Daisy Delight, Jefferson City, Missouri

In Short: Eat here, get a cheeseburger with extra special sauce, fries, and a Dole ice cream desert. Make sure to try your hand at the retro Pac-Man machine, if your lucky it can even be your table. In Long: Gosh, I have been going here since I was a kid, I used to live just down the street and would ride my bike over to buy baseball cards from the candy stand. The place is a time-capsule, same counters, tables, same dated signage, same uniforms. I hope they never change. The cheeseburgers here are my all-time favorite. I was a vegetarian for over 10 years, and I could still remember that tasty special sauce (it's probably just some sort of weak BBQ sauce) and the thin burger patties. The pizza-burger is pretty sweet as well. This is also one of the only places on earth it seems that serves Dole ice cream, which in this low-fat, non-dairy-crazed society you would think would be huge. Go, go.

All made to order and hot. I always enjoy going here. It's been around forever and still looks like it did back in the day. I first visited this place in 1998 or so. They have a retro PacMan game which everyone will enjoy. The only downfall to this place is that it's a bit pricy. But dang it's good. The Cheeseburgers are the best.

Deliciousness!

They did change the special sauce on the burgers which I'm not a big fan of but the food was really tasty.

My buddy and I were looking for a lunch spot in Jefferson City. We came across what looked like a…read morehole in the wall that was a food truck and they are now a brick and mortar place. We looked over the menu and saw they had sweet tea. More on that in a moment. That's important for Bama Boys. The menu is pretty simple with pulled pork, wings, and burgers. I went with a full order of wings. 10 wings were $20. I thought that was pretty high though they were terrific! I chose them to be naked and had DAT Honey, Spicy BBQ, and Sweet and Spicy on the side. DAT Honey was a superb sauce especially mixed with the homemade ranch. The other 2 sauces were good too. Now back to the sweet tea. As I came in thinking I was going to get a fresh-brewed homemade sweet tea turned out to be purchasing a bottle of that abomination of sweet tea known as Gold Peak. It was comical how fast I told the guy at the register I would rather take a water. Then I receive a bottled water from Sam's. The owner did throw in a cookie for me to offset the price. But I wasn't impressed with the drink options. The service was good though! I really debated between a 3 and a 4 rating but the most important thing to me about a restaurant is making sure my food tastes amazing. JQ's delivered on that and plus the service was friendly and fantastic. I didn't like the price of 10 wings or the drink options but if you don't mind that, JQ's is a solid lunch spot.

Everyone says I should try this place for the wings. So I did. As much I love wings I wasn't…read moreimpressed how the wings was presented, taste like. The wings was little over cooked, tasted like a smoky flavor I couldn't even taste the hot sauce. The stuff was rude when I couldn't understand what order taker was saying I'm Hard of hearing and having a mask on behind a glass window doesn't make it easier for people who can't hear. There no reason for wearing a mask if they are at lest get a clear mask so I can read lips. Also don't be rude to people who are deaf super unprofessional and make people uncomfortable. Employees need take a training test how handle these type situations. Your your going fall into a lawsuit for discrimination

Cool vibe with the dark wood, brick and exposed floor joists. Plenty of seating, nice bar area and a game room with pool tables. I was very intrigued by the Guacamole Wontons and who doesn't love fresh pork rinds. The wontons were delicious and creamy with a very good sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Menu says they are fried, but they almost seemed baked and were not greasy at all. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork rinds are called cracklin'... and they are cracklin' still when they get to the table. Hubs had the 1851 burger with bacon and pulled pork. The pork was done very well. The onion rings were some of the best we've had in a while and there were a ton.of them. I got the swiss burger which was delicious and cheesy with a ton of really good fries. Our server was great and took good care of us. We were very happy with the recommendation.

We ordered the Bavarian pretzels with mixed queso (spicy and not spicy) on recommendation and were not disappointed. Pretzels were soft, buttery, and yum.
