I had an international beach wedding in December 2020 (yes, in the middle of a pandemic and it was rescheduled 3 times), and my dress had tons of beads and Chantille lace to clean. It also had wine, sand, and random sand brush stuck in it (i.e. twigs, stickers). My dress was cleaned and preserved beautifully in a lifetime guarantee box where I can still see the top half of my dress any time. I highly recommend preserving your dress so you can always enjoy it and maybe hand it down one day. You don't want it to yellow in time! I appreciate the customer service at Pinstripes. When I first called to discuss options, the owner kindly walked me through all of their processes end to end. Their delivery employee was super sweet. They appreciated the business too! The first time I went to pick it up the jacket had not been spot cleaned even though I let them know when I dropped it off. The pants have a lining and they were pressed so hard the material was crumpled together. I paid for everything and left them to redo the jacket/pants. When I came back to pick up the suit the jacket was better and I took it. The pants had double creases and while the crumpling was better it was still evident the pants had been pressed to hard. I left the pants again. When I came to pick them up I was still not happy with the press job. I asked for my money back, the counter person said no. I told him I paid their prices because i wanted my clothes done correctly. He told me they don't have time to do items special. He told me if I took my pants to another cleaner and they looked better to bring them back and he would see what he could do. Really? I already paid for them to do them and for them to do right. I will now try another cleaner inconvenient to my home in order to get quality service.

Dropped off a dress on Saturday and was told I'd receive a call by Tuesday to let me know if the zipper on my dress could be fixed or it would need to be replaced. Tuesday came around and no one called, I called on my way home from work between 5-6pm. I couldn't say a gentleman answered the phone, because he was everything but a gentleman! He was rude as hell, I let him know that I was waiting to hear from the lady that I dropped my dress off with to update me. His response was, why was she needing to call me. Which I clearly had stated, so she can let me know what needed to be done and the cost; before I decide to move forward. He claims they were so busy all day, and that's why I didn't get a call. He mentioned that I needed a new zipper and sometimes it's not worth the work, but he'd get a price and call me back. When he called me back, he quoted me a price. I asked if it needed to be changed, could they possibly put a gold one on the dress. He got smart and said something rude, and the call wasn't pleasant at all. I told him not to do anything to my dress and that I'd pick it up. So I go to get it, and he tells me it was taken by alterations. I never authorized them to proceed, so now I have to go back the following day to get my dress. I told him I'd do a review on Google, which he didn't seem to care at all. Bragging they've been in business for 40 years, I'm pretty sure his mom is the owner and he can't get a real job so he's working there and driving her customers away. Lastly, he called me a bitch as I drove off. But any man who calls a woman a bitch, is the real bitch. Needless to say, some people do not belong in customer service. I hope they lose customers, horrible place to do business with! Save your time and money!

I used Sarah's Tailors to hem a pair of dress pants and the alteration was decent. Then I bought a…read morenew blazer, a nice, all-wool, expensive jacket, and took it in to ask her to shorten my sleeves. The jacket had beautiful hand stitching, including faux hand-stitched buttonholes on the sleeves. She told me she could only shorten my sleeves a certain amount (about a quarter to a half inch) because of the buttons (i.e. to leave enough material between the 3 buttons and the hem of the sleeves). I agreed, as this meant the sleeves would be shortened without disturbing the buttons or the hand stitching. Well, when I picked the jacket up, she had re-set the buttons, removed ALL of the hand stitching AND left picks in the fabric all along the area around the buttons from removing the stitching!! She could have shortened the sleeves more if I had known, or wanted her to, take it all apart and move the buttons. I was extremely disappointed, furious, actually, because all she would have had to do was call me and ask me about removing the stitching. One of the sleeve's row of buttons are not even straight in a row, they are crooked. All of this occurred after spending nearly $50 for the alteration to an already-expensive jacket. When I spoke to her about it, she said 'I made a mistake'. Then she went to get her husband from the back of the store and we went through the situation again. He told me I HAD MADE A MISTAKE by not 'asking her about the buttons'!! This was MY FAULT, according to him, as well as hers!!! He offered to 'try to hand stitch' the threading that was removed but I was too concerned about the jacket looking even worse and then needing to remove stitching in the same spots that already had damaged, picked fabric. They snippily took a $50 bill out of the register and handed it to me and said "Keep the change!" If you have nice clothes, if you want to be treated with respect, do NOT go to this tailor.
