This place is a gem! I came across them online when looking for somewhere to stay near Nashville. We were horribly late in our travels and got there well past when we said we would. Daryl waited up for us and gave us a quick tour of the place before we settled in and went to bed. They have a beautiful home, and Daryl is quite the master in the kitchen. Our decadent breakfast of waffles and berries totally made us ready for the next leg of our long drive. I wish we could have stayed longer and gotten to go outside to their lovely patio, but even our short stay was great. They have special made soap and shampoo, and we had an incredible rain shower in our bathroom. The bed in the Scandinavian room was perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced. Daisy Hill is a very quick drive right into downtown as well. If I'm ever back in Nashville I would definitely want to stay here again! read more

I stayed at Daisy Hill last week while in Nashville for a business trip. I was tired of staying at the impersonal, mid-level hotel close to my company's office, and found this B&B by just doing a Google map search for "hotels." I'm so glad I took a chance and stayed here! Darrell and Linda, the proprietors, were very helpful and welcoming without being obtrusive at all. Although I was gone most of the time at meetings and other functions, it was so nice to come back in the evening and curl up with a book and cup of tea in the sunroom. My husband whisked me away for a surprise anniversary trip to Nashville and booked us three nights at Daisy Hill. The French room was very charming and our hosts were helpful and attentive while not being obtrusive. We were the only guests at the time so everything was quiet and relaxing the little time we actually spent there at the house. There are three common areas you can use: a front parlor, library, and sunroom. There are tvs in two of the rooms but we opted to spend time in front of the fireplace in the front parlor the one evening we relaxed before heading downtown. Breakfast is served at 8:30 - fruit all 3 mornings, and an omelet, scrambled eggs with sausage patties, and pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage links were our three breakfasts. The omelet was our favorite by far. Our room was comfortable and the sheets felt great to snuggle in. Fresh towels and bubble bath for the claw foot tub were nice and there was plenty of hot water each morning for showers. WiFi is free. The location is perfect if you plan on spending most of your time downtown because you're only 4 miles or a a $7 Uber ride from it all. read more

We had booked a room for our first 1 year anniversary in October 2018. After requesting a booking, we get a call from Linda who said there was a mistake and the room we requested wasn't available. She was able to provide us, however, with another room. The library suite. We agree to that and get excited to spend our anniversary there. Fast forward about a month, when I receive a phone call from Linda who tells me that the other room was actually booked and now they have no availability. All she could say was that she was sorry. Now we are closer to our anniversary, with little to no availability at other B&B's. We had hoped to spend the important day in a special place. But now we are left in the dust. Worst part is that she didn't offer anything in return. Just an apology. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend. read more

This past year, my wife and I and another couple were passing through Nashville and decided to stay at the Daisy Hill Bed& Breakfast. We telephoned and made reservations with a woman named Linda, whom we assumed was our hostess. She confirmed our reservations by email, identifying herself as "Daisy Hill Bed and Breakfast." We were particularly looking forward to enjoying the promised "gourmet breakfast" promised in their advertising. When we arrived, we were greeted by an almost intimidating gentleman who identified himself as our host. He produced a multi-page legal document, which he insisted we must sign before showing us our accommodations. The document was entitled "12 South Suite." Such a requirement had never been previously imposed us in our nearly half century of B&B's. The document contained a long list of "Don'ts," each of which had to be initialed before signing on the dotted line. In retrospect, this unusual set of requirements was a clear warning that something was amiss. Once the signing was completed, we departed the house (to our surprise) with our host who escorted us around the back to an outside staircase leading to a two-bedroom suite on the second floor. It was then that we discovered that we were not staying at Daisy Hills B&B but in an ancillary called the "Family Suite." Moreover, when we asked what time breakfast was being served, we were told that as we were not staying at the B&B, we were not entitled to (what our host described as) the "gourmet breakfast." Further, we were instructed to remove our footwear and keep noise to a minimum so as to not disturb the entitled guests enjoying the ambiance below. This, to say the least, was not what we had bargained for. If the Daisy Hill B&B was booked at the time of our reservation, why were we not so informed during the phone call or in the email? Why did our host not explain things before producing the "contract?" Plainly we were screwed. We had signed the "contract" and our credit card had been run. If this is not "bait and switch," I don't know what is. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Visited with my girlfriend for a weekend while checking out downtown Nashville. Darryl and Linda were awesome hosts and the room we rented (French room) came just as advertised. We felt welcome from the minute we stepped in the front door, and didn't feel rushed to leave on our checkout date. 5/5 recommend if you want a quite/relaxing stay with a couple of lovely/friendly hosts. read more

Lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood. First time in Nashville & we were thrilled to find Daisy Hill B&B on the BedandBreakfast.com website. Unfortunately they don't accept their gift cards, but we really enjoyed our stay. Darrell greeted us very nicely when we arrived. We were 2 couples, so reserved the 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apt. Had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Slept very well (have a bad back, so that says a lot) Would definitely recommend Daisy Hill B&B to anyone visiting Nashville. You're close to most everything you'd want to see/do, but far enough away to feel like you're in a nice suburban area. A few important things to share: (1) apt. does not include breakfast (there's a full kitchen, though, so we just shopped at Trader Joe's for supplies) (2) apt. does not include housekeeping, but Linda & Darrell were very gracious to allow us to exchange our towels mid-stay for clean ones (3) we were told that noise wouldn't be an issue, but were told we were too loud one night/early morning. Put a damper on our remaining nights/fun (4) make sure you understand exactly what you'll be paying before you go. We knew the apt. was $275/night and confirmed the 2.8% credit card fee with Linda via email before we arrived. Didn't get specifics on additional taxes and other fees which ended up making our stay almost 20% more than expected. Ouch! read more

I enjoyed my stay at this B&B. My husband and I came in terribly late because of Atlanta traffic. Daryl greeted us and was very gracious in orienting us to the facilities. Importantly, the B&B is very well decorated, clean, bed was very comfortable, temperature was perfect, shower gave plenty of hot water with a Hilton like spray. The soap was memorable --even my husband liked the soap! There was plenty of room for luggage and storage with a dresser, hanger, hooks, and shelves to store belongings. The location is perfect as the B&B is close enough to walk to attractions but far enough away for a peace and quiet environment. We spent 3 nights there and the last night my husband and I succumbed to some of their favorite chocolate mints they had out. To improve, have fresh coffee ready by 7 and when you know people are there until around 4 pm and fresh cookies baked and displayed when someone arrives throughout the day. Instead of saying "can I get you something, say, would you like some wine or water". Always serve water with breakfast and offer some kind of bread for country folk. The B&B was a little pricey for what was offered. Otherwise, you would have definitely rated a 5. Thank you for everything you all did have. We stayed here as a gift from our children. Our stay was just perfect. It is located close to Vanderbilt University. We came to see a play at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. We used Uber to get around and found great service at reasonable cost. Daryl and Lind were great hosts and the other guests were fun to talk to.
