How in the world am I so late to World Market's amazing-ness!? This location feels huge and for me, is super convenient as it's right at the Grove / Farmer's Market. They have their own parking lot so if you aren't going to the mall, you can just pop into the store, as well though. The staff here is like whoa! We were so warmly greeted and met with cute quips by one staff, and then our cashier at check out was equally warm as she quickly questioned our buys for some fun banter. Friendly and helpful staff at this location! World Market has so many cool items that I've seen in other places but had no idea you could get here! For example, some cookies from the Honolulu Cookie Shop are sold here! I thought you could only get these in Hawaii and their one non-island outpost in Vegas. I'M SO HAPPY. Also, so many local Los Angeles goodies that make for great gifts for people from local chocolate bars to vegan Malibu & Santa Monica gummy bears. There are so many great items here if you're looking for presents for people and I'm just mad I didn't discover this foodie haven earlier. Why the heck I decided to come here on a Saturday afternoon I'll never know, but I did find a parking spot, and I didn't leave empty-handed. For some reason, the gate was up so parking was free which probably made this twice as worse but nonetheless, I didn't even have to go around twice to grab a spot. Walking into this store for the first time, I was face to face with Hawaiian Host Mac(adamian) Crunch chocolates, so I knew I was off to a great start. From here, it got better. My favorite Seattle Chocolate brand was here, in bar form instead of truffle but good enough, and who knew Heinz-known for ketchup-makes soup? Besides all the fun stuff you find overseas, there was some kitchenware and even fun chairs, to jewelry and hair accessories, so this place has a lot of random things. The chocolate is what got me though. Ended up finding the truffles deeply discounted due to being 'Christmas candy' so I left with that and a can of the Potato Leek Soup from Heinz. Soup ended up being pretty good, enough where I'll look for another can next time. Now things here aren't cheap by any means, so this will be kind of a splurge spot, but so far, it's been worthy. This is one of those places where you go in looking for one thing and come out with eight things. Also, this place helps me with ideas for dinner party ideas. An LA hack when hosting a party you can look more traveled than you actually are by purchasing as many diverse candies and cookies as they have a great international selection with so many counties and their local confections represented. I learned that Pier One Imports is known to have offloaded many of their items on this store. SO great as that entire company has sadly go online. Julian behind the counter is kind and the entire staff is great at helping the consumer have a great relaxed time in the store. read more

I opened a credit card account on Dec. 26, 2025 to get a discount ( 25-30%) on a rug purchase. I felt uneasy during the process ( red flags) and asked for a supervisor. I did not use my card after that day, and made a payment in Jan. on 2/-5/26, I was billed for a fraudulent charge of $ 466.62. I called, protested, paid my acct balance for the rug in full and, told the representative to close my account. I am still be being billed for late charges, minimum interest and paper stmt. I protest these charges each moth and refuse to pay charges I did not incur. Buyer beware! read more

If there's one thing you should know about me... It's that I'm obsessed with World Market and this crème de la crème of Cost Plus W.M. locations is in the heart of Los Angeles at The Grove LA. This mega store of cuisines, culture, cookware, bath goods, home goods, candles, gift ideas, incenses, furniture, limited clothing, seasonal fun, bedding, craft beer, wine, spirits, candy, treats, eats and more is pure bliss... I don't just walk in when those complimentary items of the day or week hit my phone with coupons I rush in. That limited supply disclaimer is real! Love using those discounts and am eye my next big purchase from them until the day it returns to its sales price... a Farm Style bar set with double doors, wine glass racks, endless storage and a beautiful rustic coat that makes it both smooth and eye catching. World Market has great deals all the time for both delivery and/or in-store pick-up if you order online and the FairFax/Miracle Mile area location at the infamous Grove lives up to these standards times ten. The wine section at this store is by far the best, great layout, easy to navigate and always organized. The entire store is above and beyond with touches of local charm and of course those last minute grab items near checkout. Love the service and variety. Q-Tip: It is the Grove + Original Farmer's Market so... If you know, you know... I'd recommend an earlier in the day excursion most of the time to find something close by, but if you're planning on being there/in the area for a bit then the lot isn't too far at all. The selection here is great and they validate parking if you park in the front lot (not the garages), manager was also delightful, but one of the guys at the cash registers needs a serious attitude check. My interaction with him alone turned me off from coming to this location again. Came in, wasn't that busy, maybe 3 people in line. I accidentally spilled a bit of my coffee in one of the aisles, so I asked him if he had paper towels at the front so I could clean it up. "I don't know, I just got here," and then a quick shew wasn't really on my bingo card of responses. Fine, found some little coffee paper towels, basically toilet paper, and spent a good while cleaning it up. My mess, I get it. I do my shopping, ask some employees for help on finding items that were online, one of which I think was a manager and more than willing to help, both were so sweet and showed me where to sign up to get coupons. Then it was time for checkout, and I did everything in my power to avoid this guy. Even re-cued so I'd hopefully get someone else but alas my luck is garbage. Now, when I talk, I like to use my hands and I don't talk quickly. I gave him my items and asked if they honor online prices, to which he said he didn't know. I showed him the items online and he said "just tell me what you want me to put in" with a big huff. I was purchasing the nutcracker napkin rings and 8 napkins, small order. He was counting through the napkins, accidentally messed up one so I said "don't worry about it, you can just throw em in the bag. I wash them anyways" with a smile and he pauses, stares at me a beat too long, then proceeds to mock my hand gestures saying "ma'am you have to give me a minute." Interaction left me so confused I'm being as nice as can be, and here's this grinch. Anyways, I told him I had a coupon since I just signed up once... he ignores me and reads off my total. I repeat myself to which he huffs again, scans my phone and that was that. Shopping in Fairfax, Los Angeles, California... I had just been to the Cost Plus World Market (CPWM) in Santa Ana. However, today, I received an email stating that I could get a free keychain in celebration of International Women's Day. We were near this CPWM which shares the parking lot with many businesses at the Farmer's Market, so I ran in for a quick visit. I grabbed a Pochacco itembto give to my sister, got my parking ticket validated (free for 90 minutes), and asked for my free keychain... yay! I'm really liking CPWM. I feel like looking at the Pasadena location tomorrow to see what other Hello Kitty items are on clearance! Good thing I have no other coupons to use - it will prevent me from buying more... Note: I'll still enjoy looking at the greeting cards, clothing, accessories, jewelry, etc. I don't want to carry luggage and wine home... haha! read more

I bought 2 gingerbread houses for my young grandchildren to assemble. Opening the box on the cuckoo click 3 pieces were cracked. We tried using the frosting to repair, but when assembling the clock started to collapse. Did not have better luck with the holiday house. Damn!!Cost Plus has their curbside pickup down to an art! I called the store to let them know I was there and the kind lady told me where to park; off to the side of the handicapped spots. Literally, 2 minutes later I see her walking out with my artwork! I couldn't believe it! She walked right up and asked where to place it, then carefully placed it into the trunk along with my receipt. From there she asked if I was doing anymore shopping to ensure that I wouldn't have to pay for parking. I was literally in and out within 5 minutes. Amazing experience! read more

I'm a huge fan of this chain, but my last visit at this location was dissapointing. They changed they layout so, besides the store being crowded (they let too many people in) it makes it harder to shop when you don't know where anything is. Also, they hire the strangest folks here. The guy who helped us was wearing a mask, but not covering his nose, got too close to me at check out, he was very hard to communicate with. Not the best shopping experience at this location, way too many roaming inside! read more

The good: This place was very organized and clean. I thought it was cleaner than other locations I've been to. I love their assortment of home goods and the fair prices. It's a great spot to get gifts and fun international snacks. They also have interesting retro toys, mini gourmet food items, baskets, fake plants, soaps, clothes, jewelry, wine, large items of furniture, and much more. It is super fun to come in here to browse the unique inventory. I got my 6" x 9" dining room rug here for $167. It was already discounted from $399 (I think because it was the last of its kind) and I got an additional 15% off for signing up for their newsletter and an additional 10% off for buying the display rug. It was a blue art deco rug and I absolutely love it. It isn't the 1st rug I've purchased from Cost Plus. Make sure to watch our for their sales/deals. My husband put the item in his online cart on his phone by scanning the tag on the physical rug and I was able to get assistance right away with the rug. The bad: They didn't tape up or tie the rug down for us but my husband insisted that we didn't need it. I thought this was something standard they did for rugs. The interesting: If you're sad about Pier 1 closing and don't know where to get your papasans, come here! They have super cute ones. read more

I like the store on West 3rd but I caution anyone trying to apply for a job as sales associate. I spent 45 mins this morning trying to get into Workday only to find out that they are NOT hiring sales associates even though there is an ad that says they ARE hiring sales associates. It's really a shame that they make people go through the process of applying which takes about an hour only to know that they are NOT hiring. They really should remove any job openings that are not current. They are only hiring stock associates now. Call the store to find out if they are hiring before attempting to submit an application. read more

Ahhh. I love this World Market. Every time I come to The Grove, this is the first place I walk by, and the first place I walk in as well. How could you not!? It's probably one of the more well designed World Markets for sure. It's quite comparable to the one I always go to nearer to Westwood, but this one seems a bit bigger and a little brighter. I always love how this World Market always greets you with a little coffee section. What a great way to start a splurge. Anyway - this world market has one of the best selections for food! A very good selection of Asian food, but a huge selection of Italian food! They even had little Hello Kitty pasta?!? So cute! I kinda wished the kitchen section was a little more organized though, by the time we got there - like 7/8PM - all the towels were out of place, things were scattered, and that's usually my favorite section to shop. Some of the boxes of the espresso cups were also torn and some had no price tags so, that was a little sad to see. I still love the shop nonetheless though! The furniture and the design that the store has is my absolute favorite. Very Bohemian chic, would definitely come back! read more

Pretty decor for the house, I love their kitchen items, rugs, chairs, candle holders, baskets, and even their inexpensive jewelry. And the snacks and chocolate are all so good. It's nearly impossible to find a spot in less than 20 mins because the lot is popular and small. My husband and I had the most wonderful shopping experience at the Farmer's Market location of this chain. Wes and Blythe helped us shop for furniture, and they were both absolutely wonderful. I really didn't know what I wanted, and both Wes and Blythe were so patient with me. They made me feel relaxed and understood and heard. They didn't rush us at all. And they offered excellent advice on styles and choices. I have to be honest, I don't really enjoy shopping. I gave them the order number as proof of the order but they refused to give me the product until it came through their 'new' system witch would take 30+ minutes.when asking the manager why he couldn't simply take my order number and check it off when it finally printed from their system was NO! I really like the variety of offerings here but have one big - and consistent - issue. This issue is so common that I have to wonder if management is either not on top of things or are mislabeling items. Almost every visit I look closely at the price of the items, and yet when I get to the register *at least one* of the items costs more than the price listed in the bin or on the shelf tag. And I am paying attention because I understand that customers might throw an item back into the wrong bin. Today near the register were single Ghiradelli chocolate squares at 49 cents. When I got to the register they were magically a different, higher price. Cashier went over to the bin to confirm and then called a manager, who went over, took out both labels and he tells me that the chocolates in the bin are in the wrong place and what is written (in microscopic print) on the label is a different item. But: EVERY SINGLE ITEM in the bin was consistent - this is not a case of items being randomly thrown back into the wrong place. In TWO bins next to each other? (Too bad I don't have photos to illustrate this) My issue is that the manager is telling me this, yet it happens almost every single visit. Bins with consistent product not labeled properly and items cost more at the register. Even if this is an honest mistake, it should not be happening so often. Customers should not have to go on a deep fact finding mission and cross check things on spreadsheets just to get something where they are charged the correct amount. read more
