM. I feel like looking at the Pasadena location tomorrow to see what other Hello Kitty items are on clearance! Good thing I have no other coupons to use - it will prevent me from buying more... Note: I'll still enjoy looking at the greeting cards, clothing, accessories, jewelry, etc. I don't want to carry luggage and wine home... haha!

Unfortunately, I don't come to World Market very often. I love this place and I need to find time to shop there more often.

There's plenty of plant varieties to choose from as well as plant accessories like ceramic pots in all shapes and sizes. When you walk up to the second floor, the garden oasis continues and then in the evening, the space turns into a restaurant. I first attended Rolling Greens for their floral arrangement class which is $250 per person. It comes with a vase, all the florals, one flower food, and the needed materials to make the arrangement in glass. It also comes with wine or refreshing tea. The instructor spent the first 30ish minutes chatting about arrangements and what itesm to start with, and some simple reflexing of petals and wiring, but I do wish there was a bit more technique learned. I did appreciate them walking through each person to give advice and everyone was incredibly friendly! I was very happy to walk out with a beautiful arrangement. Transportation afterwards was a bit difficult, but now I have the vase to create something again!

I'm not one of those people who likes pushy or overly attentive sales staff, but this place is the total opposite. If you happen to speak to the owners - an elderly woman and man - it's your lucky day. They can hardly waste their breath to speak to you. Sometimes, you may encounter a young woman who is friendly and helpful, but they have such a high staff turnaround, she probably won't last long. It's really a shame because they do have a great curation of pieces but their attitude is so appalling that it doesn't matter how good the it is, you enter and leave with such a bad taste that you would never buy anything from them (I'll buy my Roly Poly chair from 1st Dibs, thank you). As an interior designer, I've purchased many things for clients in the past, but I truly cannot patronize them anymore.

I had bought from Garde online before over the years but never been in person until they recently opened a new store here in NY. Me and my client were immediately approached by a man who introduced himself as the owner who then proceeded to follow us around the store talking all the while a dime a dozen real loud and obnoxious. Not only did we not want this it made us extremely uncomfortable, especially as he was so incredibly unpleasant about all of his clients and staff and even some of the artists they were showing. He would not go away or leave us alone did not get the hint at all. This man complained about multiple staff members to us also mentioned several very well known designers by name as being hard to work with (in his view)despite us showing zero interest in hearing it as some of these people are friends and industry peers of mine, it felt so unprofessional and indiscreet. There was a young girl working in there who must have been so awkward, she seemed friendly and polite would rather have talked to her. My client asked me if we could just leave and said she didnt want to buy anything from a place like this with such little respect for their clientele and represented artists. She is a collector and loves discovering new artists but was very upset at the lack of respect. If i sold through them I would be P*SSED at the way they talked about me as well as the buyers of my work, I have lived in NY for 20 years and never once had such a bad feeling about someone in my industry. Horrible man horrible day and I will never purchase for clients from here ever again and will advise others to do the same. What a way to run a business, great job guys

My friend, cousin, and I were exploring Lido and had grabbed iced drinks from La La Land a few stores down because it was an extremely hot day. We popped into this store and were genuinely excited to look around. We weren't greeted or asked if we needed any help, but I honestly didn't pay much attention to that at first because I was intrigued by the inventory and enjoying looking around. As we made our way toward the back, a man approached us, I'm not sure if he was an employee, manager, or owner, and rather rudely told us not to put our drinks down on the counter. I immediately apologized. We had absolutely no issue respecting that request. My friend then asked him the price of a wallet she was interested in purchasing. He told her the price, but then proceeded to point at the wallet and say to her in an extremely condescending tone, "Do you see what you did from those sugary hands?" He continued making comments about her "sugary fingers" touching the leather. We literally gasped at his comments, her hands were not sugary or sticky. There was a tiny, pea-sized amount of condensation/moisture from holding an iced drink. Regardless, if he was concerned about the merchandise, there were countless respectful and professional ways he could have communicated that. The issue was never being asked to keep our drinks off the counter or to be careful with the merchandise, we completely understand that. It was the way he chose to speak to us. His tone and comments felt unnecessarily belittling and made all three of us extremely uncomfortable. What makes it even more disappointing is that my friend was genuinely interested in purchasing the wallet. We walked in excited to shop and instead left feeling unwelcome and talked down to. Beautiful inventory, but the way you treat people walking into your store matters. You never know who is coming in ready to make a purchase, and no customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed simply for browsing your store. Unfortunately, the interaction completely ruined the experience for us, and we will not be returning.
